Regardless whether or not Filezilla is the application in focus or not, the windows shortcut Windows Key (Which in its self is Ctrl + Esc) + the M key minimizes all windows except Filezilla. It seems the filezilla just seems to be switching itself to no longer being in focus rather than minimizing.

Version 3.0.0 Bug seen on windows XP Pro SP2, and Vista Home Premium Edition, other windows verions not tested.

Using FileZilla client v3 or 2.x.x you can't access nor delete directories starting with a space character (i.e. " mydir") even if they are visible in tree view.

As of 2.2.4, the FileZilla client is not connecting to the specified default remote directory of any site entered in the Site Manager. It was working fine with the last version.

I have two completely different sites, and neither will connect to the specified default remote directory.

Note that it will still successfully look up the specified default local directory.

I attached a log that shows what happens, or rather what doesn't: It should connect to the default directory (/www/) that I specified in the site's entry in Site Manager.

If you're deleting several thousand files from a remote directory, and they are still selected in the remote view pane, the CPU usage remains at 100% and the files are deleted at a rate of about one every two seconds. If you click in the remote pane and deselect all of the files, they start deleting as fast as the server can handle it.

Must be some bug in the window pane code, maybe it's in Windows itself, but a workaround would be to automatically deselect the files if there are more than a certain number of them being deleted and the directory they're being deleted from is the one displayed in the remote pane.

The remote site directory freezes at certain times. It takes a disconnect and reconnect to function normally again.

Oddly enough, you can drag and drop files from the local site to the remote site and they transfer, but no update occurs on the server site directory listing.

This one should be pretty simple. Here's a log that should pretty much explain it all:

Response: 226 Transfer complete. Status: Download successful Status: Disconnected from server [When I returned, I dragged some directories from the remote pane to the local one to download them, then this...] Status: Retrieving directory listing... So instead of connecting to the server, *then* sending CWD and proceeding to get the directory listings, it just failed and sat there.

Found in FileZilla client 2.2.3:

If there is a folder that begins with a tilde symbol (~) with other alphabetically-named folders,

• it will appear at or near the top of the treeview, and
• it will appear at or near the bottom of the file list.

I attached a screenshot showing an example in the local pane, though I first noticed it in the remote pane (so it happens in both).

If FZ gets a timeout while waiting for a directory listing, it fails and then sits there doing nothing. It should reconnect and retry the directory listing.

This is quite frustrating if you're trying to replicate a directory/file structure on a server. If the server is busy (or a piece-of-junk Windows server), and freezes up instead of sending the directory listing the first time, FZ will just fail and sit there. Then when you come back and notice, you have to delete the entire queue and start the whole queueing-up of files all over again. You waste time with FZ doing nothing, and more time downloading the same directory listings over again.

It seems like it should be pretty simple for FZ to reconnect and retry directory listings, just like it does with downloads and uploads.

Plz add support for transferring files with their names encoded in EUC (Japanese) for transferring files with an ftp server on a UNIX machine. Would be nice if this could be done per site in the advanced section of site configuration.

Hi I asked for a new feature which I understand you had included in the new release I downloaded today. I.e. when updating a large file / files I wanted fZ to close itself afterwards automatically. However after setting this option FZ kept closing itself. The new feature would allow FZ to be set to CLOSE ONCE only.

I tried it out now and could not activate any of the options in the drop down menue. I.e. only NONE works.

Small bug I am sure.

Hopefully this will be fixed asap as this new feature is GREAT and will be used by me and others a lot.

The X icon (close tab) in any given tab is HUGE. It used to be tiny, but now it's nearly as tall as the tab itself.

It seems to have happened within the last few stable versions, though I don't know exactly which one. I first noticed it in January 2023 and thought it would be fixed in a later update, but it hasn't changed.

In Settings, I have tried adjusting the theme and theme scaling, but that didn't affect this icon. I've also tried different interface layouts and gone through every setting I can find, but no dice.

Steps to reproduce: Open multiple connection tabs, look at X icon on tabs.

If a child directory is highlighted and you click on the - icon in the parent directory to close the parent directory, it highlights but does not close. If you click on the - icon of the parent directory while it is highlighted, it will close.

When you have at least 2 tabs, there is a little cross on the right side of the tab, presumably to close the tab. But when you click on it, it doesn't work. The tab can be right clicked to be closed.

