#195 closed Bug report (rejected)

Changing netware servers (and downloading files)

Reported by: anonymous Owned by:
Priority: normal Component: FileZilla Client

Component version: Operating system type: Windows
Operating system version: XP Pro SP3

Description (last modified by Tim Kosse)

When logged into a netware server it is possible to
also access other servers in the same tree.
This is done with the command
CD servername/volumename/directoryname/ etc.
etc.

Filezilla removes the first / and
sends /servername/volumename/directoryname/
which of course fails. Some way to override the default
behaviour so that the other servers can be accessed
is required.

Yes, this would be handy.

I have the same issue. Is there any way to over-ride the
default slash stripping behaviour?

This bug report has been closed due to inactivity and has possibly
already been solved.

You can reopen this report if the issue still exists in the
latest version of FileZilla (Server).

Summary: Changing netware serversChanging netware servers (and downloading files)

The problem still exists, even in client v3.4.0. :-(
I believe the solution is quite simple - just do not replace double (back)slash ('' or '
') with single (back)slash ('/' or '\').
Now there is no possibility to download files from path like this "
host/volume/dir", because FileZilla converts it to "/host/volume/dir" and of couse there is Invalid path. :-(
Compare how Core FTP Lite handles Netware servers - just perfect (there is even automatic folder refresh after server changing).
