message log posting nonstandard error messages!?!?

Description
instead of the standard error messages such as
password required, login incorrect, etc It says unable
to connect
please fix this..

"Unable to connect" is just the end result. The true reason
is within the reply from the server. However the text of the
reply isn't specified, so it won't be possible to use error
messages that detailed as you describe.
