Open MENU Edit > Settings > Interface > File lists. Define double-click action as "View/Edit". Double-click any html or php file in order to edit it.

This works fine as long as there is a connection to the server. But if FileZilla is not connected to a server the following error message is shown:

Editing failed
Cannot edit file, not connected to any server

I often want to edit a file before establishing the connection to the server. In my opinion it does not make sense that local editing of a file is only possible if a connection to the server exists.

The download of files from each size stops at 100%. newest filezilla version installed. i can reproduce it when i download several files. the filesize is random so there is no difference between 100MB or 1GB files. starting and stopping the downloads wont fix it. i need to stop the download, restart filezilla and restart the download. then it will run again. there is no difference if i run filezilla in admin mode or as invoker. nothing to see from the log. at the server side there is a FTP Publishing Service 6.0 running on windows 2k3 server. if you need some additional infos contact me at reli(a)relicted.com

Since I received the last version of FZ, I can't upload files on my URL without a message ("file already exist : enter a new name") I tried to change my settings concerning new files but it's staying with the same bug ?

I've used FileZilla for a long while and have never had issues on any machine. However, I just installed on a new Windows 7 machine. Once connected, the "Download" pop-up menu options is disabled for all files 7 folders.

I've searched the menu and setup options thoroughly and have searched the forum and online for answers and haven't found any. Please advise.

• Running app as administrator and not doesn't matter

That's a reality, you filezilla developers have to face it, soon or later.

When you change your attitude in this matter, we your fans, will glad to describe you the steps to reproduce the behaviour, again.

The program is useless for download large files until then is simply useless.

When downloading a .zip file of size 322MBytes, the download continues past 100% and the downloaded file grows to be larger than the source file. Even when the cancel button is clicked the transfer continues. I had to close the window to cancel the transfer. The downloaded zip file can be opened, but it is not possible to extract the files. Get message that archive is in an unknown format or corrupted.

I put in the queue 2 file and ans to start download from server. It passed the size of the file and contnued until i terminated the program. The time left pass the EOF didnot move, Percent stayed at 100% moved size kept increasing above the original. See enclosed jpg of the screen. Both files after program termination were damaged. Transfer type was on Auto.

When I tried dragging and dropping a folder from the FTP site unto my desktop pc, I received the following error. It wouldn't let me move anything from within FileZilla to my desktop, where it used to in the past before the last update. Can this be fixed?

Please note, I can drag and drop file to replace things onto FTP just fine, just not the other way around.

I am using FileZilla 3.30.0 in order to connect from my Windows 10 Home 64 bit PC to my office server (Windows 2003 server) through a VPN internet connection.

I am able to upload (from my PC to the server) files of any size, but cannot download files larger than a couple of Kbytes: in the example below, the transfer fails after 2,920 bytes, restarts the loading (where it stopped, I imagine), fails again after the subsequent 2,920 bytes), and so on, until in the end it aborts the connection before having managed to load the whole file.

I hadn't used this connection in order to download contents for quite a while, but am pretty sure it worked well with my previous home PC (which was running Windows 7). This is a new machine, to which I copied the FileZilla parameters.

Filezilla asks to overwrite one of the files! (that's strange, because the file does not exists!) If you say yes... it looks like filezilla downloaded both files, because they are both visible in the left panel and have the right filesize. But if you refresh the left panel, one of the files is suddenly not visible! (the file actually didn't exist in the first place!)

I get a virus alert from Norton when I try to download either the client or the server file.

I hope you can help me. Last week I bought the Pro version and my credit card was charged, but the download link did not reach me. So I don't have it and I'm only using the free version. I did it from the official Filezilla Pro page.

On my win xp, every time FZ ask me to download a new version, after few checks it tries to download the new file but nothing happens and the program freezes. The "cancel" button is not enabled and I have to kill the program.

I have a Windows 2003 FTP server that I connect to and download files from on a regular basis. Recently when I download compressed files (zip, 7z, etc) with FileZilla it downloads more than 100%. The process is as follows

• Connect to server
• Browse to folder
• Add 2 or more files to queue (I have 2 concurrent downloads enabled)
• Files download
• Download progress reaches 100%
• Download completes and then resumes and continues download until I force a cancel (I have seen it download 3x the original file size)

Here is a snippet from the FTP log:

If you notice the "restarting" line -- that byte count is the actual file size of the completed download.

