This happens after a couple of images have been successfully uploaded I have been using Filezilla for ages and never experienced the same issue.

i reported yesterday with a bug of wxWidget, i tried this version: wxWidgets-WX_3_0_BRANCH and recompile filezilla 3.30.0, it gave me the error

None of the tickets opened previously by other people have been fully answered. Most went unanswered (by the submitter) and got closed. My issue is using the Linux distribution of Filezilla got me the following output when connecting from my computer:

I run Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64 bit. This error occurred on February 23, 2018 and I've been running through possible solutions thus far. Before Feb. 23, I've been using a Mac to connect to the same server without any problems. The server information is (areas with <* *> are sensitive areas and are ommitted):

I've made sure all settings are correct and are identical to my Mac configuration. I've seen suggestions to edit TLS settings or config files and I'm both hesitant and incompetent in performing these solutions. Thank you for your time and I look forward to a reply at your earliest convenience.

*If it makes any difference, Filezilla was installed through mintInstall7.6.3 'Software Manager'

Hi Guys, I start having a weird problem uploading to webdav. It was working before but now when I upload folders it shows that it transfers/transfers is complete and not showing as failed/, but there is no folders nor files in the remote drive. At the same time if i manually make the folder on the remote drive and upload only files into it works just fine. I made a screen video to show you how it acts.

Sometimes mousecursor jumps in local fileexplorer window when try to mark multiple files/folders.

I click for drag and then the cursor jumps (while having markingbox) to the rightdown corner, like his position is set to infinity in mouseMoveEvent.

This doesn't happen if there are allready marked items.

(feels like 2 events compete at mouseevent)

special: I have a 2 monitor setup where my primary monitor is the left one, and the secondary monitor is the right one. On the logical site the left monitor is on the left site (So when I leave my primary(right) monitor on the left site I enter the left monitor).

Hello Filezilla Team,

I am using Filezilla Server with FTPS.

I was working on our one of the servers to disable TLs 1.0 and fix other security issues.

1) I found that Filezilla FTP server(FTPS 990) supports TLs 1.0 even though I disabled on windows server 2012 R2.

2) I disabled "Secure Client-Initiated Renegotiation" on my server, but while connecting FTPS (port 990) it is supporting "Secure Client-Initiated Renegotiation".

Is there any way to disabled TLs 1.0 support and "Secure Client-Initiated Renegotiation " in Filezilla server by means of configuration. Or can you provide a hotfix for the same in software for configuration?

How to reproduce:

1. Create a local file, for example 'index.html'
2. Create a remote file with the same name
3. Drag the file from the local directory to the remote directory (to copy the file)
4. FileZilla detects that there's already a file called 'index.html'. It will ask what you want. Choose 'Rename' and click OK.
5. A Rename File dialog is opened. The remote path should be [RemoteDir]/[Filename], however, the slash is missing.

The problem occured after the update from 3.34.0. All later versions have problems with memory management, including most recent 3.40.0. The program keeps running in the background and can only be closed to start a new session after Ctrl-Alt-Del and ending the process manualy.

This behavior is always when an connection can not be made or when the transfer is interupted. After that is is not possible to open a new connection without closing the progrma and manualy ending the process in memory.

An other report mentions the same behavoir. That describes this while updating the version. That happens with me also.

I can't connect to all of my servers with FileZilla since today, I have an error "Data connection cannot be established: WSAEADDRNOTAVAIL - Unable to assign the requested address"

Please, could you help me?

PS. I use Vesta control panel - I install it before trying to connect with FileZilla

All of a sudden I start seeing this error in the log and the connections are being dropped:

The only major change was the installation of the regular Windows updates the day before. I've updated to the latest version 0.9.60 but that also has the same problem.

This was previously reported in tickets #8771 and #4626 but it looks like we have something similar again.

I uploaded a bunch of files by dragging them from a Nemo window into Filezilla's server-side tab.

I do this all the time, but this time a window with an assert error message showed up.

I tried the "Continue" button, but the popup would show up again and again, so I eventually chose "Stop", and then FileZilla crashed (unless closing it is what the Stop button does).

I have no idea how to reproduce this systematically. It only happened randomly this one time (and I'm sure it'll happen again in the future, but it certainly doesn't happen often)

I'm attempting to delete a folder with one or more pdf files in it. There are currenlty 7,854 directories in /pdfs. I've done this many times before without issue.

