Backup, Export, Import

Please add a feature that allows Backup, Export, Import
of all users in Filezilla SERVER. Alternatively indicate

We would very much like to see this feature implemented, if for nothing else as a way of rebuilding the settings xml file when it gets corrupted (as it apparently just has for us). Thanks!

I personally would like the import and export feature to allow for the possibility of plaintext passwords. I don't want my passwords to be lost. of course since it's XML those passwords are going to have to be encoded somewhat for certain characters, I understand that.

If it's possible to put in a comment at the top of the XML file stating that certain characters in such as in passwords have to be XML encoded to work in XML, this would be helpful. thanks.

I don't want to have to lose my passwords somewhere because I forgot them.

having the ability to save settings and passwords and accounts, etc allows me the ability to UPGRADE for security reasons or just to be up-to-date.

Triage suggestion

The users are defined in an XML file in the FileZilla Server installation folder. Example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla Server\FileZilla Server.xml

It should be possible to simply copy-and-paste the file for backups and restores. Users can also use a password manager to avoid losing/forgetting passwords. In addition, this feature request is 12 years old.

I suggest closing this feature request.
