Several times with all version of FZ I have encountered messages saying the source file already exists in an otherwise empty directory I am populating.

Searching the source for duplicates does not produce any. This most usually happens with very large uploads (3000 or more files) The timestamp on the source file is always older than the destination one. My solution has been to set "overwrite if source is newer which leaves the original transfer alone but the problem for me is it often takes hours to do this and sometimes it is next day before I find the message. FZ version 1.10.11 also shows occasional failed transfers :Could not start transfer.

I want to transfers files up to my server that are actually newer than the version that is on the server. So I set the Preserve timestamp of transferred files and adjusted the server timezone offset to 3 hours, and enabled the directory comparison feature to use the compare modification time option.

To test this I created a new file on my computer in the root of the local directory that is synced with the server's site root directory and then refreshed the local window to show the new file.

The new file did not show with the yellow highlight.

I uploaded the new file and after it was copied to the server the version on the server had the same time as the local file plus three hours, but the file on the server was green highlighted indicating that it was newer than the version on my computer, which was just updated and except for the timezone difference was actually the same time.

I thought that the server timezone offset was supposed to take care of this kind of issue.

So two things: 1) Before the local file existed on the server, why wasn't it yellow highlighted in the local window?

2) After the local file was created/copied onto the server, why was it green highlighted in the server windows?

P.S. Some programs allow you to highlight and copy the version and other information contained in the About pop-up window, which helps when filling out trouble reports. You have a 'send to clipboard' function which is nice, but being able to copy the individual fields is also very helpful.

I store my access information in the Quick Connect tab for each website I have. The problem is File Zilla keeps deleting everything in my Quick Connect tab. I have to go back and re-enter Host, Username and Password each time. Please fix.

Each morning I get a notice to upgrade to ver 3.18.0 and I do and it works fine. Next morning when I open FileZilla to use I get the same notice to upgrade to 3.18.0

Delete all ver of fillezilla and installed ver 3.18 and got same result of saying new ver 3.18 available. The fillezilla.exe file is ver 3.17.0.1 in the 3.18 download install package...please advise

If the user name for a session includes an @ symbol, e.g. matt@foobar, the FTP session tab is labeled as matt%40foobar@…. The same thing happens in the list for the pulldown to the right of the Quickconnect button. I don't remember this percent-encoding, i.e. %40 = @ being used until what must have been a fairly recent version. I'd prefer to see matt@foobar@… even if that means showing two @ symbols. I'm attaching a partial screenshot of an FTP session tab where domain name is partly blacked out.

It's almost impossible to use Filezilla with a Wacom tablet and pen, since clicking anything in the file structure almost always is misinterpreted as a click-drag (since you tend to move the pen slightly while clicking.)

This results in the "Source and target are identical" error message, forcing tablet users to solely use the keyboard for navigation.

On three occasions now I have gotten into a supposed drag state in the server tab with no intention and no cue (that I noticed) that I was in that state. The first time a whole document root and thus its site "disappeared" for a while. After finding it, I assumed I must indeed have dragged it into the adjacent folder in haste with a sloppy-slidy click or double-click, because I was rushing half an hour before a big demo.

But now I see it is possible somehow to unknowingly initiate a drag state (by sloppy click?), then scroll around for a while (many seconds) with no mouse button held, then click on a folder and Filezilla "drops" or attempts to drop the folder it thought you were dragging. At least in the server tab. I'm reluctant to experiment too much with trying to duplicate this.

I haven't been experiencing this in any other application.

It's dangerous enough that I looked all around for an option to disable dragging of files or folders in Filezilla but apparently it can't be disabled.

I really like FZ but now I'm very nervous I'll damage a site again without noticing. This third time, the only reason it didn't happen was because the folder I clicked was a subfolder of -- again -- the document root. A less obvious moved folder could go unnoticed.

Hi, when I uploading video files sometimes I get this error when speed is showing like: ? B/s. After this file is uploading not correct or stop uploading at all.

