Our firewall proxy server requires username/password authentication and there is no facility to enter and/or store these details, so Update Check always fails.

It would be very useful if you could add proxy server authentication (proxy servername, port, username, password) to the Update Check option.

Navigation: Edit -> Settings... -> Update Check

Please note: this was originally posted as ticket:4588 but was closed as being a duplicate of ticket:4508. It isn't, however: behind our firewall we bypass the proxy server, so setting the global proxy settings actually disables access to all sites within our intranet. Separate settings for Update Check (separate from global proxy settings) would resolve this problem. I'm sure many others have the same problem.

you cant sort the column heading for the files your downloading.

Only Client 3.2.6 corrupts files during upload/transfer. Downloading files works just fine. During upload of files to filezilla server 0.9.27 and filezilla server 0.9.32 both of which are set up with ftps port 990 using passive transfer mode, files stop and restart at random offsets thusly corrupting the files. also strange is if you click disconnect from ftp server during a transfer, the files continue to transfer. The only way to stop it is to completely close filezilla client. Error received during corruption is "Data connection SSL warning: SSL3 alert write: fatal: bad record mac". logged as follows...(names and ip addresses changed)

With the latest version of FileZilla if I drag and drop a file in order to upload it from a folder in the Finder *or* from the file browser on the left side of FileZilla into the connected-to FTP site on the right side, I get a total crash. I actually don't even have to "drop" the file, just moving it over the connected-to FTP site on the right so that the window highlights crashes the program. This did not happen in the previous version.

after uploading big files (2.5 GB) I found that FileZilla does not mark files in red when the filesize is diffrent (toggle directory comparison on). Please compare the line above the marked in the attachment. Tank you for a realy great tool!

I've scoured HELP, FileZilla fora and existing tickets, but can't find any that discuss this issue. Apologies if I've missed something.

I use FileZilla to transfer files from a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) to a Windows PC. The PVR has a linux based file system, which permits numerous characters which are not permitted in Windows filenames, for example, asterisk "*", left and right angle brackets "<" and ">", back slash "\" and colon ":".

Thankfully most of these characters are rare in source file names, BUT, the worst one, colon is quite common. The PVR files often contain time stamps, in format "hh:mm:ss". When attempting to transfer such a file, the transfer fails with an error like:

Failed to open "C:\Documents and Settings\John\My Documents\Some File hh:mm:ss.txt" for writing

That's good, as it occurs immediately. However, if the source file name contains only ONE colon, like "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" the transfer proceeds, but the resulting file is unuseable from Windows. Curiously, it appears in the FileZilla window with the apparently correct name, but Windows Explorer shows it with the name only up to the colon, with no filetype extension, and a size of 0. The file appears empty when opened, despite taking considerable time to transfer (especially large video files!).

I don't really consider this a bug in FileZilla, it's more a limitation due to the differences in filesystems and the meaning of different meta-characters.

I can manually change the filename on the PVR through FileZilla before attempting the transfer, but I sometimes forget, leading to much wasted time (for some reason the network speeds of PVRs tend to be throttled, so transfers of large video files can take hours). I've seen the same behaviour on two different types of PVR.

A better solution would be to have a mechanism where I could specify certain characters in the source file specification are automatically changed into some other character, or perhaps dropped in the output file specification. For example, I could specify that ":" in a filename be translated into "_" when the file is downloaded. Thus "Movie: Star Wars.mpg" would become "Movie_ Star Wars.mpg" The translation table could be an attribute of the connection.

If done at a deep enough level, this could be made to work with directory comparison and synchronised browsing, as FileZilla would recognise the file names as being equivalent, even though they're different.

I'm thinking of a simple substitution table, defined per host, but there are many other ways to achieve the same result, for example there could be a canned table for each target operating system, or some kind of regular expression mechanism. I'm not terribly concerned about how it works, I'd just like to be able to transfer these files without having to think about them!

When uploading from a client that supports a : in the filename, the FileZilla will accept the file for download, but will store anything after the : as an alternate data stream.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or a feature.

