Description
I would think that it would be good if FileZilla could
(optionally!) automatically ignore certain filenames
when uploading. These files would for example be:
- CVS directories
- thumbs.db (thumbnail file automatically created by
Windows)

It might be useful to implement this as an download rules list
supporting wildcards. So for examples when downloading
directories from project gutenberg I can tell it to ignore the
human genome project files (*hgp*) and files with certain
extensions (*.mp3). It might be a good idea if you could
define different default actions for different rules, e.g. ignore,
ask for approval &c. being able to define rules based on size
would also be useful.

I would also like to have such an option, especially for CVS-
Directories and the thumbs.db files.
Maybe one general setting and one extended setting for the
chosen server.
I think this would make filezilla more perfect than it is now :-)

FileZilla 3 (beta) has the ability to filter files and directories for listing/transfer based on name and size.
Different default actions are not implemented as they seem to be not really needed. Activate the first filter, fill the queue and transfer the files. Once done, go on with next filter, apply a new default action for the queue, and start the transfers.
Closing this RFE.
