Description
As the summary says, it would be nice to have the possibility to not list hidden files and folders from the server. Example: If you are sharing the root folder of a drive under XP, it lists several hidden folders (System Volume Information and so on).

Assuming you mean the server is remotely, there already is an option to show/hide hidden files. Look for it under Settings -> Interface settings -> Remote file list.

Sorry for my comment, it was incorrect. I thought this message was about the FileZilla Client.
I also agree to this feature request though.

FileZilla Server does not have version 3.
Feature request was regarding FileZilla Server.

Sorry.
This feature won't be implemented. If you want to hide files, just don't put then into a shared directory.

Hmm, too bad. Makes it a bit difficult to share the root of a drive. I know you shouldn't do that anyway, but I use it for remote access. And I don't like the fact that i can see the hidden system folders.
Please? :)
Great idea!
This is why I used IIS for a long time.
My Apache uses the same root folder as FTP server, but I need to exclude some files and folders from being accessed by FTP.
In IIS FTP server it was as easy as applying hidden attribute to any file/folder witout having to re-configure the server.
