My MacBook Air is using OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5

From the trac.filezilla-project.org site I click the green button on the download Client File Zilla.

1) I see, at the bottom left of my screen, it loading. It takes about 5 seconds, I briefly see a green check mark and then I see up at the top of my screen:my sophos anti-virus says "Adware or PUA detected by Sophos Anti-Virus" and "Adware or PUA InstallCore (ID:5) has been blocked and listed in Quarantine Manager" When I open Quarantine Manager I get: /Users/agw/Downloads/FileZilla_3.34.0_macosx-x86_setup_bundled.dmg

2) When I click on the rectangle for FileZilla, I get a 'warning' box that says 'the following disc images couldn't be opened' and then I get a small 'chart' where under image it says FileZilla_3.34_0 macos and under 'Reason' it says 'Permission denied'.

after 4 or 5 minutes of ftp download i have a reboot of my Mac mini (every time i use this version of filezilla) - the system information log indicate a kernel panic in some filezilla component- i use the last filezilla version 3.34.0

I installed FieZilla, which immediately offered me a new version. I accepted and was sent an archive. I did not find a readme or other installation guide. For example, the de-archiving program asked me what to name what I was extracting. I assume that has to be a name that will be recognized by the OS desktop environment's main menu. I don't know what that name is, although maybe someone on the Internet knows. I assume I have to configure configuration files external to FileZilla, but I don't know which files or to say what. I assume the installed directories and files have to go to certain locations, but I don't know where and it's probably not the de-archiver's default destination, which is the /downloads/ directory for my login. And I think I see "nightlybuild", perhaps as an owner's name, which suggests that I'm upgrading from a stable version to an unstable one without notice, even though the right-hand version number is "0".

Please include an installation guide. A root-level readme.txt file might be all we need.

Please tell us if the new version is stable, especially in the old version's offer of a new version.

When I download a folder containing thousands of files and sub-folders I receive a lot of "Target file already exists" pop-ups. I am downloading into an empty folder, so apparently FZ is trying to download the same file twice. I can see from the timestamp of the "already existing" file that it has just been downloaded, but now the file apparently is being downloaded again. I have also observed, that the file that is to be overwritten is smaller than the source file, i.e. the file wasn't transferred fully, but I did not receive any error messages. What is going on? I am really worried if I can trust that everything has been downloaded correctly.

I upgraded to 3.34.0, and now my site manager which lists my sites is super narrow and I cannot change its width.

when using socks5,i upload file less than 8760, it displays 'transfer success'. but file size is zero in server. i tested other ftp client,all are ok . i capture packets, the filezilla client uses EPSV mode, others use PASV mode,maybe this is the problem.

As soon as the language is set to default system language (which is german on my system) or to german language, the settings/preferences windows uses the full width of the screen.

Is this a FileZilla problem or a GoDaddy problem?

Why is the Port field in the General Tab always empty after clicking on Site Manager to connect to a previously saved server, even though I saved the port number during the initial setup? I always have to manually enter the port number before connecting to my site. Any insight on this?

When I tried dragging and dropping a folder from the FTP site unto my desktop pc, I received the following error. It wouldn't let me move anything from within FileZilla to my desktop, where it used to in the past before the last update. Can this be fixed?

Please note, I can drag and drop file to replace things onto FTP just fine, just not the other way around.

Hello, In previous version 3.34.0 it was possible to edit/delete:download from the search module. With the version downloaded this morning 3.35.0 it is not the case anymore. Is it a bug or normal behaviour due to a chnage of Policy ? See attachment. Rgds.

Running the following command: "C:\Program Files\FileZilla FTP Client\filezilla.exe" ​sftp://[creds]@[site] --local="X:\local path"

In 3.34.0 this opens the remote site and the local directory just fine.

In 3.35.1 this opens the remote site, but defaults the local directory to last used local directory (if I was in "C:\Users\[username]\Desktop\ for example, it would use that) and not the local directory specified on the command line.

filezilla.exe" -c "0/MyFTPSiteEntry" doesn't function or is ignored after upgrading to build 3.35.1 from 3.33.0.

The "Remember Passwords" dialog box, which asks you if you want to save passwords with a master password or not at all, has the word "reconnnect" which should be "reconnect." See below:

I can't drag and drop from the server to my folders outside FileZilla, only inside.

From version 3.35.1, all command line options are not working, except -h and --help.

At least I have confirmed -s, --site-manager, -c, --site=<str>, -a, --loal=<str>, --close, and not even -v nor --version are not working, and FileZilla client just starts as no command line option is fed.