Example: I tried to upload 3 files on server, then I get this error and now on server I have 12 pieces of this files. It happened not only on this server, so it's probably not server problem, but I'm uploading only videos and I don't know if with other file types this error exist. Also very important thing, after this error, when files uploaded, my computer is start work crazy, every program is crashing and I can't open anything, but after restart everything is ok like nothing happened.

Since Release 3.18.0 (actual release) in german there is a "no such file or Directory" answer if i try to get files with a german character (äöü) in the path or the name. If i rename the path without These characters, everything works fine.

When adding a dirtree to the download queue, filezilla does not honor the alpha order of the file names when I believe that it should or at least offer an option to do so.

One can reproduce this very easily: On the server from which to download, do:

Now connect to the server with filezilla and drag the "test" folder into the download queue and begin downloading. The order is not: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

After changing root drive into B:\ by commnad CWD, I faced Critical file transfer error when download a file.

Reproduction step

1. enter custom command "CWD B:\" (default A:\)
2. refresh for list B:\ drive
3. download one of files in B:\ drive root

I've seen similarly-titled threads, but none describe what I am experiencing.

It basically just transfers a bit, then freezes in the middle of the transfer, and continues eventually.

I am transferring a .mp4 file to a flash drive that is plugged into my Netgear router via Readyshare FTP.

So why is this happening? When I look at task manager, it says FileZilla is using 0% of my disk speed when it freezes, but changes when it continues.

Is this a hard drive or ram problem?

In previous versions you could select multiple files and copy ALL the URL information to the clipboard using <Copy URL(s) to Clipboard> by right mouse clicking.

For some reason the latest version for both Windows and OSX will only copy one URL.

Please fix this bug as this is a very useful function to be able to copy more than one URL at at time.

I updated to 3.18.0 this morning, because of the auto-update feature. The first thing I did was upload 4 files to my company FTP. 1- I highlighted the new files 2- right-click on them, I think the last one. 3- select Copy URL(s) to clipboard 4- I then went to my email and right-click to paste the URLs. 5- Only 1 of the 4 URLs pasted into my email.

Repeating the process with Ctrl-V instead of right click in email with the same result. Pasting into other applications like Notepad++ had the same result.

I have done this hundreds, if not thousands of times in the past.

When you select several files in the Remote Site window and click on the option "Copy URL(s) to clipboard", only one of the URLs is copied.

When i select multiple files to copy the URL from, only the first one is copied to the clipboard.

On Windows 10 (screen 1920x1080) the transmission progress bar is hidden by FileZilla status bar (files waiting, transfers failed, transfers successful)

The summary status on number of selected files / bytes is wrong (too many files) if multiple files are selected using CTRL, SHIFT+CTRL keys. once wrong, the status stays wrong until a single files is selected. Also the sum of file sizes is wrong. It looks like a file is calculated in two times if it was selected using CTRL+left mbutton if CTRL+SHIFT+left mbutton is pressed to extend the selection. The wrong behaviour exists both for local and remote file selections.

Example / how to reproduce:

• Open a folder with 8 files of 1024 bytes each (just as an example).
• Select the 1st file (left mouse button). The summary shows "1 file selected. Total size: 1.024 Bytes" [correct]
• Select the 3rd file (CTRL + left m.button). The summary shows "2 file selected. Total size: 2.048 Bytes" [correct]
• Extend the selection to include files 4+5, by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+l.m.button. There are 4 files selected. Summary shows "5 files selected. Total size: 5.120 Bytes" [WRONG !]

Additional info: The problem always starts when you use CTRL+SHIFT+MOUSE. e.g. select single file 1, CTRL+SHIFT+click file 5 shows "6 files selected", although only 5 are selected. if I continue to CTRL+SHIFT+LMB click alternating on file 1 and file 5 there are still only 5 files selected, but status grows by +5 files (and their size) everytime I do this.