Note: I have tried with with a client of Windows XP and Vista

Using 3.3.0-beta1, after using the program for a while to upload and download files and folders, when trying to delete a folder on the remote server, or download a folder, including the folder itself, from the remote server, FileZilla will just ignore the command.

Uploading local folders to remote server works fine. Renaming remote folders works fine. Dragging a remote folder into another remote folder is also fine. If I try to download the whole folder or delete the whole folder it will do nothing, not even attempt it, no errors.

I am using multiple tabs when this happens, I do not know if that has anything to do with it or not though. On initially starting the program, whether I have multiple tabs or not it works ok, then later on it will [seemingly randomly] stop working. Then the only way to download a folder is to create it on the local side manually, open it and download the files.

Note that if you select all files & folders in a folder and download, it will download the files and ignore the folders.

Hello, when I download a folder from the server it always happen that Filezille begin asking me if I want to override the files I am downloading as if they were already on my machine.

I make an example: I download the folder "Wordpress" from my website on my Desktop. Filezilla starts to download it on my Desktop. After a few download it begins asking me: "the file ... already exists, do you want to override it?"...

How can I fix it?

I'm using last FZ-client 3.3.2.

When i try to download a large file more the 400Mb (.tar, .gz, .tgz, tar.gz) from Linux RH server, i can download the file completely with the same file size (binary or autodet. mode), but when i try to open the file result corrupted !!

• there is no error during the transfer operation.
• both of the machines win/Linux have 100Mb-FD lan speed.

I set "downloads: resume file transfer" option at file exist action, but it dosent resume but skip all exist file.

Download set to auto resume, queue the file twice, then start download. it will download in 2 different thread, to the same location, same local file(auto rename disabled). the result file is corrupt. Using FIlezilla 3.3.0.1

Since the 3 last versions (3.3.0.1, 3.3.0 and 3.2.8.1), from time time, when I download from my server (Ubuntu Desktop 8.04) a list of files, the download stops without any error message and without reason. I just do a right click, then uncheck 'Traiter la file d'attente' and then recheck and the download restart until it stops again at a later time, on the same file or not. I was unable to focus a type of file, a file size or something.

I never have this problem with the 3.2.8 and previous versions.

I downloaded the update for filezilla on 2/9 (3.2.1 for win32.exe) I am running VISTA os. I can no longer view, edit or download .xls spreadsheets. I could be fore the upgrade. I tried to uninstall and reinstall and that did not help. The spreadsheets are not corrupt, I have validated that by using a different computer to download. Any suggestions?

I dragged a group of files, folders and an ISO from a remote site to a local folder and one of the zip files continued to download way past its origanl size. The origanal file was a 74 MB in size but it continued to download past that and I eventually stopped it at 122 MB. The progress bar reported as 100 % complete. It appears that the file download just restarts every time it reaches the end of the original file.

I restarted the same file and it did it again. This time i let it restart a second time (149 MB) before I stopped it.

I download the a zip datafile every night. The file size increases daily and the file name is DataBaseNameYYYYMMDD.zip.

For some time now the downloaded file ( using different FZ versions ) is exactly double the size of the file on the remote site. When opening the zip file, the files are NOT duplicated.

I am not using Windows server.

Every file downloaded from a ftp server (fileapp on iPad) whose size is > 1MB, is truncated to 1MB.

For example a file whose size on ipad is 1.467.023 byte when downloaded is truncated to 1.048.576 byte.

Downloading it with another client (command line on OSX, or explorer on Win7) works well.

The 2 hosts (ipad and ftp client) are on the same ip network (no routing) without any proxy.

Filezilla doesn't display any error message and the transfer is ended succesfully, even if it truncate the file.

When downloading large files (1-2 GB) which take quite some time (e.g. several hours at 80 kB/s), they remain in the queue although they have been downloaded completely. Also, the connection seem to be still open.

If I reopen Filezilla and press the "Q->" button, a short transfer will be initiated (about 1 kB) and the file is then successfully removed.

This bug is annoying because the computer would not shut down over night, and if there are many of those files, other queue entries would wait forever for their turn.