The app keep telling me there is a new version, when downloading and install my Imac (10.11.6) chrash every time. I want to disable new version or have a fixed version.

Command-line argument (-c, --site=<string>) not working since upgrade to 3.35.0. Client does not Connect to specified Site Manager site, it just opens as if no arguments were specified. All works as it used to when I downgrade to 3.34.0

I have Windows 10 Build 1803 (build SO 17134.167).

When I drag a file from FileZilla directly into a folder on my computer, without using the FileZilla folder explorer, I get the error asking me to install the shell extension.

If instead I drag a file from the computer to FileZilla there are no problems.

When starting the client via command line, FZ starts up but does not invoke any site settings. E.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client\filezilla.exe" --site=mySite starts the client but does not initiate a session using the mySite settings. It behaves the same as if --site were not specified.

Since the most recent update I've been unable to launch filezilla. I've even deleted the app and re-downloaded it from the website to be sure I'm using the latest version.

I hunted for files in Library to delete to have a completely fresh install but couldn't find any supporting files.

I've looked in Console and it's reporting the following lines which appear to be related to code used the launch the app:

When I open FileZilla it crash. I just have a menu with FileZilla, no submenu and nothing else. I have to force him to leave.

Recent versions of FileZilla will not download certain text log files which contain very long lines or weird escape characters. I know one or the other causes the issue, but I can't tell which is the problem. I can upload these weird text files using FZ, but they cannot be downloaded using FZ. I have tried "auto", "text", and "binary" modes when downloading.

The attached "access_log_search.2018-08-01" file is an Apache server log file in text format from my hosted site. This file is a compilation of a certain type of SQL hack. This type of attack has no affect on my site, but the very long lines or an escape character prevents me from downloading the server log for that day. This is VERY annoying and so I must fall back to other methods to download the log file. While every line in my example log file is weird, just ONE of these weird lines in a log file causes FZ download to fail on that line.

I can understand that if "text" or "auto" modes were used to download, an extremely long line-length or perhaps some weird escape characters inside the file might cause FZ to fail. But I don't understand why the file download hangs if "binary" mode is used. FZ should not process the file contents in that mode. It should just flow the data to my computer.

This download error type seems to be due to a relatively recent change in FZ. I've downloaded these rather strange log files many times in the past. From my experience, the issue seems to have been introduced within the past 6 months.

However, I cannot decide if this is a FileZilla issue or an FTP host issue. My hosting company (Web.com) says this is a FZ issue. I do not have any problems using the online file manager to download these weird log files. But using the Web.com online file manager is a nuisance.

From the verbose mode FZ debug log below, the error line which appears to describe the problem is....

"Error: File transfer failed after transferring 1,400 bytes in 20 seconds"

The retry gives this similar error line...

"Error: File transfer failed"

The full verbose level 3 debug log from is attached as "filezilla.log". I also appended the status screen log from an earlier attempt in "filezilla status window.txt".

By the way, all personal information was masked in both FZ logs. This is a security issue which should be corrected in the FZ log files. The debug logs do NOT need to include FTP hosts, URLs, usernames, or IP address specific to an FTP host.

I have not used FileZilla for a few months. I need to update some of my website files, and when I opened FileZilla to transfer them, there was a new update option. I updated to the newest version, 3.35.1.

I always move 1 file first to test and make sure everything is okay. I moved 1 file over to update. Filezilla said that it updated successfully and the last modified date is today. Then I went to the website to be sure the changes were reflected, and there were NOT!

I checked the source code on the website and it shows that it is still the old file. I am not sure if this is a server or client problem.

I have not used FileZilla for a few months. I need to update some of my website files, and when I opened FileZilla to transfer them, there was a new update option. I updated to the newest version, 3.35.1.

I always move 1 file first to test and make sure everything is okay. I moved 1 file over to update. Filezilla said that it updated successfully and the last modified date is today. Then I went to the website to be sure the changes were reflected, and there were NOT!

I checked the source code on the website and it shows that it is still the old file. I am not sure if this is a server or client problem.

I use the rename feature quite often within FileZilla and just recently it seems to not work properly. I change the name and it reverts back to the original name. After I select refresh the new name appears. So it seems to be updating the name but not showing on the screen. Please let me know if there is a fix. This just started with the latest update I downloaded.