1 On OS X only, connect to FTP, go to a folder with files on the server.

2 Press Cmd-A to select all files on ftp server > count shows total number and total size.

3 Click 1 file > makes 1 file showing as selected, but selection count is not updated, still shows total count, incorrect.

4 Continuing now with a multiple selection (using Cmd key) makes it even more messy, the count is increasing or decreasing depending on whether you click above or below a selected file.

I got 2 files on my sftp server I can't download : indexeng.html & indexesp.html.

there's a red message saying : Erreur :/indexen.html: open for read: no such file or directory Erreur :Échec du transfert du fichier

Both files can be upped but not downloaded back.

Is an "e" as 6th type just after "index" chain could be a problem ? Note that I got other files named indexit.html, indexheb.html etc... showing no problem.

Is there a solution someone may give me ?

If i go to Debug menu and select TLS Chipers and type something i might get:

gnutls_priority_init failed with code -50

I suggest making it translateable in POT/PO files.

Or rewrite it some how to get a better error message that people can understand better.

At least on Unix file systems (I didn't try Windows) FileZilla has problems, when the first character of a directory name is a blank. You can rename "/xy/testdir" to "/xy/ testdir" with FileZila and "/xy/ testdir" is shown correctly. But after refreshing, it is shown as:"/xy/testdir" and can not be accessed with FileZilla any more or in any way. You get: Error: Directory /testdir: no such file or directory Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

This is correct, but does not help :)

It is not an issue of the Unix filesystem, because with other FTP-clients (e.g. WS_FTP Professional) everything works fine.

You may ask, why the hell is someone using one or more leading blanks in folder names. OK, I have to do it, but can't do it with FileZilla, so I had to change to another FTP client. Please fix this, Thanks!

Three years ago it is claimed this was a "rejected ticket." And yet the exact same problem still exists.

"To solve this issue, simply upgrade to a modern server supporting the MLSD command o refrain from using leading spaces."

This is not true. Even servers completely up to date still have the problem with leading spaces and files that cannot be transferred. The main question is how come I can log into the same server with ANY OTHER FTP PROGRAM and the file will transfer perfectly. But using FileZilla and the files are displayed incorrectly and the transfer FAILS. I don't think this bug should just be rejected. IT IS A BUG THAT SHOULD BE FIXED!

I'm using version 3.6.0.1 and I don't see how someone can say this isn't really a bug when ALL other programs handle these files perfectly. Why can't FileZilla???

Please someone fix this! It is very annoying finding 50 files with leading spaces and then having to load up another ftp program and transfer each file manually... Thank you to whoever fixed this!!!!!

Leading spaces are erroneously stripped from directory listing.

The attached log demonstrates the issue.

1. Connect to SFTP service
2. Create file " test"
3. Delete file " test"
4. Create file " test"
5. Refresh directory listing
6. File " test" isn't shown, but a file non-existent "test" is shown. This is the bug.
7. Delete file "test". As expected this file isn't found.

I can reproduce issue on Windows, Linux and OS X. I don't have same issue with openssh client nor WinSCP.

From the site manager, I sometimes have to update the ftp password and it works fine until I'm not quiting Filezilla. When I restart Fillezilla, the new ftp password is lost. To get around the problem, I have to duplicate the site with the new password. I did not have this problem with previous versions. Could you help please? Thanks a lot for supprt Rémi ;))

When first opening FZ client, or after disconnecting from a server, when opening a site with a bookmark, the root directory ("\") shows in the remote site window instead of the correct directory. If you use same bookmark again, it goes to the correct directory ("\exampledirectory"). Subsequent bookmark clicks to different directories on the site then work fine. If you close re-open FZ, or disconnect from site, it will first open the root directory again. This is for all directories. Only started on upgrade to 3.19.0. It worked fine till 3.18.0. No other changes.

The downloaded package from the The icon New Version available! button does not work!

