Display Auto/Binary/ASCII in status bar

Description
Please add the current Transfer Type (Auto/Binary/ASCII)
as one of the panes in the status bar. I have often made a
mistake uploading or downloading a file with an unusual
extention (or none at all) when the current transfer type is
set incorrectly. It would be good to get a quick visual
reminder of the current setting in the status bar.
