Binary files with hashed filenames are not downloaded as binary

Description
Latest update 3.2.6.1 doesn't download attachments with hashed filenames from SMF Simple Machine Forum software 1.1.9 as binary although I choose binary, and unchecked []treat files without extension as asci.
BTW version 3.2.6 (yesterday) with settings as above did download them as binary.
BTW ws_ftp and cuteftp have no problems, even on auto.

I have no logs, but possibly fault lies in fact I didn't restart after applying/editing settings.
Today I've tried again and it worked (had closed Filezilla and started again
today)
BTW, with hashed filenames (without extension)new in smf 1.1.9, can Filezilla see difference between asci and binary files? (or is that more a question for forum?)

Detection is purely based on extension.
Highly doubtful. Nothing has changed between 3.2.6 and 3.2.6.1 that could possibly cause this.
Please attach some logs of the transfers.