It might be good to include a configuration toggle to disable this behaviour (i.e. send an invalid filename message to the sender) by default, as I found it very surprising.

Test case:

From a BSD, Mac or Linux box, create a file named "a:b". Upload the file. The server will show a 0 byte file named a, with an alternate data stream b with all of the content.

My (linux) mail server stores files as <meaningless name>:2 and when I download such a file to windows it creates a file stream. Would it be possible to have an option to inhibit stream creation?

It would be great if filezilla server prevents PC going in Standby/Suspend to disk while a user is logged on / during file transfer. Best would be an option, so in special cases one can choose to prefer forcing standby/STD or protect user-logon/file transfer.

Excellent application, but it's really painful not to be able to right-click local files and open them in my favorite applications. The "Edit" command usually starts the wrong application. What is needed is "Open With..." dialog like in other Windows apps. Or at least "Explore this folder" to open the folder in Windows Explorer (so I can use it's context menu).

Here's how to display standard "Open With..." dialog for file named "filename" in Windows:

I was wondering if there was a email notification for the FileZilla server. If not it would be helpful if there was one being put into a later version or update.

Add a dropdown option to Refresh button on toolbar to 'Refresh local' and 'Refresh remote' only. Steps:

1. Create a new file and save it in local location.

2. Return to FileZilla - file does not show in current local pane.

3. Click 'Refresh' button on toolbar to refresh view and see new file.

What happens:

1. If the remote server is disconnected, FileZilla must take time to re-connect and grab a directory listing of remote server as well as local directory.

Wish:

1. When I know I want to refresh local only, I can select to do this.

2. This works equally in the other direction. Sometimes I only want to refresh the remote view (eg when someone else has dropped a file on the remote server).

Remember Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing settings when reconnecting to last used server. Steps:

1. Connect to server

2. Toggle Directory Comparison 'ON' using button on toolbar.

3. Toggle Synchronised Browsing 'ON' using button on toolbar.

4. Upload/download files.

5. Disconnect.

6. Reconnect using toolbar button 'Reconnects to the last used server'.

What happens:

1. Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing are both 'OFF'

Wish:

1. If the local folder location is the same as it was at last disconnect, and on reconnection the remote folder is still there, then FileZilla should preserve the Directory Comparison and Synchronised Browsing setting at point of last disconnection.

When browsing local system files in Filezilla, a zip file with an escaped apostrophe in the filename shows up as a folder (named as everything before the apostrophe, not including the backslash), with it's contents being a zip file (named as the apostrophe onward).

How I encountered the bug: -Connect to server with files identical to the files stored locally -Navigate to the zip file's containing folder on the remote host -Navigate to the zip file's containing folder locally -The local folder contained identical files as the remote one, except instead of "Guy-123\'s Important Stuff.zip", the local folder contained a folder named "Guy-123", and inside of it was a file named "'s Important Stuff.zip".

Other information: -The zip file contained a folder named "Guy-123's Important Stuff", without a backslash before the apostrophe.

-In Windows Explorer, the folder with file inside showed up exactly as Filezilla showed it.

-After deleting the folder and contents locally in Windows, and re-copying the zip folder to my local copy of the website in Filezilla, Filezilla created an exact copy of the folder-with-file instance that had previously occurred.

-Using an online control panel, the online zip file's name is also "Guy-123\'s Important Stuff.zip".

If you use Filezilla to transfer a file with a / in it from a device that supports them in file names, Filezilla will cut the file name apart and create a directory with the first part and name the file the second part.

This was noticed transferring files from an iPod Touch through SSH onto a Windows Vista machine with Filezilla 3.2.7.1.

Seems to be caused since other filesystems than NTFS and FAT allow "/" as a regular character, as they use "\" for directory structure instead. When transferring, the host OS interpretes the character "\" as indicating a directory.

For example:

Transferring /remote/myfile\'name.txt to C:\localdir\ will create a directory c:\localdir\myfile\, transfer the file there instead, with the name "'name.txt"

It's almost impossible to use Filezilla with a Wacom tablet and pen, since clicking anything in the file structure almost always is misinterpreted as a click-drag (since you tend to move the pen slightly while clicking.)

