Description
I have been gladly impressed by FileZilla. I'd never found an ftp program so good... and it is even
better considering its wonderful price ;).
There is a feature that I have been looking for from long time ago in an ftp program that I haven't
found yet. I think it could be a great complement for FileZilla. This is a "backup mode". I think it
could be very helpful for webmasters with slow dial-up connections like me that want to make
backups of our websites, but without wasting the time of downloading all the files that haven't
changed since the last backup.
It could be implemented as a new feature or simply as a new option in the dialog box that appears
when a downloaded file is already in the local computer. In addition to the current "Overwrite",
"Rename" and "Skip" options, this new button could be called something like "copy only if newer".

I'd like to second that request.
Also is it possible to store the servers time zone, or time
difference along with the other data in the site manager.
I connect to server that lag behind my time zone by quite a
few hours, and it would be nice to take this into account
when comparing timestamps for downloadin only newer files.

I just found this yesterday. This is great. I have just
uninstalled 3.6mb of CuteFTP.
The way cute handled this feature was to highlight the
differences. That way you could choose what to
upload/download visually. This is cool if you have a file
with config info or something like that and you don't want
it copied over.

Overwrite if newer has been implemented in FileZilla 1.4
The timezone thingy is still missing but will be added
later.
That's a good idea! I'll implement it in one of the next
releases.
