Download the same file simultaneously from mirrors

Often files are stored on mirrors. So it should be
interesting to download them from different mirror sites
at the same time to increase throughput.

This will never be implemented because it has a bad impact
on overall network performance.

Let's say in a network 100Mb/s max is possible.
Whats faster:

• 100 users downloading with 1 connections each, or
• 100 users downloading with 20 connections each

For individual users such a feature would make sense, but
once everyone uses it, speed would be even slower due to
increased overhead.