I've been happily using Filezilla for over a year now with no problems. Just an hour or so ago 4/27/09 I downloaded the latest update you sent. Now nothing shows up in the directory listing. It is connecting just fine, but no directory listing, even though the message says directory listing successful. I've changed nothing but downloading the new update. Any suggestions?

When I try to download a file from the remote site to the desktop either by dragging it from the remote pane to the local>desktop pane, or by using the download feature in the remote pane, it is converted into a chinese script that cannot be veiwed in IE8 or by notepad. Whenever I download a single file with a name like "jvm.stdout.2010-03-03-11:18" from my linux server to my Windows XP machine it looks like it's downloading it, but when it's finished, the file is 0 bytes. The file is still renamed properly "jvm.stdout.2010-03-03-11" to support windows naming requirements.

But if I select 2 files, e.g. "jvm.stdout.2010-03-03-11:18" and "localhost.2010-03-03.log", then both files are downloaded properly.

It's only when I select the single file with the colon in it does it not download properly.

But maybe it's not the colon at all. Maybe it's something to do with the file name itself. So please try with the file names I've given you.

Just download a zero byte file.

In my case, I put a zero byte file in the root of my site for Google indexing:

GOOGLE*.html

and when I tried to backup my site, the file was not created on my local disk, and the file was placed into the failed transfers.

First of all: I have read ​http://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Character_Set and you could reject this request simply based on the fact that UTF-8 isn't used. However, please read on.

The problem is that renaming works, but downloading fails. I would have understood if both failed. This inconsistent behavior seems strange and is a bug in my view.

The server is a CentOS 4.7 with OpenSSH 3.9p1. It's using iso-8859-1 as default charset. When FileZilla connects, it deactivates UTF-8 (because the output of the ls command contains illegal characters I guess - a test file named "æøå.txt"). When I try to download the file "æøå.txt", it fails:

Command: get "æøå.txt" "C:\Documents and Settings\Hans\Desktop\æøå.txt"
Error:	/home/hans/æøå.txt: open for read: no such file or directory

However, renaming works:

Command: mv "æøå.txt" "æøa.txt"

It's probably my lack of knowledge when it comes to the SFTP protocol, that makes this behavior weird to me.

I saw some older tickets about this issue, but never with a (working) solution.

When I checked my local hdd after downloading a big folder with images, I noticed that directories are all over the place. I can't figure out if the messing up is consequent.

I'm using active mode, but the wizard tells me everythings fine. I'm also using a filefilter to exclude thumbnails. When I add the dir to the queue, everything seems fine, trouble start when processing the queue (wrong folders are immediately created, while NOT listed in the queue before).

The file contains a backslash, which is producing this issue:

Hello, Since a couple of weeks, when I set a "speed limit" to my downloads, they start but about 5 minutes later, they "stop". Actually, the current transfer still appears, nothing apparently changes, but the speed freezes at its last value and the transfer stops in reality. I can stop the queue processing... I mean Filezilla is not "frozen".

I can close and restart Filezilla to get it working again, but with the same problem 5 minutes later. Everything is ok if no speed limit is enabled.

Version 3.0.9.2 Windows XP SP2

Connected to a buddies FTP server to download a couple of .rar files. One file was 85MB and the other was 76MB. Everything looked fine until the file reached the expected size. At that point, the time remaining stayed at 0 and the file continued to download. It kept downloading and around the point where it was approximately 150MB, I copied the file to another folder to attempt to open it. I opened it, and the contents looked fine. It continued to download until it was 156MB and then produced the following error: The data is invalid. Error: Critical error

Same exact thing with the second file (except that one went until 145MB).

I extracted the file one more time after the download completed and again, the contents seemed fine, just the file itself was about twice as big as it was supposed to be.

Hey .. when I download somehting from the server over normal FTP transfere ... files are corrupted ... this bug wasn't in the previous version ... my program settings are all default expet that I set the (send keep alive commands) ... thanks !

I'm attempting to download files from a remote site using FileZilla Client 3.2.6.1. Any files which are in the selected folder are correctly downloaded, but any folders FileZilla does a directory listing and doesn't add anything to the queue.

