I've put up a .desktop file with the translations available at: http://mdk.jack.kiev.ua/trunk/l10n/$lang/messages/menu-messages-main/menu-messages-main.po

You're probably right.
I can not say for all the translations, but the pt and pt_BR are correct:)
Either way, just thought I could help :)

Please attach an updated filezilla.desktop with just the correct pt and pt_BR translations added.

Did you actually look into that file? It contains far too many incorrect translations. Painfully obvious errors in there.
