1. Make it possible on the local size to right-click on a file and select OPEN.

2. Make it easier to save particular directories as individual sites (e.g. Favorites) for quicker navigation to specific places.

3. Make it an option to write the settings to the Registry so that if the XML file gets corrupted, settings are not lost.

3. This argument is void in my eyes. What if the registry gets corrupted and Microsoft Windows won't boot anymore? The harddisk can easily be mounted from a live CD and the FileZilla XML configuration can be copied elsewhere. Futhermore, please keep in mind that FileZilla is a cross-platform application for Mac, Unix and Windows. Having the settings saved into an XML file makes sharing the same configuration file between different platforms much easier.

I'm sorry - but I couldn't get any valuable information from that page. Can you just tell me what that page means? Is it already possible or is the feature yet to be implemented, or won't?

3. I know where you're coming from. I've just had a problem in the past with another program where the XML file got corrupted and I couldn't replace it. Writing to the registry fixed that. But I see your position.

At top-right part of this page you'll find a search bar. There, you can just enter a tracker item (id) and search for it. The tracker id to search for is mentioned in squared brackets.

So for the issue regarding the "open" or "open with" commands, you have to search for the item "934483". There, you will find out about the status. It can be closed with a message indicating that the feature has been implemented, the item can still be open and not yet processed or anything else. Just find that tracker item and study the comments.

Anyway, neither "open" nor "open with" are implemented in FileZilla 3 yet. It is still an open feature request and it might be implemented in the future, but without any given schedule.

Regarding the XML file: FileZilla does a good job in not corrupting the file by doing a two-way store. If, however, you encounter any issues with that, feel free to file a bug report to get it fixed.

According to the item mentioned above, the next version of FileZilla will have an "open" command for the local file list implemented.

As all features either are implemented already or available in other requests already, this RFE can be closed.
