Description
Filezilla's broad feature support makes it a useful tool. However, storing FTP passwords would be much safer if it used the system's password mechanism. Gnome provides Keyring, KDE provides Kwallet, and OS X provides Keychain. Please include optional support for these mechanisms.

This was considered a duplicate only because both this issue and #1373 asked for secure password storage, and FileZilla decided against both. But now, 14 years later, FileZilla has the option to secure stored passwords with a master password.
I think this issue should no longer be marked as a duplicate, and should be re-opened. Would that be possible?