Example - data being sent is pricing data for different manufacturers in the outdoor power equipment industry. In this case, the package quantity column, a three character field, contained ##1 instead of 001. The data files on our computer had no corruption until a user of our service tried to process the data after we uploaded the file via the FileZilla client - version 3.35.1

I have been attempting since yesterday to connect to the FTP site using the same connection method I have used for years. My version of FileZilla Client is 3.35.2.

As of fileZilla version 3.35.2 the -s and --site-manager command line parameter switches do nothing when specified after the program path and name (out side of the ending double quote) in the properties box of a windows 10 desktop icon. I tried using -site-manager as well, but that gave me an unknown command message, but with either -s or --site-manager, no error message is displayed.

I expect that the -s and --site-manager switches should display the site manager dialog after fileZilla starts.

I routinely use FileZilla client with two FTP servers. Immediately after updating the client to version 3.36.0 it started routinely crashing while "Retrieving directory listing..." from one of these servers. With the other server, I see no problem.

The filezilla software closes after a few seconds after I update the latest version on this day.

Before version update I was able to use "Alt key" to select non-adjacent files for group uploads. After update this no longer functions.

I have updated just some minutes ago to the latest version and every time I try to connect to an FTP server, after "reading folder" the software crash. It happens with every FTP I'm working on. It was all good before the update

See attached screenshot, in which "inbox" is shadowed over Chrome. This remains even after closing the program, until I disconnect my monitor or change my display settings. It does not change if I connect to a second site; the first one chosen still remains as a shadow. I am unsure whether this was happening only in version 3.35.2 or if it continues in 3.36...I had to uninstall 3.36 because of the FTP/TLS changes until I get a response from my customer about settings for their server.

After several days of continued OS operation, and sleeps, the main menu icon bar, puts he wrong icons up. see attached example. the close and reconnect server buttons, has the setup icon by mistake.

I'm using FTP 3.37.0 (compilation date 2018-09-17) under Windows 10 Enterprise (Version 1703, 15063.1324), all in french.

Settings:

I've a site registered :

• FTP Explicit with TLS if possible;
• Host name setup, no port setup (21 used)
• Normal authentication, login with a '|' and a regular password
• Second tab is left empty/default;
• Third tab is set to passive transfer mode, nothing else modified;
• 4th/last tab left as default.

It's not a public ftp so i can give it by mail but not in public.

Usage: The certificate is expired, and is well raised as expired with a pop-up, with expiratino date in red (level 0). But when i use the drop-down list to see intermediate certificate (n°1) and root certificate (n°2), the expiration date is colored red, even if their expiration date is in the future.

Abnormal behaviour: It seems that the red color of the 'expiration date' zone is kept red for other level than level 0, even if they are not... Shouldn't it be only the expired one that must be in red, and not the other ones ? If in red, we can think that it's expired, even if it's not ;-(

Drag and drop files from ftp server directory to windows explorer doesn't work anymore.

The feature stopped to work for me around 3 version / 3 weeks before (at around Sept 1, 2018)

OS: Windows 10 Pro 17134.254 FileZilla client version: 3.37.1

Step to reproduce:

1. Connect to any FTP server
2. Try to drag and drop any file from ftp to desktop (or other explorer window)

The drag and drop operation fails with the following popup message: "Could not determine the target of the Drag&Drop operation. Either the shell extension is not installed properly or you didn't drop the file into an Explorer window."

re-registering the fzshellext.dll/fzshellext_64.dll doesn't help.

Maybe the problem is caused by windows and/or already know, but I haven't found it in the bug database, so better to be sure.

After last update i have this error when i try to delete directory witch is not empty. I verify this with my pro client on various type of connection and various type of servers. I try to delete folders with other client and succes.

With the version 3.37.0 of FileZilla Pro on Mac (3.37.1 doesn't exist yet on the store) it became impossible to recursively delete full directories on normal FTP servers. If I try to delete a full directory, no matter what's inside (1 file or 100), I get this error: "451 Delete operation failed (Fsys error=145, server error=1015)".

The issue is software related since with the previous version I could do it and with any other FTP clients (even on my mobile phone) I can perform the operation without any problems on the same tested servers.

Hope there is a solution or that my info can help.

When uploading multiple folders from a Windows 7 Pro PC to a a Linux FTP Server some files are placed in the wrong folder and some files are not uploaded at all...

The attached log details a full upload of 577 files...

