Priority: | normal | Component: | FileZilla Client |
Keywords: | special character | Cc:
Component version: | Operating system type: | Windows
Operating system version: | XP |
Description
Filezilla will fail transferring files with filename starting with the special character '-'. Filezilla will also fail with filenames containing the special character '!'.
Not sure if this problem is only related to SFTP (my case) or to other protocols as well.

I can't seem to download files with the ':' character.
If I wanted to backup the emails from my hosting provider (that uses qmail) I can't use filezilla.
An example filename: 1221232396.H132123P1233.host.hostname.com:2,S
Filezilla will claim to have successfully transferred the file but the file will have zero-byte size and be named 1221232396.H132123P1233.host.hostname.com
I guess the ':' character is disallowed by windows.. but why the zero-byte filesize?

Btw, flashfxp will correctly transfer the file and replace the disallowed ':' character with '_'.
Got logs?
