Description
I would like to see the logging options expanded to
allow logging to a standard syslog server running on
udp 514. In the config form allow the user to enter
the IP address for the syslog server. Maybe allow a
non-standard port, that would be useful for some
people.
I would only log items such as logins/logouts and
file puts/gets.
Thanks for the consideration.

Please not this issue is not about logging options in general, but about logging to a syslog server. For a feature request for more general logging options see #2422.

Triage suggestion
It appears that syslog logging has not been implemented in FileZilla Server 0.9.60
. In addition, this feature request is 11 years.
I suggest closing this ticket as "wontfix".

Another logging option I'd like to see is the ability to
specify the directory to write the log files to. And also
to customize the file name beyond the two options already
provided.
My reason for wanting the former feature is because I use a
common directory for server logs storage - it is broken down
by server - and have a custom maintenance script run nightly
to rotate logs by day, for the servers that don't do so
themselves, or don't do it to my liking. The script also
maintains the archive of server logs by keeping a set number
of days worth, deleting the old logs. I like that FileZilla
Server has this kind of feature built in, but it's lacking
the customization of these features which would allow for
uniform servers maintenance.