This results in the "Source and target are identical" error message, forcing tablet users to solely use the keyboard for navigation.

The upload status in the queue is appearing at the top of the queue window, with only a blank space appearing under the file currently being uploaded. This misplaced status line is covering the clickable sort headers (e.g. "Server/Local file", "Direction", "Remote file"); these headers reappear if moused-over, but disappear again when the status is redrawn.

The only way to refresh your local view seems to be pressing F5. When you're dragging files or folders to the Filezilla local window its contents are refreshed regularly. Now add a file to or rename a file to this directory using your explorer (outside Filezilla but while Filezilla is running) Filezilla's local window doesn't get aware of any of these changes. Is there really no communication between Filezilla and the OS for an automatic refresh known from many other applications?

Right click on the header bar for local files. The column setup dialog appears. Delete a column or move a column. The results are that the headers move, but the actual listing remains the same.

It would be nice to have a prompt to quit the interface or at least minimize to tray on X and quit from a dropdown menu on there. Oftentimes I close the UI by accident. Many servers have it, and it should only take minutes to implement.

This one would be a very useful feature especially considering I've seen FZ server use up to 12% CPU on high load. Because the server runs in the background it's always activated. So I don't want it arbitrarily slowing down my computer when I'm doing something intensive. Also I know there are those people out there who would like to have it the other way around and use their server at high prio on dedicated machines.

I don't know what language FZ is written in but in VB it's dead easy to implement such a feature with SetPriorityClass. All itwould need is an entry to read and write to in the .ini advertising the feature, an option with the priority somewhere in the UI, (Realtime, AboveNormal, Normal, BelowNormal, and Low) and a bit of code that would apply the setting at two points - on startup and on saving settings. Sounds like fifteen minutes of work.

Right-clicking the header bar within the local and remote file windows brings up the Column Setup dialogue for selecting the columns that should be displayed and the order in which to display them.

Changing these configurations by checking and unchecking the boxes and using the move up and move down buttons will change the visibility and location of the column headers, as it should. However, the file details below do not change with the column headers, as they should.

For example, if you uncheck the Filesize box in order to hide that column, the header goes away, but the column containing the Filesize information for each file is still listed below. Only now it appears under the Filetype header, as the Filesize header is no longer visible. And the Filetype information is listed below the Last Modified header. The file detail columns do not change visibility or order, no matter what settings you make in the Column Setup dialogue box.

This behavior has been confirmed on two separate machines, although both are running the same version of Windows.

3.2.8 installed for the first time on a fresh Windows 7 Eval copy. When attempting to edit a file, either local or remote, with the "Edit" entry of the popup menu (you bring it up with the right mouse key), the application crashes. The problem seems to happen always.

When connected to aa remote site, I try and edit a css file by right clicking on the remote file (in the remote view window) and choosing the view/edit command from the menu. The program immediately crashes. It takes a while to close.

To reproduce: Right mouse click on a column heading in either the local or remote file pane. The "Column setup" dialog is displayed. Select (highlight) a column, then click either the "Move up" or "Move down" button. Click "OK" then view the pane. The column headings will have changed order BUT NOT the content.

For example, if the order was 'Filename,Filesize,Filetype,Last modified' and you move 'Filetype' up, you will see a column heading of 'Filetype' with numbers beneath, and a column heading of 'Filesize' but the column contents are type names such as "zip file" or "batch file".

Last Modified column displays filetype instead of when files last modified.

Under Last Modified column both remotely and locally are descriptors such as "file folder," "jpeg image," "png image," etc. instead of when a file or folder was last modified.

In transfert > Default action if file exist > if i choose replace if modification date or size is different > the program ask me to change name for each file (I.E rename file action (if file exist)) seems to be the same for each action. If i choose date or size matching it's not working any more

From menu: transfer -> default file exists action. In uploads drop down select "Overwrite file if size differs or file is newer". Note that while I was documenting this problem I also discovered that the same thing happens when the default file action exists setting for upload is set for overwrite if different size or newer.