3.37.0 & 3.37.1 only : random files not transfered without failure notice, files created with a size of 0 without failure notice, increase of failed transfers

With Filezilla client 3.37.0 and 3.37.1, when I upload large amount of files in several subfolders through an SFTP connection (to an openssh sftp server on debian jessie), I've got several problems :

• Some files go missing without any notice in the failed transfers panel (they appear in the "successful transfers" panel but are not on the server)
• Some files end up with a size of 0 on the server without any notice in the failed transfers panel (appear in the "successful transfers" panel but size 0 on the server)
• I get some "target file already exists" for some new file to create
• I noticed also an increase of failed transfers that I have to reset and requeue (though it didn't occur in the transfer which log is attached)

I could reproduce this problem several times when I upload a large amount of files with subfolder structure, but missing files and 0 size files are never the same and their number varies. It's generally about 4 or 5 for 2000 files to transfer.

I switched back to 3.36.0 and all those problem are not occuring anymore, and they never occured within the last 10/15 years I've been using Filezilla.

During the transfer related to the attached log file, I had 8 files in failed transfer. I reset and requeued and they uploaded correctly then. Those files are not the one that are missing after transfer is completed.

Since I've upgraded macOS to mojave I can not move multiple items (single files or folders) from local drive to FTP server. Once I select more than 1 item FileZilla hangs or shuts down. I can transfer (by dragging) files only one by one. It takes forever. I have FileZilla client 3.37.1

There are quite a few issues when using the Dark UI on MacOS Mojave Dark UI.

The log has a black box background, and then the text is highlighted, looks terrible. But the biggest issue is you cannot read any of the dialogues that pop up.

I was using FileZilla 3.37.1 to download files from the server. It seemed to complete but then it gave the following messages about a bad disconnect with the server. The Response: 421 Timeout message is rather snarky.

On the site panel, I have a "sent" directory into I drag and drop files that have been transferred.

When I try with V 3.37.3, the files are not moved.

Prior to today's update, I was able to drag any file from the local site window to the appropriate editor on the taskbar and have it open. This function no longer works.

I have updated to 3.37.3 and after I have started a connection to a server, FileZilla chrashes. I have tried it with a fresh installation directory, but the same happens.

After updating Filezilla, we are observing a Bug on 'Last modified' column. Time is showing after 5 hours. For example, If we generate file on 5 pm then time showing on last modified time is 10 pm.

Since updating FileZilla yesterday,attempts to contact yield this sequence and error:

When the Watch locally edited files and prompt to upload modifications feature is turned on, it does not update its links when the remote server is changed. This may lead to overwriting a wrong remote file.

Consider the following scenario:

1. Connect to server A.
2. Download file X from server A to a local folder.
3. Edit the file X (right-click it in the local folder and select Edit).
4. Do some edits, save the file, close the editor and return to FileZilla.
5. You are prompted to upload modified file back to remote server A (so far so good).
6. Select ‘No’ to close the prompt.
7. Connect to server B.
8. Download file X from the server B to the same local folder as in step 2.
9. Open the new file X in your editor.
10. Do some edits, save the file, close the editor and return to FileZilla.
11. Now, you are prompted to upload modified file X back to remote server A!

That is wrong because the file was downloaded from server B and should be uploaded there. If you do not read the prompt carefully, you can easily overwrite the file at the wrong remote server. FileZilla should update its internal link when the monitored file is downloaded from a different location.

Previously I was able to select some files or directories from the Remote Site window and drag/drop them into the Queued Files. That doesn't work anymore (nothing happens). To achieve that functionality now, I need to right-click the files and choose "Add Files to Queue".

the first file you create after opening FileZilla has the correct timestamp -- any additional files you may create will have the same timestamp as the first file you created. this issue does not apply when directories are created. i first noticed this issue today when a new file i created showed as being several hours old -- at first i thought maybe the server time zone was wrong, or that the FileZilla time zone offset was wrong, but i eventually determined the timestamp was based upon the first created file.

presumably this is due to FileZilla creating a single file and then reusing it, but it seems like a simple way to improve this would be just to "touch" the file to update it's timestamp before uploading it.

I just run into a problem when downloading (via sftp) multiple files simultaneously. When starting to precess the queue, the filezilla client crash after a few seconds. When downloading a singe file, there is no problem. It's reproducible, I've tried this three times (rebooted the system between, etc.).

After downgrade to 3.37.4 (win64) all is fine again.

This error message began with version 3.37.4 and continues with new version 3.38.1. What does it mean and how do I fix it. Thanks...Peter

Hello, I am using Ubuntu 16.04. When I open filezilla I saw this alert everytime

The file '/home/username/.config/filezilla/filezilla.xml' could not be loaded. No document element found at offset 7495.