I think there is a clue in the remote site - it starts off when I connect with the path D:/home/\

If I go into that and enter the Default folder within home, it changes to D:/home//Default/\ I then have 2 entries in the remote folder list at the top level - each of the above entries. If I pop out D:/home/\ and try to select Default, it won't do anything and any folders that have popped out have ?s on them

If I now pop out D:/home//Default/\ and go into test.test, the remote path becomes D:/home//Default/test.test/\ and this is also added to the remote folder list.

If I continue this process further, I end up with something like D:/home//Default/test.test//htdocs/aspnet_client//system_web/2_0_50727/\ and a number of entries at the top level of the list.

The server that I am remoting to is Matrix FTP Server (from Fasthosts - provided with a dedicated server) running on Windows 2003 Server. I suspect that some of the problem may be coming from this, but I have tried it with an old copy of FileZilla 2.2.32 on my Windows XP Pro machine and that works fine - it recurses downloads perfectly and I get a path like D:/home/Default/test.test/htdocs/aspnet_client/system_web/2_0_50727/

If i drag a file direct from the FTP Server to the Desktop (not to the desktop in the local list).

FileZilla create a Folder (for example "fz3-12719247126390") and i get a error message "Konnte das Ziel der Drag&Drop-Operation nicht ermitteln. Entweder ist die Shell-Erweiterung nicht ordnungsgemäßt eingerichtet oder Sie haben die Dateien nicht in ein Explorer-Fenster gezogen".

In other folders such Documents i get the same message.

I have Windows 10 Build 1803 (build SO 17134.167).

When I drag a file from FileZilla directly into a folder on my computer, without using the FileZilla folder explorer, I get the error asking me to install the shell extension.

If instead I drag a file from the computer to FileZilla there are no problems.

Drag & Drop and double-click to edit Files is not longer working at 3.0.0-4beta!

At all older Releases it works pretty well.

Filezilla 3 seems to get unusable.

Trying to drag a File from FTP-Folder to download to the desktop or any other folder on the client-system causes an error: "can't find the target of drag'n'drop operation. Shell extension might not installed properly..." (translated from german system) Reinstalling fzshellext_64.dll has no effect.

Dragging files to ftp-upload works fine...

When start drag from my PC and the cursor fall over (not drop) the tree of remote server the software give the error "Drag & drop failed"

I have switched to Windows 10, now I can not drag & drop between the remote directory to local directory for folders and files.

There is no error and no warning, nothing appens.

The only way to download a folder is to right clic on it and download. I have tried with 3.12.0.2, 3.13.0-RC1 and the nightly 2015-08-08.

To recreate this issues use the following steps:

Drag a folder from the "local site" to the "remote site".

The bug is that there is data loss in that the directory tree is destroyed. A directory tree is data, and this is being lost.

I am unable to name ANY other application that destroys data like this. I am computer programmer and I blame Fillezilla for destroying few hundred dollars worth of work.

I can't drag and drop from the server to my folders outside FileZilla, only inside.

1. Drag and drop a file from "c:\test\file.txt" (from the Windows Explorer) to the right hand side of the filezilla window (the "Remote site") into a folder on the connected server.

2. filezilla will report an error indicating that it can not find the file "c:\testfile.txt" (mind the missing path seperator at the end of the dirname before the basename starts)

This also happens when you try to drag and drop the file from the left hand side of filezilla (the "Local site").

If I right click on the file in the "Local site" and choose "Transfer file" it works fine.

The log file does not reveal very much (I have set the log level to debug):

23:46:09: can't open file 'C:\testfile.txt' (error 2: das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden.)

(The latter is german and means that it can not find the file)

I am using Filezilla Client 3.3.4-rc1

Since upgrading to 3.3.0.1, the shell extension for drag and drop isn't functional anymore. Dragging files from remote side to desktop gets a "no smoking" symbol.

Reboot didn't help.

Uninstall and re-install (triple checking that shell extension was installed) + reboot didn't help.

No error messages, it just doesn't allow drag and drop.

With the latest version of FileZilla if I drag and drop a file in order to upload it from a folder in the Finder *or* from the file browser on the left side of FileZilla into the connected-to FTP site on the right side, I get a total crash. I actually don't even have to "drop" the file, just moving it over the connected-to FTP site on the right so that the window highlights crashes the program. This did not happen in the previous version.

I use the latest version of FZ, and with my previous version, i can make a drag and drop, but not with this latest version !!