LOCATION Updating wizard is accessible via "Main menubar/Help/Check for Updates..."

ISSUE Possible redundancy in user interface. The FileZilla update wizard has a set of Back/Next buttons in the bottom of the wizard dialog box. As far as I can tell, "Back" button is never active. i.e. it is "grayed out" in all the steps of updating process.

SOLUTION SUGGESTION If "back" button really is not accessible at any moment during the updating process, perhaps it should be removed. This would imply another question: Is "wizard" approach to updating is the best one.

NOTE This papercut is present both on WinXP and OSX FileZilla Client versions.

Using v3.19.0. When copying a folder from my server to my PC Directory Comparison turns off. It happens even if I copy a folder plus files. It does not happen when copying just files from the server or when copying folders and/or files to the server.

FileZilla just downloaded update 3.19.0-rc1 (2016-06-20). This update has not yet been installed. It's just sitting there in my Downloads folder. However, ever since the download of the update, when I try to open the Site Manager, it gives me this very scary warning:

Detected newer version of FileZilla

The file 'C:\...\FileZilla\sitemanager.xml' has been created by a more recent version of FileZilla. Loading files created by newer versions can result in loss of data. Do you want to continue?

First of all, we cannot copy-paste the error message, which sucks. Second of all, the error message is obviously wrong. The newer version is only downloaded, not installed yet, so how on earth can we ever have used it to create a new sitemanager.xml?? Third, *why* would data loss ever ensue from *loading* a file?? Data loss normally happens when we save a file...

This error message is very scary, because it basically tells you: Either press No and be unable to use FileZilla, or press Yes and ignore this warning at your own peril...

Took me some time to gather the courage to just press Yes...

Now today it happened again and I'm pretty sure now that this dialog is actually just testing the presence of something silly (such as a folder existing, or reg key or whatever) and is not actually looking at which version is installed. Once I install the downloaded update, the error disappears..

Maybe save the version of FileZilla in the sitemanager.xml? And maybe just make reading/writing sitemanager.xml more robust? It's XML. There is no real reason it should ever go corrupt just because some flag was not saved or was saved but not recognized...

I'd say prio is high because this happens every time you guys push an update and it's giving a very scary warning message that talks of corrupted data...

Despite having updated it to 3.9.10.

No problem accessing it to view and download from !

The OS X FileZilla window name shows the FTP account description and the username as a window title. It seems that you're using URL-encoding, at least partially. E.g., a username containing the + character will instead display %2.

Observed on my machine, reproducable 100% of the time:

Reproduction:

• Open FileZilla on OSX
• Connect to a host
• Open de Message log tab
• Right-click on the log, and click 'Show detailed log'.

Observed:

• No detailed log appears.
• After maybe one or two seconds, FileZilla becomes unresponsive (beach ball appears) and it doesn't seem to ever recover from that, no matter how long I wait.
• Only killing the application makes it go away.

After killing FileZilla, OSX gives me a crash report which I'll attach.

After upgrading from FileZilla Client version 3.19.0 to 3.20.0, a secured connection to a ftp server is no more possible. Version 3.20.0 added a new feature called "Stricter certificate chain validation to supplement the Tofu model". Maybe there is an bug or a side effect? Version 3.19.0 works pretty well.

When downloading a file from server to local directory and the filename already exists, selecting the 'Rename' option displays a pop-up and allows a new file name to be entered.

However when submitting that new file name input by hitting 'Enter' or clicking on 'OK' to download using the new file name, no download occurs and the 'Target file already exists' window pops up again.

Essentially this function which has worked for years is now experiencing a bug issue in that it does not register the new file name and therefore does not download a renamed file.

Conversely though, when uploading a local file to the server, the Rename tool works as expected.