Ex. path. "../pdfs/347555/347555.1588361310.pdf"

Delete and backspace keys do not work for:

Site Manager, Site Name, "Host" "Port" Change the Logon Type to Normal, then "User" has the same issue. "Comments"

These keys work perfectly for other sites, including in this field I am typing right now.

When I first start up the program I get an error message indicating: Couldn't add an image to the image list.

I am using Windows 10 and Filezilla Client version 3.5.10

The new 3.52.2 version is crashing when uploading to dropbox. I never had any problems with 3.51 and have uploaded over 2TB of Data with no problems. The new version randomly crashes at different times. I've also tried reinstalling. Is there any chance you can send me a link to download the older FileZilla Pro 3.51 again until there's a fix?

Bug Description: I'm not seeing files with hebrew charecters in the files, local and remote.

I am logged in, checked to make sure that the program was connected. made a new directory in public_html called image-files dragged the images from the left pane to the right pane. Would not dray. Then deleted failed attempts 3 times and still cannot drag the files into that folder.

PS: I don't know what how to determine the information you want: component version, operating system version. I am using a PC if that helps.

using filezilla to download directories from a openVMS system. The OpenVMS system has a directory named "CON". filezilla creates a directory in windows called "CON" when I ftp the directory but it causes issue since this is an invalid directory name. Explorer wouldn't do anything when I tried to delete the 'CON' directory, cmd.exe gave an 'access is denied' when I would try to remove the directory. Checking security and trying to do anything on the folder that was created would just result in various errors about access denied, unexpected error, undetermined error etc. Researching I found that there certain keywords that are not allowed to be used as directory names and "CON" is one of those. I was able to eventually remove the directory but I had to search around to find a specific rd command to do this as the other options (rd, rmdir, explorer) wouldn't remove the directory.

Tried multiple times to connect to the server and it keeps giving me an error

i have a CCTV system from TANTOS solutions with ability to upload files to FTP server when alarm triggers.

I have own FileZilla FTP server with next parameters: OS: Windows 10 Pro (build 19044.2728) FileZilla: 0.9.41 beta

I have separated account for my CCTV system with all permissions on its home directory.

My CCTV recorder can connect to my FTP server successfully, but it can not upload files on it.

When it tries to test connection i have following messags on logs:

As you can see the problem is in 550 response of FTP server because it can not return a size of file.

I have tested this behavior on other servers and it were succcessfull. The problem is only with FileZilla solution.

Also i sent a support request to my CCTV system manufacturer and they says, that this issue in my FTP server software.

Since last week, one of my customer cannot connect to FileZilla server. Keep in mind that it was working before.

One of her colleague is able to connect to the server on the same network and I can connect with her account on another network.

In the window, it says:

AUTH TLS 502 - Auth command is not supported. 502 - Please contact your network administrtator to enable FTPS service

What cause this issue?

FileZilla seems to check for updates even if I set the option to "Never" and it pops up "New version available" window at startup which is very annoying when you launch FZ to do something urgently.

Updates that show up even when "Never" is set in the drop down box. I do not need to be reminded for something that I do not need.

When logged into a netware server it is possible to also access other servers in the same tree. This is done with the command CD servername/volumename/directoryname/ etc. etc.

Filezilla removes the first / and sends /servername/volumename/directoryname/ which of course fails. Some way to override the default behaviour so that the other servers can be accessed is required.

When the LIST command is responded to by an FTP server (as the result of getting the list of files in a directory), certian date formats are not parsed correctly:

SSL certifiactes should be displayed to the root signer.

When transmiting a file, if the system time is changed. The transmission rates and elapsed time will be incorrect.

The example in attach file is to set the system time 4 days before, then negative value of the transmission rates is displayed.

Passwords saved as plain text in ~/.filezilla/sitemanager.xml for fielzilla 3.0.0-0ubuntu1 on gutsy.

Password should be stored encrypted so that it is more protected to abuse.

The .filezilla directory itself is mode 700, so no one can read the plaintext passwords. That said, it would be a good idea for filezilla to use the Gnome Keyring instead of storing plain text passwords.

I thought about something web2.0-like and created a set of icons for you - hope you like it!

I find that went browsing FTP sights for file can be very time consuming and lengthy. The ablity to search a FTP sight is a valuable one.

Can the order for startup events be changed to give immediate user feedback. I frequently operate on a Windows machine that has an occasional VPN connection.

There are usually 7 remote directories defined that

are only VPN reachable. When the VPN is not active, Filezilla spends about 1 minute waiting on timeouts before it displays anything. This leads to doubts about whether it has been clicked properly, etc. Which leads to double and triple starts of Filezilla and that just makes things worse.

