Description
Hello,
I found 2 Bugs concerning VMS:
1) When I want to change the remote directory to
somthing like "W:[XXX]", then text ist changed to "/W:
[XXX]/" and the directory listing fails.
2) The Version information within the VMS filenames
(fname.ext;1 fname.ext;2 ...) is stripped and so I get
several files with the same name.
regards
Guido

I've one question about the file versions: When uploading a
file which contains the version information (using "STOR
sample.txt;3"), what does the server do?
Does it discard the version information and
create "sample.txt;4" (or whatever the latest version would
be), or does the server create a new file, in this
case "sample.txt;4;1", or does the server refuse this
command cause of the version information given?

Sorry,
me and my ftp-server, we don't know the STOR-command. If
you use the PUT-command ("PUT sample.txt;3") you get an
empty sample.txt;4, if you use "PUT sample.txt;3
sample.txt;3" then you get "sample.txt;3".
In the other direction, if you say "GET sample.txt;3" you
get sample.txt.
These file versions are quite disturbing, and for me it
would be the best to see only the newest file without
version.
