Description

When IMPORTING Site Manager data from an XML, the passwords that contain an & (ampersand) loose the &. Escaping them also doesn't help. When using the Quick Connect, the & is treated correctly.

(FileZilla_3.0.0-beta11_win32 on WinXP -- no log file to add but this is easy to test & replicate)

Works for me. Please attach a file that gets imported improperly.

File Added: Problem.xml

File is not a valid XML file. Looks like it has been created with a version <= beta 8.

comment:6 by gertva, 17 years ago

Right, it has been created outside FileZilla.
Why is it not valid? Character encoding?
You know how can I check that?

comment:7 by Tim Kosse, 17 years ago

For example the ampersand wasn't escaped (You would have to use '&' instead of '&'. Please use an XML validator to see what's wrong with it.
For a very quick test, open the XML file with Internet Explorer, it displays an error message if the file isn't 100% syntactically correct.