For this session the default settings will be used. Any changes to the settings will not be saved.

So for everytime I have to select editor, please help me resolve this issue . I have tried so many thing to resolve this but unable to solve it.

Filezilla ENETUNREACH error during FTP persists, even after adding Kaspersky exclusions to filezilla.exec. Please make previous Filezilla Client releases available even though they're not supported. Everything worked fine before I updated the Filezilla release.

Downloading a WP installation from a plesk server using no encryption (insecure) resulted in several of its core and plugin files downloaded with what I assume is some sort of binary/invalid data in them along plain text. Samples of the affected files include .CSS and .PHP files.

Attempting to copy the contents (copy-paste) results in truncated data up to the point of corruption.

There were no errors or warnings displayed on the log area during download.

Damage occurred during download and corrupted data was uploaded 'successfully' in that is seems to match the corrupted data.

A second attempt to download the same WP installation resulted in errors on the same files but damaged data occurred at different locations.

The sample files:

If I edit a local file selecting it from "Local site" pane, when I save the local file, Filezilla shows an alert box with the message "A file previously opened has been changed" and tries to upload it to the remote server.

I have tried to close Filezilla and open it again but the problem continues.

I have used phpDesigner 8.2 and Sublime Text 3.1.1 to edit the file and the result is the same.

• Open a local app such as Microsoft Paint
• Drag an image file (*.png or *.jpg) from FileZilla's local folder tree to this app
• The file can not be opened. An error message is displayed "C:\Windows\system32\XXX was not found

Replace XXX by some asian characters (I am not able to type them)

Similar issue with a different file:

• Open a local app such as Notepad++
• Drag an text file (*.txt) from FileZilla's local folder tree to this app
• The file can not be opened. Nothing happens.

Having issues with uploading files to remote servers.

When uploading, the directories are created, however, the individual files are failing to upload, even though FileZilla reports ALL files successfully uploaded.

I have confirmed this problem using different computers, as well as uploading to different servers using varying configurations. The program specs are below. Note, this issue is present with Windows servers as well as Linux servers.

I CAN go into the individual directories and upload the files without issue.

When I download the latest release of FileZilla Client for Mac, I get an error message displaying that it is not supported on this type of mac and the file might be corrupted. I'm on macOS Mojave. Any idea why? It was displaying the same error message before I upgrade to Mojave. I use FileZilla most of my time so it is kind of critical for me not to have access to it atm..

I purchased Filezilla Pro so I could test out connectivity to our Openstack Swift storage ( we host three clusters around the world for our end users). I immediately run into an issue. We use Openstack Swift with the keystone identity service, with v2.0 being our standard identity protocol.

If I typo the API KEY ( aka password) , I get 401. With all correct details, I get 200 OK as above, but it claims not to have a token, but it is returned. I've used Wireshark with the SSL decryption to confirm this.

1. Since the last but one update version of Filezilla I have been unable to connect to my FTP Host at 1&1; prior to this update all was working fine. I have checked my connection parameters and all are correct. I have also downloaded another FTP Client (CoreFTP LE) this morning and applied the same parameters and that is working fine connecting to my FTP Host without problems. The connection failure is shown below:

I urgently need Filezilla to upload changes to my websites. Anything you can suggest would be gratefully received. I have tried uninstalling Filezilla and reinstalling from scratch with a complete reset of parameters to no avail.

Since updating to the latest FileZilla, I am unable to use regular expressions with quick search. In the past, I would search for files using RegEx like so: 18121[7-9]|18122[0-3] This would filter all files with names except 181217 through 181223. Now when I try this, no files are shown. Thanks for any help.

Configuration files are not shown anymore. I created a file .text. It is not shown. I tried to create again. I get the message, file already exists.

When editing a file by double-clic (using Notepad++), after saving changes and switch to FileZilla, it displays a wrong path and uses that wrong path to upload the file.

e.g. Local path C:\wamp64\www\cloud\i\bibliotecas\181224\plantillas\tienda\.producto(product-detail).php

Correct remote path: /var/www/i/bibliotecas/181224/plantillas/tienda/.producto(product-detail).php

Incorrect remote path /var/www/i/bibliotecas/.producto(product-detail).php

After downloading and uploading back the same file - it's content got messed up. I attached file examples after downloading/uploading.

But it's a little bit tricky: 1) Everything works fine on my previous laptop 2) The bug appears on a completely fresh installed OS with latest FileZilla version 3) The bug doesn't appear when I'm using a different FTP client (WinSCP) on the fresh install.

