Description

Each time I update FileZilla, it gets unpinned from the Windows 10 start menu, and I have to pin it again.

I update using the regular procedure: when I get the notification, I click on the "update now" button and follow the wizard.

I just tried the following, in Windows 10 64-bit:

  1. Pinned FileZilla to start
  2. Ran an update check
  3. Updated from 3.16.0 to 3.20.1 -- after opening the Start menu, the FileZilla icon blinked but remained present
  4. Re-ran the 3.20.1 installer (in case it only applies to the newer installers): same result as step 3

Normally I have it pinned to the taskbar for easy reach, and it's never disappeared during any update.

I'm curious as to what's different on your PC that's causing the easily-confused Explorer to get mixed up. You can have multiple shortcuts to the same program inside Quick Launch, but that should only break taskbar pinning.

I made the latest update today and it didn't happen, so I'm closing the issue