Upload file which does not meet this criteria. A dialog box occurs which asks to rename the file instead of skipping it.

Unfortunately the attached log does not show the fact of the rename dialog appearing and it being cancelled as it only shows that the file is being skipped. In fact the files being uploaded is the second time for them and should have been automatically skipped.

The attached log shows every file as being skipped but in fact the rename dialog was cancelled. Note that I aslso edited the log to remove server name/ip and user information

• filezilla client is not listening to the settings I have in Edit|Settings to resume on upload (defaults on Transfer|Default file exists action...)
• or filezilla client is choosing to do a STOR when it gets a ECONNRESET, which ruins my upload resumes.

my uploads take multiple days, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. quota is not a problem because that is not in the log for this file. I have been having this problem over and over. someone please fix.

I created a folder called "sites", which appears way down at the bottom of the list of connections.

I am able to move connections that fit in the window to the "sites" folder, but not anything outside the window.

the only workaround I have that I can think of is to edit the filezilla.xml file when filezilla is not running.

idea: some sort of "move to" button that brings up a folder tree list would be useful, where you could click on a particular folder. it would be nice if it remembered the last folder you clicked on.

I recently installed Dreamweaver and now I'm getting the message below when trying to edit php files. php files are not associated with Dreamweaver. I'm using the latest version of Filezilla.

The file 'C:\DW\premierparts.ca\acceptDecline.php' cannot be opened: The associated program (WX_DDE#"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe","C:\DW\premierparts.ca\crm\acceptDecline.php"##System#) could not be found. Please check your filetype associations.

(The exact messaging was taken from an unsolved ticket, but it's the same for me, just different file names.)

These two toggles (Remote and Local Directory Tree Toggle) are located in the top bar under the Main Menu Bar. They both have a weird behavior. Both were OFF upon start.

The weird behavior appears as soon as the tabbed interface is activated or a little later on while using it.

This behavior is characterized by:

• Clicking the button indents it (visual active state) but the panels for remote directory/local directory tree do not appear.
• The buttons do not respond to any further requests once in this state.

I am using the latest version of filezilla (updated 10 min ago.)

I have restarted filezilla and the buttons work again until I create a new tab. Unless now only the "remote directory tree" is affected by the bug. The local directory switch works properly. Then I create a new tab once again and both toggles work properly again. Then again I leave one tab open (the tab-panel disappears) and create a new tab - the problems appear again.

Truly a strange thing.

It's always been my believe that if I could program I'd ask all the questions up front so users could walk go onto to other things, kind of like a silent install. Instead of click a Q and 5 min later another and 5min later another ...I know their are valid reasons at times, but then sometimes it could be avoided

There seems to be a lack of right click options for the upload/download queue v 3.3.0.1 seems you can halt all the queue and remove all but lacks a option on right click to just halt and leave in the queue (pause) only way is to remove selected and then redrag it to the queue to resume it

In site mananger I have a profile with "[x] Use Synchronized Browsing" set. After disconnecting,

• using "Reconnnect to last used server" (icon)
• or Server -> Reconnect

synchronization is lost.

Works fine, of course, when reconnect through Site manager.

In our work place we have an unix server which has very strict file and folder permissions for new folders and files.

It would be great if FileZilla could have a setting where user can set the default permissions for new folders and files. For example in our server I would like to set the default permission 755 for all new folders and the setting 764 for all new files.

Hey there, I am a web developer, and use FileZilla to upload edits to live sites. It would greatly help my productivity if FileZilla had a function that would automatically check for updates to my edits (from the View/Edit context menu item) and automatically update them, giving me a simple notification when it has done so. I am aware that most of this functionality is already in FileZilla, and it would be trivial to add an option to the preferences to skip the dialog and overwrite the file automatically. That way one less step in my work-cycle when dealing with live sites has been cut out, and I would be one happy bunny :)

Is it possible to adopt the user interface of the user dialog in order to change the width of the 'directory/alias list'.

