#2598 closed Feature request (wontfix)

Display time and date in server welcome message

Reported by: janjatovic Owned by:

Description

%t and %d will include current server time or date in Welcome Message just like %v includes current version.

With this new feature it is possible to retreive time/date from FTP server in order to setup time/date on remote embedded devices such as POS terminals and similar.

This would make the welcome message change per login, which is not good for performance reasons. Also see #2413.

Triage suggestion

It appears that this has not been implemented in FileZilla Server 0.9.60. In addition, this feature request is 10 years old.

I suggest closing this ticket as "wontfix".

@janjatovic, NTP is the correct way to configure time and date on devices. %t and %d sound very much like they would have problems with localization (that is, "April" or "Abril" or "Avril").
