Description
FileZilla is getting better and better, unfortunately passwords are stored in cleartext (filezilla.xml). I would also appreciate if you could implement the "ask for password" feature in FTPproxy-settings. Otherwise periodicaly changing passwords tend to make hotlines busy.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
As every good program, FileZilla does what it was written for: transfer files from one location to another. No more, no less. Securing (local) files from unallowed access is up to the operating system or some other facility, like disk encryption or something. Because of that FileZilla doesn't even try to encrypt any of its settings - including the password.
So all that is left in this request is the "ask for password" feature for FTP proxies.