This bug is present in Filezilla client version 3.12.0.2 on GNU/Linux plateform (Archlinux). I can't reproduce it on Mac OS X.

When transfering a directory structure from an FTP sever which supports colons (:) in file and directory names to a Windows system, the colon in file names get replaced by a _, but colons in directory names do NOT get replaced, resulting in the error "Could not open the local file <filename>" and "Download failed" when trying to transfer.

With version 3.0.0:

Downloading files with colons in their names from environments that allow such things to an environment like windows that does not results in unexpected behavior.

Reproduce: Have four files named '4:30.jpg' through '4:33.jpg', and try transferring them to a Windows machine. The result will be a single empty file with name '4'.

In the progress bars that appear when uploading/downloading, it appears that the windows "highlight" color is used for the bar itself.

The percent (as text) seems to be using the windows foreground color. When the highlight passes over the text, the text seems to to white.

The problem with this is that if the user uses a light color for the highlight, it becomes difficult (if not impossible) to see the text.

Ideally, if the highlight color is used for the bar, then the Windows foreground color should be used as the text. (The idea here is the user will have already picked colors that have good contrast.)

The rule here should be that if using a color from the windows scheme for one part of a control, then windows colors should be used consistantly throughout the rest of the control.

It good be great to customize the Tab name and tab color of your favourites sites, specially for people who works in different environments.

It's a geat way to distinct in which tab you are.

FileZilla does not save the widths of columns in either the remote or local panes.

Every time I restart FileZilla and connect it sets the column widths back to default. And the default wastes tremendous space in the date, time, and permissions columns, resulting in horizontal scroll bars. Every time I have to manually change the column widths back, which is annoying.

This has been around since 1.6 or before, and it doesn't seem like it should be hard to add. It would be VERY helpful.

In filezilla 3.2.2.1 x86-64-pclinux-gnu build date 20090227 compiled with gcc 4.3.3 with flags -g -O2 -Wall -g -fexceptions from the ubuntu repos, the two filebrowsing windows' column bars, those draggable bars to reveal more or less of the file name, modification date, filesize, filetype etc are not visible. I can still mouse over where they should be and click and drag them to reveal more or less of a filename though.

In FZ 3.2.8 under WinXP SP3, if I right-click on the remote server's column headings (the gray area above the current directory's file listing that reads Filename | Filesize | Filetype | etc.), check all six boxes, then use the Move Up/Move Down buttons to move Permissions to any position other than the fifth, the column headings move as requested, but the data in the column do not. So, for example, if I exchange Permissions (which was originally in fifth position) with Last Modified (which was originally in fourth position), the Last Modified information shows up in the new Permissions column (which is now in fourth position, where Last Modified was before the exchange), and the Last Modified column contents (now in fifth position) are blank (except for the header). Also, sorting of the date-last-sorted data in the "Permissions" column no longer works properly. Restoring the column headings to their original positions fixes all problems, but of course this defeats the purpose of having the column heading portability feature in the first place.

I can login to ComCast but it flatly refuses to "LIST" the files. Maybe an active/passive issue. FZ 3.1.5.1 I had the same problem with 3.1.1.1 WS_FTP_LE, NotePad++, FireFox FTP work fine. This only is a problem FTPing to/from ComCast. This is a FZ issue, other FTP clients work fine. I can use FZ to contact GoDaddy and 1and1 with no problem.

Filezilla doesn't support SCP, WinSCP doesn't support FTP.

The WinSCP-Developer stated under ​http://winscp.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=197 that FPT will be included in WinSCP if anyone develops it. As FileZilla is a great existing FTP-Client, why don't exchange the sources among other. FileZilla can be improved with SCP-Suport and WinSCP can be improved with FTP-Support.

I see two tickets concerning Filezilla and Comcast have been closed with the comment that it must be a server issue. I can log on with version 2.1.13a which I've kept around specifically for this purpose, however, none of the 3 builds will.

I'm not real up on ftp, but the one is opening an ASCII connection and the other binary. I've tried forcing ASCII with the transfer menu but it seems to have no effect.

If this is a server issue (no other FTP client fails to list but I do see the child processes message with Firefox) please let me know what it is so I can speak with knowledge to the tech people.

The byte counts are pretty illegible when non-trivial files are involved, because they are long strings of unseparated digits changing rapidly.

Separating them with commas would make them legible, which would make them so much more useful.

