Filezilla 3.0.0.-beta7
Under the open a new preference, you specify a list of langs to default the open window to. I did not see PHP. It was hard to search being they are not in alpha order but I do not believe it is there.

Apologies. I went to the wrong Open Source project. This is actually a Notepad++ problem. I just recently found Filezilla and love it. Just wish there was a refresh button to refresh the remote site after scripts are run through the web server.

I have no idea what you mean. Can you please explain a bit more?
"php" is a known file extension for automatic ASCII/binary transfer mode selection, if this is what you mean?