After upgrading to FileZilla Client 3.20.0 when downloading a file name can not rewrite

The program asks for but does not recognize it when I allow the use of a site with an old certificate. The program previously worked properly without asking for old certificate approval at all.

problem: If I upload index.html or any other file onto my homepage then the file will not be accessible during the upload. When my internet connection tends to become slow that is a real problem because my whole site (www.elstel.org) will be down during the upload.

solution: upload the file under different name i.e. index.html.new and then, after the upload has succeeded, rename that file into index.html

rationale: Last time my internet connection was stalled and the connection to my server (web4.dotplex.de) got lost during the upload. Even worse I did not succeed to reconnect for hours because the connection was somehow delayed (100-300ms ping RTT). The result was that my site had been down for hours. very annoying and quite harmful!

conclusion: As long as this bug does not become resolved quikly the only way would be to strongly disrecommend the usage of filezilla at least for critical uploads.

Upgraded from 3.7.1 to 3.7.2. Installed. Main and welcome screen appeared. Clicked on "Quickconnect" drop down arrow and selected (already existing) account and Filezilla crashes.

An attempt to restart Filezilla displays the message "Could not find the resource files for FileZilla, closing FileZilla. / You can set the data directory of FileZilla using the '--datadir <custompath>' commandline option or by setting the FZ_DATADIR environment variable."

Downgraded to 3.7.1 which works for me without problem.

This feature worked fine for months or years. All of a sudden it stopped working. Our Linux server has not been updated recently but I do get prompted to update FileZilla from time to time. I just updated to the latest version online. Here's the OS version line in case it helps:

Attempting to set an Attributes condition does not work at all.

Setting the conditions by manually editing filters.xml works, and so long as you don't edit that filter, you can edit other filters and retain the settings. You just have to experiment for a while to get the correct numeric properties :)

When scrolling through sites on the site manager, if you select a site that uses keys to authenticate, and those key files are missing, a pop up appears saying:

title: "Could not load key file"
body: "The file '[path to key]' could not be loaded or does not contain a private key.

However, when you attempt to select another site from the list, the pop up still appears, and does not allow you to use the site manager without closing and reopening the window.

While the bug could be fixed by simply stopping the pop-up from appearing again after you select another site, I would like to propose that the key not found be moved into the site manager itself, instead of a popup, perhaps as a colored warning below the key file selector. This would have the benefit of not stopping a user from scrolling down through the list and getting pop-ups for sites he is not interested in, only getting the alert within the window when he stops on a site.

note: this also happens on the linux versions of filezilla.

Encountered on 3.20.1, tried nightly snapshot from 2016-08-23 and encountered it there as well.

I have a Debian jessie 8.5 system running openssh-server 6.7p1-5+deb8u3. I attempt to access it via ​sftp://IP as my user/pass, and it logs in successfully, says "Listing directory /home/FOO", and then reports timeout after 20 seconds, repeat forever.

Experimentation has revealed that removing the file named "download?dl=packages%2Fdebian%2Fnautilus-dropbox_0.7.1_amd64.deb" in my homedir causes FileZilla to behave as expected. (Determined by comparing the "raw directory output" from FileZilla with ls -f and seeing which file came next.

Other SSH and SFTP clients, like PuTTY, sftp under Cygwin, and WinSCP, on the same machine, function perfectly fine while filezilla is not behaving.

I do not have any saved config settings for this host.

I have an Apple iMac computer and a Windows Laptop connected through my home router. The Apple iMac contains a Document folder, that I was used to reach from my Windows laptop with FileZilla under a Safe FTP session (sftp is still available on Mac, port 22). The very last version of this software (Filezilla) was installed on both computers.

Since I installed the last release (3.20.1) it became no more possible to view the Document folder content through this software; and it worked neither on my Laptop, nor on my iMAc. I just discovered that it came from a specific folder, named "Notre%20rue%20sous%20la%20neige" (with percent characters), available in the Document folder. Hiding this file allowed me to view the content of the folder with FileZilla.

Application is set to "Never" check for updates as I don't want automatic update checking, I want manual. Version has not yet mattered in this issue. Please advise.