Possible solutions:

1) Put up a splash screen immediately. All I need is

some indication that things are starting.

2) Put up the basic Filezilla display structure, but

with neither the local nor the remote directory information populated. That plus a cursor wait icon would be enough to know that things are working.

3) Provide an option to eliminate partitions from the

local directory structure. This would suit my use since I only use one partition for transfers. It might not suit other people very well.

Creating and removing these network devices for every startup and shutdown of the VPN is not a practical solution. They must always be there. Windows eventually times out when you attempt to use one when the VPN is not running, so the problem is the long delays from programs like Filezilla that attempt to check every single mounted partition during startup.

It would be a helpful feature to get FXP support in the client

I suggest add language selection to main menu. If a user selected a language that he does not know by mistake, It will be hard for him to go back to the right language. I like FileZilla very much. Wish it get better and better:)

This way, users could read it without scrolling up the messages in FileZilla client main interface.

Bulletproof has excellent Ratio support. It's one of the things I still miss in FileZilla.

To use when a site has a ratio, for example to download 1MB I first need to upload 1MB.

How it works: I have a number of files selected to up and download. The top of the list holds the download queue, the bottom of the list the upload queue. Now when I try to download a file but don't have enough credits, it will upload a file and try again.

The docs do not specify the format for importing a file into the queue. The choices are xml and txt, but the docs don't provide an example of either.

Please add this to the docs.

Some of most important ftp program have a feature for backup or automatick upload to one or more ftp space. i haven't seen this in filezilla.

Filezilla doesn't support SCP, WinSCP doesn't support FTP.

The WinSCP-Developer stated under ​http://winscp.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=197 that FPT will be included in WinSCP if anyone develops it. As FileZilla is a great existing FTP-Client, why don't exchange the sources among other. FileZilla can be improved with SCP-Suport and WinSCP can be improved with FTP-Support.

Per RFC-2228 supports four arguments to PROT:

C - Clear -neither integrity nor privacy S - Safe - integrity without privacy E - Confidential - privacy without integrity P - Private - integrity and privacy

As of release 2.2.8c of FileZilla, if you specify a remote site as server type "FTP over TLS (explicit encryption)" (or "over SSL") the client sends "PROT P", specifying to encrypt both control and data connections. There should be an option in the client to choose the level of protection you desire. Some FTP servers (such as WS_FTP Server) now support allowing a clear command channel after authentication for compatibility with FTP application gateways/proxies found in firewalls and NAT devices.

Ipswitch WS_FTP Server 5.0 introduced a new command "CCC" ("Clear Command Channel") which is issued immediately after authentication to signal that the command channel should no longer be encrypted. This allows for secure authentication via explicit FTPS, while also allowing firewall FTP application gateways/proxies to correctly handle passive connections (as they can now see the passive response from the FTP server behind them). Currently, only Ipswitch's WS_FTP Pro client supports this command.

I use broadband I have 256kbs up 512kbs up these are mutually exclusive it would be helpful in the filezilla to allow mutiple connections for transfering files only where they aer in different directions. ie 1up and 1down not 2down or 2up

when root login is disabled in the remote ssh server sshd_config (PermitRootLogin no) you need the "su" command to get access to folders which need root privileges. As you can't login as root, you can't d/l with the "download as" dialog for obvious reasons. Please implement an "su" (substitute user) dialog.

I use FileZilla FTP Server and like it very much. The only thing I miss from the Server Interface is the option of confirming the interface application exit. Sometimes I click on the [X] of the interface to send it back to the system tray and get disappointed when it closes. I think an "application exit confirmation" popup could solve my problem.

I don't think it would be hard to do an option like this.

Could the developement team include skey/opie support?

Filezilla recognize the server is asking for skey/opie and prompt the user the enter the skey/opie password instead of plain text password.

FileZilla is really great software, but the feature I am missing most is the ability to actually download ONE file using multiple parallel connections. Many FTP servers (including the one of the company I work for) limit the bandwidth per connection, very often this limit is in the 20kB/sec range. I was using LeechFTP before that supports multi-threaded multi-part download (using multiple parallel connections) but development has been discontinued and it does not support any security (SSL). Whenever you have a high-speed internet connection and need to download a large file (e.g. CD image) I was able to cut the download time by over 75% using this feature.

Would be great if you could consider this for a future release.

When creating new users it would be great if we could set a date when the user automaticlly should be removed. We are creating loads of users that should be active for a few weeks only. This feature exists in e.g. Serv-U and is great.

