Would it be possible to total up the file sizes for a
selection (possibly recursively if dirs are included in
the selection) and display the total as a right-click
option?

Nice to see it total files in the current dir - I take it there is no
way to get it to recurse short of actually queueing the files?

FileZilla 3 shows the number of selected files and directories as well as the file size total of the selection for quite some time already. However, there is no way yet to recursively get the size of a directory.

The search function can be used for this.
Since getting the total count and size is a very expensive task, this has to remain an explicit task performed by the user.