Each time I update FileZilla, it gets unpinned from the Windows 10 start menu, and I have to pin it again.

I update using the regular procedure: when I get the notification, I click on the "update now" button and follow the wizard.

When performing a 'Server... reconnect' after an established connection has been disconnected, the local file pane is now reset to the initial default value if configured in Site Manager. Previous versions (<3.19.0) left both local and remote panes set to where they had been navigated to before the disconnect.

The remote pane remains unchanged regardless, and the local pane does not change if the initial value is blank in the Site Manager configuration.

The current (3.19.0) situation is inconsistent, and the previous behaviour seems preferable when working on a server with aggressive timeout settings.

We have several computers that use FileZilla to transmit files via FTP to different sites. After the Windows 10 version update, we cannot connect to this one site. The computers that have not had the Version 1607 update applied, can still transmit to the site. Is it something at the other end or what.

Problem arose after updating to latest version of fz. No problems with previous versions.

I am using FileZilla_3.21.0_win64. Starting 24 hours ago, when I navigate to my local directory (a sub-folder on my Desktop), the files being shown are not the ones that actually exist. The files being shown are actually from a different sub-folder on my Desktop. Performing a refresh does not fix the problem. I've uninistalled and reinstalled FileZilla, restarted my PC (Windows 10 on an HP Envy laptop), renamed the local folder, copied and pasted the files to a brand new sub-folder on my desktop with a different name). I also installed a different FTP program (WinSCP) and it recognizes the correct files with no issue.

What I'm doing is using Articulate Storyline 2 to create and publish files for an e-Learning module. I then use FileZilla to FTP those files to a directory on my website for hosting the e-Learning module.

I've been using FileZilla since May and have had no issues until the past 24 hours.

I used FZ before with no problem. Since I changed computer and downloaded the latest FZ version I can no longer connect. I tried to connect to both of my sites with no success. I had changed the passwords to both the administration sites but my old FZ connected with the old (default) passwords. Now I tried to connect using both, old and new passwords but to no avail. I get different response for each site connection attempt (see the screenshots). I also tried to find answers in the internet to those problems but didn't manage to resolve the connection problem. Previously, Success message are shown in green and failure messages are shown in red, now all output log are shown in black. This only occurs in new version 3.21.0 and there's no way to change this in settings.

When dragging a file from the remote pane to the desktop, the position of the icon of the file being copied should be set according to the location of the mouse cursor at the point that the mouse button was released.

Instead, the icon is simply placed into the next available position automatically by Explorer.

Note that this does not happen when dragging a file from the local pane to the desktop: this does place the icon exactly where it was dropped. Only the remote pane is affected.

As an example, imagine you have two displays, with display 1 as the primary, and FileZilla on this display. Should you drag one local file and one remote file to display 2, the local file will be deposited exactly where you dropped it, but the remote file will be placed automatically by Explorer and will be behind the FileZilla window, somewhere amongst your other icons.

This did affect XP (some old version of FileZilla), and it's still present in the latest FileZilla 64-bit in Windows 10 (3.21.0).

Why is the server path not showing the home/myservername/public_html/mywebsite like it used to and now only shows the public_html/mywebsite in remote file path

For the second site (uniek-vakanties.eu) the login credentials are correct, I checked them myself (screenshot). But when I enter those credentials to the FZ, I still get the Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity Error: Could not connect to server message (second screenshot)

I resolved the second site's login problem s well. I tried to login myself and worked fine (screenshot). But when entering the same login credentials into FZ I got the same response (screenshot). Therefore the problem is not in the login credentials but elsewhere.

The file 'C:\Users\jmilton\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\FileZilla.xml' could not be loaded. No document element found at offset 8987

For this session the default settings will be used. Any changes to the settings will not be saved.

This error first appeared when I upgrade to the previous version and still appears with the latest version as well.

On my Server i disabled the Password Username login, so only a login with an private key works.