How to reproduce:

1. Create a local file, for example 'index.html'
2. Create a remote file with the same name
3. Drag the file from the local directory to the remote directory (to copy the file)
4. FileZilla detects that there's already a file called 'index.html'. It will ask what you want. Choose 'Rename' and click OK.
5. A Rename File dialog is opened. The remote path should be [RemoteDir]/[Filename], however, the slash is missing.

I use the app switcher (CMD+Tab) to switch between applications on MacOS. However, I've noticed recently that FileZilla no longer shows up on the list of running applications on the app switcher.

This means I have to have it visible, so that I can click in the app, or I have to click on the app in the task bar so that I can find it again.

In the transfer queue, if I rearrange the columns during a transfer, the direction arrows don't follow the source -> destination.

In the attached screenshot, I'm downloading files but, after rearranging the columns to match where I have my Remote and Local views, the arrows in the "Direction" column make it look like I'm uploading.

Hello! I found a critical bug. I was found all my passwords in <USERDIR>/AppDataRoaming/FileZilla/recentservers.xml encrypted in Base64. I think, you should fix it, there is a big security risk!

Since the last version I can't edit files when I double clic on a file in the "server" columne. Before the last version I had no problem. It seems that the file is download but the associated program is don't launched, I have try to force the association for files with no success.

When using a custom editor for all files, the editor doesn't open the file selected when choosing edit/view on remote site.

I'm using the Apple Store 'FileZilla Pro' version.

Most local directories and files are not displaying in the window. However the Downloads directory works. Is this some sort of file permissions issue?

This is a fresh install on a new machine. I imported my Site Manager accounts and preferences from the previous machine (which ran the same version of FileZilla Client and Mac OS).

After update to 3.40.0, I'm unable to connect from a Windows machine to several servers via ftpes:// protocol (FTP over Explicit TLS) on port 21. The connections work on 3.39.0 and in other software (WinSCP).

The server to which I'm trying to connect uses Pure-FTPd 1.0.46 linked against GnuTLS 3.5.18 (stock configuration on Ubuntu 18.04) and username+password authentication. TLS certificate is valid.

Hi, Every time you update, I save my settings with your "file/export settings" option. Then I update your software. After that: I go to the "Edit/Settings" tab and then I click on the subheadings "Associations by File Type" and the latter is always empty. I always have to redo my associations for my files. Would it be possible for you to include this option when we save our parameters?

I sign on filezilla to download my acceptance/denial reports from changehealthcare. One day it would not connect. My software is with Imagine(CPU) in California. They originally set it up my filezilla with Change Healthcare. Now that I am having problems connecting they say they can't help me. My submitter number is TSOHS5A. My receiver ID is 133052274. I get connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity. Then could not connect to server. When I try to connect it says open "TSOHS5A@…"22 I apologize but I am a billing company and very ignorant to so much of this.

The problem occured after the update from 3.34.0. All later versions have problems with memory management, including most recent 3.40.0. The program keeps running in the background and can only be closed to start a new session after Ctrl-Alt-Del and ending the process manualy.

This behavior is always when an connection can not be made or when the transfer is interupted. After that is is not possible to open a new connection without closing the progrma and manualy ending the process in memory.

An other report mentions the same behavoir. That describes this while updating the version. That happens with me also.

Error Program opens and connects to a remote Linux server successfully using SFTP on custom SSH port. Files dragged to destination and upon successful transfer of the entire queue the program immediately closes. No error messages in log file even in full debug mode. The program then has to be reopened to do more transfers.

I updated the FileZilla client to 3.41.0 this morning and am experiencing an issue during the directory retrieval process on 1 particular server. I regularly connect to about 12 different FTP servers on a daily basis and this is the only one giving me any issue.

Because of the sensitivity of information, I have obfuscated the host name, IP, username, and password in this public post. Happy to PM it to a tech for analysis if needed.

I have tried removing the remote directory that I am specifying in the site manager to land into, have tried forcing passive and active mode rather than auto-detect, have tried forcing UTF-8 instead of auto-detect, have tried checking bypass proxy, and have tried ALL available server types rather than auto-detect.

So far nothing has worked.

I can confirm that if I connect to this site from the command prompt ftp in windows 10 I am able to successfully connect and retrieve a directory listing.

I have inquired from the host as to what OS, FTP server, and version they are running to try to get more information. I'll update this ticket as I get more info.

I am certainly not alone as another user entered the IRC channel a little while ago with the identical issue, but he left before I was able to ask any questions.