Because in my case I have long directory and alias names, and I want to show more at one view. So doubling the width of that list would be nice).

The file- and directory privileges could than be placed under the directory/alias list.

The user is currently alerted to new versions upon opening the FileZilla client, and is presented with the option to upgrade immediately or ignore the upgrade.

I want another option. (I don't like to be forced to do things right away, and I don't like to remember routine tasks like upgrades.)

In the upgrade alert, please include the option to automatically update the next time the FileZilla client is closed.

I just downloaded an upgrade but still two absolutely useful features are still lacking the latest versions.

1. I need a (permanently enabled!!) sound feedback after transfers
2. Please let FZ remember the synchronized browsing status

I am using the mac version of filezilla.

When i click on a folder it sometimes opens up the dialog that allows me to edit the name of the folder. But if you leave that dialog open then double click the same folder it takes you to that folders contents and the folder or file at the same position as the previous dialog is still open, deselected that folder makes the name change. Thus saving the file/folder with the incorrect name.

When I copy the URL to the clipboard I get:

It good be great to customize the Tab name and tab color of your favourites sites, specially for people who works in different environments.

It's a geat way to distinct in which tab you are.

I select one folder or file by clicking once, it shows highlighted with blue bar. Then when i again clicks for drag and drop the selected file/folder name becomes text box for renaming it, even though drag and drop works fine.

I think if I clicked another time after some delay then it should not become editable, right?

It would be useful if Filezilla Client could show a diff of the remote file against the local version, launched via the context (right-click) menu.

The differences between files could be shown either using basic diff command output, or perhaps make the application configurable so that users can select WinMerge or Kompare, for example, depending on preferences and platform.

Currently the Transfer Queue only has three tabs: Queued files, Failed transfers and Successful transfers.

However, when doing a sync, files get listed in successful transfers list regardless of the action (skipped or transferred).

It would be nice to be able to see those counts. Maybe a new coulmn in the Successful transfers tab called "Action" where you could see (and sort using that column) if and which files have been transferred and which have been skyped. It could possibly list the reason why it was detected as different (diff file size, source file newer etc.)

Settings -> File Editing

It would be nice if current checkbox:

[ ] Watch locally edited files and prompt to upload modifications

were broken into two checkboxes:

[ ] Watch locally edited files and upload modifications

[ ] Prompt before upload

I want locally modified files to upload without a prompt.

This is not the problem tracked and solved (I searched). This is a new one. Using 3.3.1. When on the remote side there is a file that has a leading blank in the name AND the first letter is a capital one, transfer fails. Using ftpd on FreeBSD 7.2 p4 x86 on remote server. Steps to reproduce:

• go in console on the ftp server and enter the ftp root
• cp any file from the system: cp /var/log/messages .
• from the client all works ok and can transfer messages file
• mv messages \ messages
• from the client it is ok again, with leading space
• mv \ messages \ Messages
• the client fails to transfer the file

Tried with any kind of file/permission combo, blank+capital seems to be the culprit. HTH Bye

This has been ticketed as feature requests before under ​http://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/1878 but I think it is a bug.

On returning to parent directory FileZilla jumps to the first entry on the file list but should stay on the folder just exited.

See standard file browser apps how to behave. Navigating with keyboard is essential in a utility like this.

When a saved website is opened with Site Manager, the toolbar buttons disappear. Some of the buttons reappear after mousing over them. This is a problem with 3.3.1 and 3.3.2-rc1.

The log gui sometimes overlaps the quick connect bar and menu bar.

I need queue delayed and triggered at programmed time, i.e. I queue files now 21:00 but want download to start at 3:00 at night when transfer is faster and I am sleeping but Filezilla works.

It would be handy to auto-complete the Default local/remote directory in the Site Manager when the user selects "Copy current connection to Site Manager".

Currently this must be done manually - and since the Site Manager dialog is Modal - you must close/re-open it twice to copy/paste the local/remote default directories.

