Description
Using FileZilla V 2.1.8c
If I have an .xls file open in MS Excel, filezilla fails to
upload. I must first close the file in MS Excel and then
re-FTP.

Well, switch to Open Office :-)
This is a problem with MS Excel, it keeps the file open with
write access.
FileZilla cannot upload files which are open with write access
by any other program for obvious reasons, if someone writes
to a file while it is beeing uploaded, the resulting file on the
server would be corrupt.
