Description
The OS X FileZilla window name shows the FTP account description and the username as a window title. It seems that you're using URL-encoding, at least partially. E.g., a username containing the + character will instead display %2.

This is intentional. Some form of character escapement is needed to resolve ambiguity in the displayed data. URL encoding as established and well-specified encoding scheme is the obvious solution.
