Description

Dear FileZilla Development Team,

First off, let me say that FileZilla’s functionality and reliability have long been appreciated by its loyal users. However, it seems that when it came to adhering to basic design principles, your macOS Dock icon decided to take the road less traveled—an oversized, self-aggrandizing rebel among its modest peers.

While every other application on macOS dutifully follows the simple, time-tested rules of visual harmony, your icon appears to proclaim, “Look at me, I’m bigger and bolder!” This deliberate departure from established guidelines isn’t just a design quirk—it borders on an unintentional display of arrogance, making the rest of the beautifully curated icons on the Dock look like they’re suffering from an inferiority complex.

One might wonder if this choice was made in the spirit of avant-garde artistry or if it’s simply a case of design oversight. Either way, it’s difficult not to notice the jarring incongruity: while the rest of the macOS interface whispers understated elegance, the FileZilla icon shouts for attention in a manner that is both perplexing and, frankly, a bit irksome.

With all due respect, we ask that you please reconsider this “unique” sizing decision. Aligning the FileZilla icon with macOS’s standard dimensions would not only restore the visual equilibrium of the Dock but also acknowledge the long-standing wishes of a user community that values both functionality and harmonious design.

We trust that your commitment to excellence extends beyond code and functionality, and that this adjustment will reflect a renewed appreciation for the subtle art of design consistency. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback—one that is as earnest as it is a little tongue-in-cheek.

Sincerely,
Umut