• Open a local app such as Microsoft Paint
• Drag an image file (*.png or *.jpg) from FileZilla's local folder tree to this app
• The file can not be opened. An error message is displayed "C:\Windows\system32\XXX was not found

Replace XXX by some asian characters (I am not able to type them)

Similar issue with a different file:

• Open a local app such as Notepad++
• Drag an text file (*.txt) from FileZilla's local folder tree to this app
• The file can not be opened. Nothing happens.

1. Attempt to Drag and Drop file into folder in same directory

At that point the program crashes and exits. This happens on local as well as server files.

Can't drag file from FileZilla remote location into Multi Commander window, on the MC side I'm prompted with copy dialogue and on FZ with following message (After I click copy in MC):

I'm using dual monitor (extended desktop) under Windows 7 64 bits.

When I drag and dropped any file from a FTP server to my desktop an error message occurs. The file is not copied and a folder is created in desktop with a strange name like "fz3-13708757045970".

Specific issue:

Clicking on the icon of a file with left mouse button has no effect whereas it should initiate a drag.

Background:

I was prompted to update to FileZilla Client 3.6.0.2 about 9 days ago (strange because it was released 2012-11-29, perhaps I was ignoring the previous update requests, not sure). After the update, I can no longer drag / drop files between servers using left mouse button (as is normal).

Notes:

• I can left click on filename to rename.
• I can drag files from Mac Finder into either local or remote file lists and it works fine.
• I can right-click to upload / download, etc.
• Left mouse button works fine for all other applications and all dialogs, icons, etc inside FileZilla. Also works for double-click file transfer if configured for such.
• I have restarted and even reinstalled FileZilla Client 3.6.0.2 to confirm.
• I looked in Preferences and did not see anything obvious that could cause this behavior. Tried every conceivable option that could trigger changes to mouse behavior in file list.
• Using a standard 2-button logitech mouse with scroll wheel. Have tries with another generic mouse and exact same behavior.

Research:

• I tried to first check the FileZilla help forum for related threads. Did not find any.
• I did not find any open bugs for this.
• I attempted to register on the help forum to see if I was just missing something, but the forum does not accept @gmail.com addresses. [no comment]

When you drag and drop a file or folder(s) on the right side (Server window) from one directory to another, Windows shows a little plus sign next to the mouse arrow -> user expects that the file(s) will be copied. Instead, after releasing the mouse button, a mv command is carried out.

The same behaviour occurs when Shift or Ctrl-key is pressed additionally. Files are always moved, never copied.

The drag and drop feature no works in version 3.27.0.1 for Windows 7. That is, I am no longer able to drag and drop files or folders between machines (local site and remote site) in the connections tabs.

Please restore drag and drop capabilities. I've included the information from the about window below in case this is useful:

Drag and drop of two files to the trash (recycle bin) makes Filezilla crash: a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" window pops-up, see the image attached. Filezilla closes once the [OK] button is clicked. Is it possible that the previous Ctrl+X of the files (there is no Ctrl+X in Filezilla...) contributed?

How to reproduce: not sure, happened once. Then I tried to reproduce it and it worked only the third time.

Dragging files from remove FTP to local disk will result in unpredictable tranfers. When I drag one file from httpdocs it tranfered the complete httpdocs to local disk.

Once it even renamed a folder "downloads" to "nzbvortex-0.5.0.zip" which was the file I wanted to drag locally.

Very very badly broken now. I've remove the .filezilla from my home and the preferences from ~/Library/Preferences/de.FileZillaxxx and redownloaded the latest stable.

I am very sure I am not making an invalid drag operation.

OS X Leopard (Apple Mac Pro, intel), 10.5.3. Dragging any icon from the desktop over the Fz UI causes the application to crash immediately. May be related, but also occurs if you attempt to drag any item from left had file list in Fz to the right hand remote file list.

When I drag a file from the local site window to a Windows explorer window, the copy starts as expected. However, until the copy is finished, it is not possible to return to Filezilla because when I click to the Filezilla window bar, a cross (+) appears telling the drag will start on this part. This is also true on any part of the Filezilla interface.