It would be great if FileZilla could have an option to select a FlashFXP-like layout. Most people really like that layout, but miss that in Filezilla. This could draw even more people to use Filezilla (they even installed it permanently on my university as default FTP program)

I would like to see the logging options expanded to allow logging to a standard syslog server running on udp 514. In the config form allow the user to enter the IP address for the syslog server. Maybe allow a non-standard port, that would be useful for some people.

I would only log items such as logins/logouts and file puts/gets.

The settings, groups and users windows are a bit too small for my taste, could it be possible to get a small resizing mechanism, as the main filezilla server window?

When setting shared folders for groups and users, it's not very easy to determine which folder to edit and you need to use the horisontal scrollbar along with expanding the directories and alias columns, which makes this a lot more unfriendly to administrators with many folders on this list.

A option to keep the system tray icon active would be helpful, especially if you have the hide inactive icons in the windows system trsy option checked.

There would extremely nice if the server would implement support for extending functionality via FTP "site" commands, for example by configuring an external program to be ran, passing the "site" partameters as arguments to that program. Furthermore, even better would be that the server is able to load some plugin dll's and call a standard function in it, passing the "site" arguments. This in ideea that the function returns a string which is returned to the client as response to the "site" command. I would like to write such a dll for doing some custom adminstration on my home server remotely.

It would be nice if FileZilla server had an option for ignore errors when the RNTO command points to an existing file. I mean that if a client sends a RNFR <filename1> and a RNTO <filename2>, the server now sends always an error if a file named <filename2> already exists. I'd like to choose the behaviour in order to avoid this. regards

It would be nice if UTF8 file naming support would not be 'wired' into FileZilla Server. I think, many people use such ftp-clients that do not yet support the UTF8 character set. So it would be nice if you could implement a checkbox that makes UTF8 support only a selectable feature (and the default setting would be the 'old' character set like in 0_9_14a and earlier versions).

Could there be a restriction option to the messages window, that only "Response: 220 msg,msg,msg" are displayed? The reason is, my users are unable to see the messages I give them because there is so much information in the messages window. Thanks! PS: Maybe an option to list only specific response codes. ie. This feature request is for allowing the Filezilla client to delete non-empty directories. Some FTP servers allow this with the use of the -r (recursive) option with the rm command.

This can be introduced in the Filezilla client as a option feature (which can be turned on by the user as required).

"Show last log file" or "Show log files folder" command in menu when user choose it on icon in status bar (if logging turned on). It is useful small feature.

It's time to say goodbuy to ProFTPd, PureFTPd, and all the others! Please port the server version to Linux and include a X-platform GUI!

I have heavily used Filezilla Servers. When opening the Admin tool the info that scrolls across the admin tool moves so fast that you can't even think about reading it. This also causes a big problem with screen refresh when you are accessing servers remotely. An option to enable/disable the output of server activity to the admin console would be most helpful. Thanks for a great product!

Each user should have separate no-connection and no-data-transfer timeout options from the others. Of course, the global options can exist.

When adding a shared folder, other than the home folder, the user should be forced to enter a name and the vitual FTP path. The way it is now (v0.9.24), adding a shared folder without an alias, is meaningless, since it doesn't appear in the client's list.

Many log parser scripts are unable to parse Filezilla Server Logs in thier current form. Can we have an option for loggin formats in the server i.e. XFERLOG or W3C extended format.

Hi, when a file transfer is happening, if I scroll up in the log, it keeps moving and I can't really read it.

My sugestion is that as soon as the log isn't at the very bottom, scrolling is frozen (though it continues to fill) so I can look back at the log and read entries while the transfer is still proceeding.

Hello! It would be nice to be able to have an option to hide the content of a folder. This way, people could add new files to a folder, but the file would be hidden right away. I would set this separatly from the "read" option. A file folder could have its files "read" and "hidden". Thank you!

When dragging files with long file names (or folders containing them) in 3.0.10 from a ProFTPD host to a Vista client, they are added to the cue, but not copied. (No error note is shown.) It's a problem solely in FileZilla, Vista itself can handle those file names without problems. So the workaround is, if one knows about this bug: rename the files to shorter file names, copy them, rename them back. Outside of FileZilla, because it cannot even rename them back on the Vista client.