Filezilla-Client: 3.0.9.2: PASV-Mode On long-term single-file Data-Connections for up/download, the Command-Connection may time-out. Thats OK. The Bug is: This brings down the actual PUT of a really huge file. But in the case of a running upload/download there is no need for a open command-connection, FileZilla should detect the time-out and show it on screen, but dont bring down actual up/downloads!

Program Procedure; Startup FileZilla Process Queue "c:\myqueue.xml"

Result; In combination with the build in Scheduling Program in Windows, a scheduled transfer can be done.

User Instructions;

1. Build a Queue in FileZilla
2. Export Queue to a xml file.
3. Go to the Windows Control panel and find the

Schedule program there, and add the above command, and schedule the tranfer to whenever. Close and forget, the computer do the rest.

FileZilla 3 isn't correctly accepting the command-line parameters that FileZilla 2 did.

If the command line could accept [dir]\*.* to upload files from, my problems would be solved! Or if only single-directory uploading was possible, the same would be accomplished.

I could see this benefiting a lot of people who want to automate FTP uploading. I do it for backups after creating a RAR volume set. Thanks for a great program!

Could you please, if appropriate command line arguments are provided, NOT pop up Site Manager.

A side effect of which is it is off trying to connect, and failing, but one has to have the presence of mind to kill the site manager in order to get to the stop symbol.

Or, provide an option that avoids Site Manager (letting one immediately to Quick Connect).

This is a request for a command line argument to prevent checks for updates when Filezilla launches.

I'm using FileZilla in a setting where users don't have admin privileges. Consequently, the automated check for updates isn't very useful. The user can click the notification box's "Install new version" button, but the installer can't proceed.

We use a number of scripts to launch FileZilla from the command line with the <FTP URL> option.

We'd also like to be able to set the local folder from the command line when stating FileZilla.

Maybe something like: filezilla --loc="C:\temp\site1" ​ftp://username:password@server1 filezilla --loc="C:\temp\site2" ​ftp://username:password@server2

Would be great if I could invoke Filezilla from command line to do some copy, e. g. like following:

To backup some files: filezilla.exe --copy "MyConnection" /backups/*.* e:\backups\

Or to publish files: filezilla.exe --copy "MyConnection" e:\website\*.* /cygdrive/c/inetpub/wwwroot/

filezilla.exe" -c "0/MyFTPSiteEntry" doesn't function or is ignored after upgrading to build 3.35.1 from 3.33.0.

When starting Filezilla sftp sessions using command-line, a feature to force Filezilla to interactively prompt in dialog for user and/or password at start. This would be very usefull when starting Filezilla connections from other applications/Infrastructure databases. If for security reasons, you do NOT want to supply the password on the command line or in a site definition.

Currently (v3.2.4.1) Filezilla command-line sftp, if user/password i omitted, Filezilla just tries with empty fields (or anonymous?)

Case 1 Running: "C:\Program Files\FileZilla Client\filezilla.exe" ​sftp://hostname:22 Feature: Filezilla prompts interactively in dialog for user and password.

Case 2 Running: "C:\Program Files\FileZilla Client\filezilla.exe" ​sftp://root@hostname Feature: Filezilla prompts interactively in dialog for password.

Proposed solutions: 1a. Change default connection option to "Interactive" when user and/or password is NOT in command-line 1b. Add argument (ex "-i" for interactive) that force Filezilla to interactively prompt for user/password. (Any command/line supplied user/password could be entered as suggestion)

As of FileZilla 3.19.0, you can click on the Help menu and then click the Check for Updates command.

I have Windows 7 SP1 x64. I keep all my software installs around and I do not always update the setups for my commonly-used programs, since I know those programs have updaters such as the one available from the Help menu of FileZilla. I keep all the various installs, and when I have to format and reinstall my computer, then I just run lots of batch files. So, I have, say, v3.10.0 of FileZilla as the Setup exe from SourceForge currently. I know that I can run the installer silently, which is a real time saver, that makes it possible to "chain" the install with several others via a batch file (*.bat) script.

It would be nice to get the latest update version via the batch script, too; say, maybe on the next line of the script....first line installs FileZilla silently, and then the next line automatically checks for, downloads, and installs FileZilla to the latest update in the next command line.

My thought is to make it possible to say

filezilla.exe -update

and then the program will start, check for updates. If an update is found, do not prompt to click OK, but just passively and automatically download and install the update.

