Description
A command that synchronizes a local with a remote
folder would be neat. Time zone settings would be
needed for this in order to properly compare timestamps.
See request 542700 for time zone settings.

What some clients (namely DreamWeaver) do to get around the
time differences is to set the timestamps on your local
files to the timne on the server.

This will be a GREAT Feature!
I hope, you will include it as soon as possible

Would be a very useful feature. Sychronise options for
entire site and selected files/folders (through context menu
on server and client listing). Probably not possible for v2
(2.2.5 being the last version of 2), perhaps this could be
in v3?

See another request for something similar:
[ 528956 ] Compare remote and local directories

Would the Admin/Mods/Developers please update us on the progress of this FR?
Single directories can be compared already, as stated in the following RFE some time ago already:
[ 528956 ] Compare remote and local directories
Besides that, directory synchronisation hasn't been implemented yet. There is no ETA on this feature, but it is not forgotten. There is not much more to say about this, sorry.

Automatic single-click synchronization would be awesome!
You could even eliminate the need to start the program.
I'd only need the UI to set-up pairs of folders and then have a link that syncs all my pairs.
With such a feature implemented I can see FileZilla's popularity really soar.
I think this FR's priority needs a boost...
Maybe I'm taking this too far, but in the future you could perhaps set up filters so that not all files are synced...

FileZilla as-is is not supposed to be a sciptable all-purpose file transfer program. It is meant for interactive usage. There might be a (scriptable) command line client at some point in the distant future, but nothing like that anytime soon.
And FileZilla 3 already supports filters. Just check the menu in a current version.

Automatic single-click synchronization would really be an interesting feature.
I'd like to see it implemented.

Summary: | Folder Synchronization → Automatic Folder Subtree Synchronization |
---|
I changed the request to "automatic folder subtree synchronization", because whatever saves clics is good and FileZilla keeping an eye on any change in a folder subtree and automatically upload added/modified or delete deleted files saves a lot of clics during development.
To be able to switch this on with one clic on a symbol in a list of remote sites would even be greater.

TurboFTP (http://www.turboftp.com) did a very good job on
this function.