Today when I was renameing a couple of folders I´ve ended up with spaces before the folder names. In the Filezilla window I couldn´t access nor change the folder names as you will see in the screenshots.

And thru the terminal I was able to see the problem with the spaces.

Why list the folders without spaces?

There is currently a discrepancy in behaviour between using FTP and SFTP with servers using a Round Robin DNS configuration where a single domain lists multiple IP addresses in its type A or AAAA records.

With FTP, the Filezilla client will attempt to connect each listed IP address until finding a working one for the host, whereas with SFTP, Filezilla will only randomly try a single one and then fail immediately if that one fails.

The vanilla BSD sftp client on the command line will correctly try each IP address until finding a working one. This would be a desireable behaviour for the Filezilla client as well.

See screenshots below displaying different behaviours for FTP and SFTP on a host with round robin DNS configured. FTP tries all 3 hosts, while SFTP only tries to connect to one.

I can sftp to my server using filezilla which is running SLES 11 SP2.

I have a VM running SLES 12 and it cannot sftp to it. I verified both sshd_config and they are identical and sftp is enabled.

I can use SFTP option in winscp and it works fine with SLES 12 VM guest but FileZilla sftp timed out as shown below. I guess that many people have this problem reported on web but no answer.

Every machine is behind firewall and when WinSCP using SFTP works but not FileZilla.

When I tried to upload > 200k files with a size of circa 750 GB to a SFTP server, the client application allocated almost 10 GB memory which leaded on a system with 15.5 GB RAM and a 16 GB swap partition to an effective unusable system state. I was unable to switch to another TTY and I was not able to kill to application or execute another action as moving the mouse cursor. I used the application with KDE Plasma 5.7.4.

I suggest to confine the usage of resources to avoid such situations.

I've created site specific bookmarks and I can save the Directory Comparison flag for each bookmark just fine, I select it and it saves, this however, has no effect. When I click on the bookmark to load it (like expanding Bookmarks menu and clicking on the bookmark once connected to the site) the dir comparison flag has no effect as the setting is not checked and I have to manually check it again. I haven't tested global bookmarks sorry. I0m us

I was installing the latest update from my previous version and when it was finishing, it threw a .Net error message. Unfortunately I did think to grab what the previous version of FileZilla I was using.

I just updated to Version 3.22 and tried to connect to one of my servers via sftp. but the connection couldn't be established. I can't connect to any of my servers.

After downgrade to 3.21 everything worked fine. So it's definitely a bug in new version 3.22.

I have Linux servers at work, and periodically I need to sftp files off or on. I updated my version from 3.21 to 3.22, and attempted to connect, but it kept failing. I reverted back to v 3.21 and I was able to connect.

My working machine is a MacBook Air, running Mac OS X 10.11.6.

The Linux version is RHEL 5. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Just updated to 3.22.0 and fz client opens as usual but when I try to connect I get this message: "fzsftp quit unexpectedly." and connection fails.

It worked perfectly before.

One of my users upgraded FileZilla on her Windows PC to version 3.22.0.

When she tries to connect to an AIX server she gets the following message:

On my Windows PC, I'm running FileZilla 3.7.1.1 and have no problems connecting to the AIX server.

What changed between FileZilla 3.7.1.1 and 3.22.0. ?

Connecting to slightly older servers (SLES11 SP3) fails without proper error message (Error: Server unexpectedly closed network connection).

The server log reveals this: sshd[29972]: fatal: matching cipher is not supported: aes256-gcm@… [preauth]

debug log doesn't reveal if FileZilla is only offering a single cipher, but anyways - none of them is supported by OpenSSH 6.2 as shipped with SLES11SP3.

At the moment FileZilla seems not to be able to access any server but the most recent via sftp.

