Description

The problem of viewing and operating with cyrillic-named (Codepage 1251) folders on remote FTP (f.e. 85.118.227.108).

In "Site manager" I tried both "Autodetect" and "Custom charset" with no effect.

CP1251-named folders look correct in list view and incorrect in tree view (above the list view).

Screenshot and logfile are attached.

FileZilla 2.2.32 works fine with mentioned above FTP.

Possible to get temporary access on that server? Without I won't be able to investigate this issue any further.

Yes, you can try both 85.118.227.108:21 or katehizis.ru:21
I've used anonymous logon.

I've just tried it with charset set to CP1251 in Site Manager, worked without a problem for me.

You're right. When I said I tried 1251, I used "1251" codepage and it didn't worked. "CP1251" worked fine.

Thus a problem could be renamed to "Charset autodect problem"
The way to reveal it:

  1. Open 85.118.227.108
  2. Click on "+" in the tree view
  3. Click on "Аудио" (here "Аудио" becomes "Àóäèî". Still no errors in logfile.)
  4. Click on "+" near "Àóäèî" (or just expand branch "Àóäèî")
  5. Click on "Аудиокниги" and we get an error in log:

===
Command: CWD /Àóäèî/Аудиокниги/
Error: Failed to convert command to 8 bit charset
===

I guess autodetect is somehow linked to "nesting level" (can't find better term) of folders.