Hello, as the title says not everything in a folder will be uploaded and I tried it several times and this happens since the last five updates of FileZilla, so some content was uploaded and some not and it's impossible for me to explain it why, in the older releases it was possible to upload a full folder with its content but in the newer ones its not possible and I ask why? I've always had the problem described in Ticket #3126 when connecting to ftpperso.free.fr. Contrary to what's written in ticket #3126, the problem is not fixed in recent versions of FileZilla. Worse still, this causes numerous timeouts, and/or disconnections from that server (Which hosts all user home pages of the most popular ISP in France). This is really annoying to have to click the [R] button to reconnect every time.

I testest the same Server with a old FileZilla Portable Version (2.2.32) and it works properly.

All clients use PASV and the servers are configured with port-ranges thats are accepted on the servers incomming firewall.

Except for the ECONNABORTED word, it was doing the same on my last version. It's been three months since I am able to access the site to upload files.

Custom filetype associations are not working.

Filezilla is using the Default filetype associations even though "Use filetype associations if available" has been selected in Settings dialogue box

however when I use the context menu (right button menu) to open a file in the local site: file window of Filezilla, the system default filetype associations are used eg a file of type .txt is opened in Notepad.exe instead of xint.exe. BTW xint does not require any parameters and this feature worked fine on a previous version of filezilla (sorry - can't recall which).

Iv just started getting this error sence 3.1.1.1 I just installed windows XP sp3 and it has not made a differance.

I am using Dreamweaver CS3 as my computer's default editor. When I right-click and hit edit on any files it opens CS3, but does not actually open the file. Although if I edit the file at any point it does ask me to upload due to a change.

I am using a windows ftp server for uploading my files. I can't able to download files from server to my local machine.

Secondly, back to folders not working properly. In my Remote Site bar always there '\' after the path, it may be more than one in some cases. eg: C:/home/data/\

Context menu to "Edit" a file on the local site window is grayed out if not connected to a remote site. "Open" works but doesn't use the defined editor. Once connected to a remote site the Local Site Window "Edit" option becomes available.

I noticed this right away when I first upgraded from version 2. This bug previously reported 5 weeks ago as ticket #3637 "Edit option not available" and closed by sf-robot. That ticket stated: "This problem began when I updated from 3.0.11.0."

Where I'm using a Chinese version windows XP.

Both in the Drop-down box of remote path and the content box below if there has some Chinese characters, for example.

When updating file zilla from an earlier version to FileZilla_3.1.2 the desktop icon disapears. Restart the installer and make sure the Desktop Icon component is selected.

Please reference Ticket #3742. In the context menu on the local site window "Edit" is grayed out when not connected to a remote site but is available when connected. However, editing the file while offline is preferred to editing the file while connected. Proposed workflow:

1. All files stored locally match all online files and folders.
2. FileZilla Client is opened first because if presents a clear directory structure of the local files and folders that need to be edited.
3. Use FileZilla Client and navigate through the local directory structure in the local site window and use context menu to open for "edit" various files while offline.
4. Edit files in "Default editor" as defined in settings.
5. Connect to remote site and upload changed files.

Usually, when I receive the new version alerts I don't want to install them immediately. For example, I use Filezilla when I access a client site in order to download a file to their server, I often haven't been on their for a month, I want to do this process as quickly as possible, and nearly everytime there is a new version alert waiting.

Can you just issue the new version alerts on start-up yearly?

And keep the new version text in the toolbar for anyone who wants to download the new version immediately?

I have no issues with the software and so none of the time I have taken to update my 30-40 clients with the latest version has had any improvements. I know I can say no to the alert, but for me, I feel its too intruding.

Please do not misunderstand: this is not a repeated "inverse queue" bug; rather an inconsistency wich (at least for me and many people i know) almost everytime creates time-consuming work of priority rescheduling: If I manually create a local directory and download the _contents_ of a remote directory into it, they are perfectly in alphabetical order in the queue. If I directly download the remote folder, the contained files are being downloaded in inverse order compared to the above method. This is particularily neccesary for sequentially numbered image strips, sounds, etc.

When setting the option "Preserve timestamps of transferred files", it is incorrectly preserving the modified timestamp by leaving off the seconds information (they are all 00 after transferring).

This causes a problem with our file synchronization software making it think that every file has been modified from the original.

We are using Filezilla client version 3.1.2 and Filezilla server version 0.9.27.

Please let me know if I need to provide a sample log.

When I download folder(s) with many subfolders, often FileZilla Client finish downloading when many sub-directories not downloaded. More exactly it not added many folders to queue, because in task panel all finished success. I guess there is a problem with loop scan of sub-folders.

Version of FileZilla: 3.1.2 OS: Windows Vista 64 (but as I remember it was on Windows XP 32 bit too, guess on any Windows system)