After the last update of Windows 10, the drag-and-drop functionality (on the local desktop) will stop working. I have already uninstalled FileZilla and then reinstalled it again. That did not help. I also reinstalled the shell extension. That did not help either. What possibility do I have left ?. What may the mistake be?

If you try to drag&drop 4 or more files from your machine to the right pane, you get only uploaded correctly 3 of the 4 files (or n-1 of the n files uploaded).

If you try to download the files from the right pane to the left pane it works fine, the problem is only when you upload files.

In 3.3.4-rc1 drag-and-drop function fron Windows Explorer does not work. From explorer panel inside the Filezilla itself it does not work either. The only way to transfer a file is double click - only this works which is very inconvenient

Sometimes when I drag-drop a file to the FTP client to FTP it up, it tells me that there is an existing file there, which is fine, that's what it's supposed to do, so I overwrite it. But then it asks me sometimes once sometimes 2 times to overwrite it again, and this time the size and data are the same, so I'm overwriting the file I just overwrote with a second ago. So somehow it doensn't register that the upload was successful or something, and it asks me to overwrite 2 or 3 times, and then stops.

When transferring files the drag-drop page icon stays on the destination window. There is one icon for each time a file/group is moved to destination with drag and drop.

The icon stays until the program terminates.

Trying to drag a file from the local folder to the remote server folder always fails in version 3.3.4-rc1 of FileZilla Client.

To reproduce:

1. UI is configured to Blackboard layout, not reversed.
2. Login to an FTP server.
3. Navigate to source folder and destination folder.
4. Click and drag a file from the local file pane to the remote file pane and drop.

What happens: Client attempts to transfer file and gets an error similar to the following: can't open file 'Q:\Folder\subfolderfile.php' (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified.)

The path reported in this error is not correct, the actual file is located at: 'Q:\Folder\subfolder\file.php' It appears this method of uploading has a bug where the last \ in the folder path is missing.

Work around: Selecting the file in the local pane and pressing Enter transfers the file correctly.

When dragging a folder from the remote, to a folder inside FileZilla (default bottom left quarter-pane), the new folder just transfers and the window does not refresh or show the new folder.

Attempting to upload a file to an FTP site by dragging from the desktop results in the attached message. It seems the newest version of FileZilla (3.3.4-rc1) is failing to place a slash between the source directory name and the source filename.

This no longer works? How is that a feature?

When I drag an mp4 video file from windows explorer to the server side of filezilla, it appears to upload fine. However, when I play the file in the website (from the server), it will be corrupted in some parts, sections will skip, audio will cut out, or the image will be visually distorted.

I believe the problem is rooted as described above because:

• If I refresh the page it always glitches in the exact same way at the exact same time.
• Then, when I rename the file on my computer and upload it again the same way, then refresh the browser page with the new file linked, the glitch will be different.
• I discovered that browsing to the file location from within Filezilla (not Windows Explorer) and dragging from filezilla local window to server appears to transfer okay.

This problem happens around 80% of the mp4 files I upload, regardless of how I render them. The files also play fine before uploading.

As far as I can tell, the only way to arrange existing sites into folder is to drag them onto the folder names in the site manager. Each folder is sorted alphabetically and there's nothing that can be done about that.

Right, so here's where the problem comes in. If one folder has so many sites that all you can see if that folder's sites, it's impossible to move a site out of that folder. Imagine that in your site manager you have a folder "Personal" and in there there's another folder "No longer used" or similar. Now imagine that the 'No longer used' folder has exactly 26 sites, labelled A-Z, and you want to me Site 'M' out to its parent folder 'Personal' (maybe the site's coming back into use, that was my specific problem). Because the window's only big enough to see C-M or H-R or M-W (see the problem?) you can't actually see the parent folder and thus ypou can't move M out.

Correct me if I'm wrong and there's a simple way to do this that I can't see, but as far as I can tell this is impossible.

I'm aware that the site manager window is resizeable, and luckily this fixed my specific problem, but this could still happen at maximum (screen resolution-restricted) size.

Basically, the fix I see is to make it so that the list view scrolls when you drag near the top or bottom, but I understand that this may be impossible due to not being implemented in wxWidgets. Alternatively, make the listing not force alphabetical sorting, that way one can slowly move it up the tree. Not ideal but definitely a solution. Maybe a button or right click action can "alphabetise this folder" or whatever for people who want that.