On the Windows version (3.3.2) while connected to separate sites in different tabs switching between the tabs does not update the site specific bookmarks. Only the most recent site's bookmarks are displayed regardless of which tab is open.

Hi. Filezilla, great, actually.

Recently, and continuing on the just-released 3.3.2, info below, the message log from initial connection often scrolls upwards out of its pane, obliterating the text areas and buttons at the normal top of screen.

I managed to capture the hopefully enclosed pic where it doing so less than usual, so you can see the effect in its whole context. Usually it completely masks, overwriting with text log results.

By the time you see this happen, it no longer does -- subsequent logging for ftp transfers stays in the proper log area. It seems to occur then only during the initial connection.

This may be a won't fix, but in an ideal world an application will use the OS sort order, so thought I would throw this out here. In my Drupal theme directory with about 100 files along the lines of 'views-view-field--gigs-display--page-1--field-artistref-nid-1.tpl.php', having FileZilla sort them differently from explorer is annoying.

In the preferences, "Transfers > Maximum simultaneous transfers" is limited to only 10. I have a connection with 30Mbps of upload capacity and often upload large numbers of files. At the present time, 10 connections seems to cap out at about 16Mbps of combined bandwidth, based on my activity monitor. I'd like to be able to dedicate at least 20 connections to help saturate my available bandwidth instead of being limited to only 10 connections.

PS: I've been using FileZilla for a few months and it's great. In fact, I recently donated $25 as a "thank you" for the time it has saved me.

Different file queues depending on which connection tab is being used.

I think it would be cool to be able to download files from multiple ftp connections at the same time.

There are two ways to reproduce this bug.

First way: Reconnect to server with site-specific bookmarks right after launching FileZilla.

Second way: Have the server with the bookmarks in one tab, then connect to a different server with no bookmarks in another tab. Close the server with no bookmarks.

Master Passwords similar to Firefox etc should be part of any application that stores information of a personal nature. Not as the end all of security solutions that will prevent login information from being compromised, but rather a part of the process to help secure information safely.

While it is easy to argue there is no security ever good enough if you are compromised (which is the argument I have seen so far) it doesnt really take a big picture look at either the request or the argument against it. Arguing that more casual methods to prevent password snooping does not help if a system is compromised is no different than arguing that a compromised system wont log your keystrokes when you manually enter your password.

The big picture view would be that a master password allows a layer of protection from the casual browser who may use my computer while I am on vacation from work, or at lunch, or many other times I am away from my desk. Sure they could install something to keylog, but they could do that even if there is not a master password.

However, it DOES provides a layer of protection from the opportunistic person who is just poking around for fun and might be enticed by something they see, but never take the next step of full on hacking.

From the amount of resistance against something like this, it must be pretty hard to implement but maybe someone is around now who might have an interest in this feature.

Anyway, I personally would like to have something like this in place, think others might too.

In practice, create a file on the server is quite annoying, and it's a very common operation.

Would be great to have an option to create a file on the server that creates a temporary file on the local machine with the name specified by the user, upload it to the server and delete it from the local machine. That's what I do by hand so far.

This option can also be useful on the local side.

I sometimes transfer files via (S)FTP to a computer on our LAN and the files can be huge, like 2GB. Forgetting about the default generic speed limit you set for Servers on Internet means transferring such file (on LAN) takes a month at worst, so being able to set the speed limits per Server on their profile would get the file transferred. Also if this feature would get into FZ, quick connecting to a Server should ask you whether you want to input speed limits.

I recently changed file associations for my PHP files and FileZilla doesnt seem to recognize the association change. I use to be able to right click and open PHP files just fine but since the old programs deletion and file assocation change I can't right click and open my PHP files from FileZilla any more. Please see the attached picture for the error / message that I am getting.

In ticket #2026, the last comment states, "The next version of FileZilla 3 will be able to calculate the timezone of the server automatically."

I'm using Filezilla Client 3.2.8.1 on Windows XP SP2 to connect to Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.4 (RedHat Linux Kernel 2.6) servers.

I and the servers are located in the same timezone (in fact, in the same city).

