Description
Aliases maybe flexible, but it's hard to use when you
need use 200 folders on other drive.
Shortcuts were very informative, and very very easy to
use, and it were one from benefit of FileZilla, not
provided by any other FTP server for Windows.

BulletFTPD by G6 actually does resolve .lnk files, one of
the biggest reasons i havent switched over to FileZilla FTPD

Triage suggestion
You could potentially use NTFS symbolic links to accomplish this. The command is mklink
. At any rate, there hasn't been any movement on this feature request in 12 years.
I suggest closing this feature request.

I was using 0.9.2 beta and just downloaded 0.9.4d. I
downloaded the newest version because 0.9.2 resolved
directory shortcuts but not file shortcuts. I was hoping
that 0.9.4d would do both. Alas, it does neither! I'm sure
there's a good reason. However, shortcuts are easy to use.
Aliases are a bit cumbersome partly because they're
character-based and not GUI-based. Checkout "direct
manipulation" in any GUI design book.
I have a digital TV box (Netgem, if you're interested) that
connects to my TV and hi-fi. It can play MP3 and OGG files
by sourcing them from an FTP server. Allowing shortcuts to
both directories and files would let me create playlists eg
I just create shortcuts to albums (directories) or tracks
(files).
So, please add file and directory shortcuts.
