Problems when refreshing directories on the server

Description

OS: Ubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Eft)
Filezilla: 3.0.0-beta 10

My first bug report, so let me know if the information is insufficient.

I encounter problems when trying to refresh the directories on a server - but find it hard to reproduce the behavior.

I deleted a file with Filezilla. I then load a webpage with a PHP-Script that creates this file from scratch if it doesn't already exist. When I then try to refresh the directory in FileZilla (where it still shows "empty"), I get a timeout and the conncetion to the server is reset.

I have attached the log.

Thanks for your work, so excited that now I can finally use my favorite FTP-Client on my favorite Operating System.

FileZilla log (level 3)

comment:1 by Tim Kosse, 17 years ago

Please attach a log with debug level 4 from beta 10.

Also, please try tomorrow's 2007-06-09 nightly build from http://filezilla-project.org/nightly.php and attach another log with debug level 4.

FileZilla Log debug4

comment:2 by aguafuertes, 17 years ago

I could not reproduce the error following the steps mentioned above. But managed to get the same error message, this time by:

  • deleting a file from a directory on the server
  • disconnecting
  • Using the reconnect button

I aateched the log (debug 4).

For trying the nightlies, do I have to compile them or are they provided as binaries (never compiled before)?

The nightlies are provided as binaries. Can be extracted just like the official releases.

FileZilla log debug4, this time reproduced as originally reported

comment:4 by aguafuertes, 17 years ago

I could reproduce the issue as originally described, this time with debug=4.

Steps:

  • delete file on server
  • reload webpage which will create the file from scratch
  • refresh server directory causes FileZilla to timeout and cancel connection

I'll try the nightlies then tomorrow.

I attached a log with the nightly build 2007-06-09 and it seems to work now! FIleZilla does not reset the connection!

Thanks.