Before the switch to Daylight Saving Time, the time displayed in Filezilla for new files matched the time displayed on my PC and the time displayed for the file when viewed directly on the server.

Since the time change last weekend, we have found that the time displayed by Filezilla is 1 hour later than the the PC time at the time of saving and with the last modification time as displayed when viewed directly on the server.

The server and the PC times still match.

Reproducing this bug involves very subtle steps. Long story short, files can accidentally be renamed to the names of other files that had been clicked on.

If you click on the name of a file, then a cursor appears for typing a new name. If you then double-click a folder icon to change directories, sometimes when you switch to the new directory the renaming cursor will still be visible and showing the name of the file from the previous directory. If you then click off the file to turn off renaming, a file in the new directory will be renamed to the name of the file from the previous directory.

Expected results: click on headers of transfer queue and the list should sort on that column

Actual results: click on the headers shows a mouse down, but list does not sort.

I though this was fixed in an earlier release, but I can't find it now. This bug was not present in the last version I was using (I don't remember which version it was).

Hello everybody I had private keys for SFTP configuration. When I had 5 keys, all the connexions where OK. If I add a 6th private key, the others connexions ( non SFTP ) doesn't work anymore. The message is :

Server sent disconnect message type 2 (protocol error): "Too many authentication failures for xxxxxx" If i Delete the 6th key, it works.

The version is Filezilla 3.3.2.1

On Windows 7 x64, the FileZilla main window, after connect to an ftp server, doesnt redraw correctly.

Hi: As it is now, when deleting a Filezilla file, a window pops up and on the window are the words, "Really delete 1 file?" It would be great if when deleting a file the pop up window said, "Really delete Horses.gif?" (The Horses.gif is just an example) With "Really delete 1 file?" it's easy to make a mistake and delete a file that is important and was never intended to be deleted. Thank you Norm Augustinus

Pretty much what I described here: ​http://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=16418 (+tnx to boco for his comment) FEATURE REQUEST: When transmitting a file that already exists, you get the overwrite/skip/etc dialog, with the option "Always use this action", and sub-options "Apply to current queue only" and "Apply only to uploads" (or only to downloads if you're downloading). How about adding another sub-option: "Remember for this tab", which would remember the action for the current tab only (i.e. until I close the tab or entire program). Or perhaps make it "Remember for this tab/server", i.e. it should also forget the action when I connect to a different server within the same tab. This would be REALLY handy when I'm connected to a server, and drag some files in there every few minutes (which happens quite often when I'm incrementally updating a site or server or backing up stuff or whatever). I hope you will consider adding this... It would definitely make my life easier and I'd love FileZilla even more!

I love using FileZilla, but we are not allowed to use it at work because there is no way to disable moving of non-empty folders. Is there any way to incorporate this into FileZilla? This would be most helpful for developers that handle many websites and don't want to worry about accidentally moving an entire website into another directory.

However, I have FileZilla Client Version: 3.3.3 Build date: 2010-06-13 and while there is synchronized folder *navigation*, there doesn't seem to be folder/file synchronizing - at least not anyplace where I can find a setting to do so

Action: I have 2 tabs open to different areas of the same remote site, and the same local folder. I refresh the file listing

Expected behavior: The local listing refreshes in both tabs to reflect the current state

Actual behavior: The local listing only updates in the current tab.

the stop/resume transfer queue (the "Q" icon) works, but what about adding a "pause" button? pause means: complete actual transfer, then stop the queue.

Is it possible, without removing the item from the queue, to set a "Don't transfer" priority/status to a certain item, directly as option with a right click on the item in queue?

The queue items are shown in columns: local and remote file, direction, size, priority, etc. It would be nice if you can sort the queue by a click on the column's title: click on "size" and items are shown in ascending order by size, another click and order is descending. It's only a layout request: order won't influence priority status.

Please provide an option for monitoring and automatically uploading "remote" files edited locally without a prompt. Currently, the user must confirm each upload individually. We wouldn't be editing "remote" files if we didn't want them uploaded back!
