#1608 new Feature request

cut, copy, and paste

Description

I would like to see the ability to cut, copy, and
paste files between both, local and remote directories.

Accordingly, cut/copy/paste icons should appear in the
toolbar and in the right-click (drop-down) menu.

If this feature is ever implemented, then FileZilla
would become, for my uses, a replacement for Windows
Explorer.

Agreed. Additionally, implement explorer-like drag-n-drop copy/move modifiers using Ctrl/Shift keys while dropping in the local or remote windows.

Could we have this on Linux version too ? Nautilus and Thunar compatibility would be welcome...

If a make a "copy" on folder "root" in nautilus, and then paste it in a Text-Editor, then I got :

/root

:)

Drag'n'drop is unrelated to this RFE. Drop'n'drop is implemented already in FileZilla 3 (beta) and if you have further ideas on how to refine the current implementation, file a new RFE after searching (and not finding) an open RFE regarding that topic. Thanks.

This RFE is only about cut/copy/paste context menu items.

See the following RFE for copy'n'paste between FileZilla and other applications:
