Description

FileZilla 3 is missing an option to easily show or hide hidden files on the client side. There should be a toggle option in the right click menu on the server and client view.

FileZilla 3 has powerful filename filters implemented. Using Edit->Filename filters, you can create your own filters and apply them to the local pane or the remote pane in any combination. If you consider files starting with a dot to be hidden files, just create a filter and apply it.

I am aware of that possibility, however this is way to complex for such a basic and often used function. Actually most of the time I don't need to so local hidden files. However when I need them, I want to have the possibility to enable them quickly, and to disable them again when I have finished with that particular operation for which I needed them. With the filters, this is really too cumbersome. A simple option in the local pane's right click menu, would be much easier.

I do not want to convince you that the way it is is best for all, but it takes three clicks to enable that filter from the filter dialog, 1) click button in toolbar, 2) check the proper filter item, 3) press "okay" button. Using the right-click menu for that would just save one single click.

Furthermore, hiding/filtering directory items is a setting, rather than an operation, so again, nothing that should be in the right-click menu. Last but not least I am not sure that many people need this operation very often. Normally, all files are always shown or hidden files are always hidden for them (because they do not care). Adding such an option just clutters the right-click menu.