When I select several files on the local Site list (bottom) and move them to a folder on the same list, one of the file does not get moved - see attached screenshots that illustrate what i'm saying

I update to the latest patch 3.9.0.1 and for now on I got driver problem, my screen goes to black and windows show me a message with a driver issue problem. I update my windows, I uninstall FileZilla, reboot and re-install and still got this problem.

It is possible to get the interface to show duplicate drive letters in the "Local site" directory listing (not the tree view, in the actual file list).

• Open FZ client
• Select "My Computer" from the Local directory tree so the listing shows the drives in the computer
• Click the "Filter the directory listings" button
• Click "Cancel" on the "Directory Listing Filters" window

There should now be a duplicate drive letter shown in the directory listing for the local machine. On my machine this is reproducible 100% of the time. There is no log information to post for this.

Additionally, minimizing FZ and maximizing again will sometimes cause a different drive letter to show up duplicated.

During the file transfer a part of a file gets currupted which results in having a server plugin broken.

In the attached documents (orignal and changed file) the lines (original) 1950-2023 will be removed. In addition, line 1949 (01521;;Teleport) will replaced with (01521;;TelePORT 82,83,17,203,128,62 to). Altough some parts were deleted the file sizes are both the same.

don't know if this is the correct place. When I start FZ 3.0.2.1 on my Win 2003 server I get a warning. That warning contains an error in the last sentence. At least in the Dutch translation, maybe as well in other languages. It says translated "only when you deactivate either the firewall or the application layer service then you will experience time-outs". It should probably read "only when you deactivate either the firewall or the application layer service then you will NOT experience time-outs". The correct sentence in Dutch for that is " Alleen wanneer je of de Windows Firewall uitschakelt of de Application Layer Gateway uitschakelt, dan zal FileZilla geen timeout hebben bij grote overdrachten".

I downloaded the latest version of Filezilla. All of my connections work except the one for the test Sybase Interface Engine. I get this error - Connection attempt failed with "EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename".

When downloading a file from an IBM Z/OS mainframe to a PC using the Mac client (3.63.2) if the file contains a Carrot, which is 0xB0 in EBCDIC and 0x5E in ASCII, the character does not get converted resulting in a non-printable 0xB0 on the Mac file. This can create issues with other programs trying to process the file. Is it possible to update the ASCII translations to properly handle this character?

My friend can connect and my IP is not banned because i can connect to the control panel. I have a new computer for a couple of days but the old computer was fine with connecting.

I still get this error even I disabled Windows Firewall.

After the upgrade, the lcient get disconnect every 2-5 minutes (ECONNRESET - Connection reset by peer). In the older versions this doesn't happen.

I recently had ATT install their "Fixed Wireless" service for Internet at my house. The ATT Fixed Wireless system uses an antenna on the roof to receive signal from the ATT cellular network to deliver Internet via a wire to a new router they installed the home. It is NOT a "hotspot." Anyway, after it was installed, I found I could no longer use FileZilla to connect via secure FTP to my server (I previously never had any trouble). Fortunately, I had not yet disconnected the previous Internet connection, so I switched to that router and was able to connect as I had previously.

I called ATT Fixed Wireless for some help and, although I ended up getting disconnected before I was connected to tech support, the "receptionist" opined that the issue could be related to lack of support for "port forwarding" in their ATT Fixed Wireless service. I do not have sufficient knowledge to know if that is the issue, but mention it in case there is any relevance.

The settings that I have always used for this server are:

I tried the two other "secure" protocols available in FileZilla (using the ATT Fixed Wireless network) and the result was the same unsuccessful connection attempt. Then I tried the standard unencrypted FTP over Port 21 and that worked fine (e.g. the ATT Fixed Wireless successfully connected me to my server using vanilla FTP, but would not work with any secure method).

I did not try SFTP because I have never been successful in getting that set up on the server or client side.

It is hard to believe this is not something I can resolve with a tweak to an existing setting (which I do not know about), but if not, it seems to me that is is going to prevent me from using FileZilla and I certainly hope that is not the outcome, because the ATT Fixed Wireless connection is 20 times faster than my now-disconnected DSL.

Getting this error ever since the last update and can not connect. Others in my office who did not do the latest update are able to connect just fine.