GTK3 has a new "overlay scrolling" feature which makes it so that scrollbars aren't visible until you put the mouse over the pane. This feature can be turned off by setting the environmental variable GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0. I have turned the overlay scrolling off in this way.

in FileZilla, if GTK_OVERLAY_SCROLLING=0 and the pane has a scrollbar, the "Rename" function usually (if you try more than once, you will likely see the problem) does not produce the inline input box GUI (instead the file just remains highlighted). in reality, you can still rename the file by using the backspace button and typing characters, but you do so blindly as you can't see any of this is working (e.g. you can't see the characters you type) until you press enter and the filename is in fact changed.

since Fedora switched to building FileZilla against GTK3, the scroll buttons require repeated clicks to initiate a scroll of a single tick. 4-7 clicks required per tick in my testing, depending apparently on how much scrolling is available.

Fedora now builds FileZilla against gtk3. now a horizontal scrollbar's width seems to fluctuate while scrolling horizontally, which can result in anomalies such as the scrollbar jumping back and forth, or columns temporarily being clipped at one side or the other.

I am unable to upload files onto our server due to 552 Disk full. We definitely have space on our Shoutcast server so I wonder if this is a Filezilla issue.

This happened before in August but the issue seemed to fix itself later the same day.

The current sorting algorithm is simply not logical and causes issues, see attached picture for more details.

It should sort numbers from lowest to highest, not like this: 1, 10, 100, 101, 102, etc

I've been using FileZilla for years now but lately I had to move to another FTP Client due to some issues I'm having.

FileZilla version: 3.3.5.1. Processor: AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor 2.10 GHz RAM: 2GB System:Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits.

When I upload individual or a group (queue) of files to my Server (auto, ascii or bin) no error message is shown but is very common they fail when I test the result of the uploading.

They shouldn't fail beacause those files belong to applications I've got them running in my local environment AND in another remote Server of my own. Investigating the reasons of these failures I found out that most of the uploaded files have different size in my Server than the size they've got in my local installation. Using another FTP Client (Core FTP LE) the same files were uploaded properly, no different in their sizes and no failure when testing my Server's installation.

Attached you will find the print screen of both upload operations (FileZilla's and CoreFTP's). This shows up only one case; it happens with almost all applications I've got (more than 100).

I've got another ticket opened 15 days ago (Ticket #6505) where I report another issue with FileZilla and I believe both issues may have some connection.

Both issues (this one and the one reported in ticket 6505) started to show up after I installed Windows 7 in my PC.

I love FileZilla and after so many years using it I'm more than used to its features but, unfortunately, now I had to move to another FTP Client because I need to continue working and those misbehaviours add delays to my work.... but I'd love to go back to FileZilla.

I will appreciate any help.

win7 box with filezilla version 3.5.0

The tool will transfer all the files with out any error or warnings but the destinations files are all zero length. it creates directories OK

i can transfer the files using the command window via command line ftp and the files to arrive and maintain the original file size.

the hosting service has no trouble using filezilla from a different box transfering data to the same account.

Error loading xml file c:\users\Indomain\Appdata\Roaming\FileZilla\sitemanager.xml could not be loaded. No document element found at offset 5154. The site manager cannot be used unless the file gets repaired.

Usually I use filezilla to delete the large (+- 20 GB each file) daily backups on the server. So when I choose 20 files (eg.) and press DEL to delete them, it starts to delete, but after some time it shows the "Connection timeout when delete many huge files". Due to high disk IO on server the action is slow even on direct rm command on linux.

When, I transfer o edit a file, I have a fatal error, the mac have a reboot.

The auto-update function on OS X downloads the new version of FileZilla to the user's documents folder, which is not expected behavior. Generally, the user's Downloads folder would be a more appropriate destination, and the first place most people would look.

There seems to be a time display issue on folder's "Last Modification Time". Time is off by 2 hours(+2 hours) on a parent directory. When i browse a subdirectory, and come back to the parent directory and right-click 'Refresh', "Last Modification Time" is correct again. See screenshots. Thanks,

And then the user think that it downloads all the files in the directory but it does not.