Or, we could do a

-update

command-line parameter to invoke Check for Updates exactly as is from the Help menu, dialog that prompts for OK button click and all, but then add a -silentupdate option (specified by itself) so that the Check for Updates command is run, but if an update is found, the OK button does not have to be clicked, but instead, the update's installer is downloaded and then a silent install is done on it. And the EXE should be waitable when this happens; i.e., I should be able to invoke

filezilla.exe -silentupdate

and be able to "wait" on the process until the whole process is completed, so that I can script this.

I am seeing a recurring issue whereby navigating to a remote folder after initially loading FileZilla client results in the corresponding commands in the command log at the top overwriting the icon toolbar. I have attached a screen capture.

I have two FTP servers that need commands on startup to be useful. Those commands are "site long" for a novell server and "site cyl pri=7 sec=1 lrecl=235 blksize=0 unit=TEST" for a VMS mainframe. These commands are a little long to remember to type in before transferring any files.

As I see, there is not chance to define which command is used for keeping the connection. I'm also using the "total commander" and it's FTP client functionality. There I can set the command to "NOOP", which does - as the command implies - nothing, but traffic. I think it's the best command for keeping the connection.

Command-line arguments for FileZilla Client would really be useful. It seems it would be a very easy straightforward feature to program (transferring from version 2). Is it not installed because FileZilla 3 is multi-platform? Is FileZilla written in C++? Is there anyway I can help put this feature in place?

Command-line argument (-c, --site=<string>) not working since upgrade to 3.35.0. Client does not Connect to specified Site Manager site, it just opens as if no arguments were specified. All works as it used to when I downgrade to 3.34.0

Hi, today we can't use -s with -d or -u options. Being able to use -d or -u along with site manager name will highly automate file transfers and make this a powerful command line tool too IpSwitch WS_Ftp and Reflection ftp have this feature.

I have a tool which should call FileZilla client with a pre-determined site manager, and filenames to be downloaded, automatically !

filezilla.exe -s "mysite1" -d <source> <target>

I barely know how to upload files, but have been doing that through you for a while and all was going fine until recently when I updated my version of FileZilla. I keep getting error messages, such as "Failed to retrieve directory listing", and can't connect to my website(s)on my main computer. I called GoDaddy for help, and they thought it might be my browser or firewall, but nothing changed and I don't think that's it. Then I tried to upload via my laptop, which had an older version of FileZilla, and it worked fine. I asked my friend who told me about FileZilla a few years ago, and he suggested I report the issue, because maybe no one else has noticed it. I can't imagine that I'd be the only one, but don't know what else to do. Here is the message I've been getting: " Status: Connecting to 160.153.59.0:21... Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message... Status: Initializing TLS... Status: Verifying certificate... Status: TLS connection established. When displaying file sizes (both local and remote) in bytes, could you add commas when then sizes are formatted? E.g., show "1,234,567" rather than "1234567"? In Windows, I believe you can ask the system for the symbol, and display "1.234.567" or "1 234 567" in countries where appropriate.

It's nice to have the possibility to add comments to each ftp site, however they don't seem to stick, neither when just clicking in another site nor when exiting with the Save and Exit option.

Would it be possible to use the more common Windows local treeview in FileZilla instead of just the local drives? Imo navigation to files would go a bit faster if e.g. Desktop, My Document and My Network Places are included in the treeview. Now My Computer is the root of the treeview but it would be highly appreciated if Desktop is going to be used as the root.

There could have functions to compare folders and files based on size, date and/or contents...

Rather than have the option of 'compare filesize' or 'compare modification time' could there be the option of 'compare filesize' and 'compare modification time'?

Would it be possible to add another option to the 'View - Directory Comparison' menu or change the action from 'or' (by only being able to select one option at a time) to being able to select both together?

A command for compare local and remote directories will be usefull.

Such a comparison may be limited to the files size.

Hi, I think that one of the most useful feature of a FTP client is the "Compare directories" one : when applying it, it selects the files that don't have the same size, or the same name in the two explorers (the local one and the server one). It permits not to know which files you have to update on your server. I hope you can understand me, I'm a 18-years-old frenchman :)

I have a client with over 120,000 jpeg files that I backup to a local drive. It seems to take to long for FileZilla to determine if a file exists or not. I can do a CURL search of both directories and then a compare in lest than 8 seconds. If I just let Filezilla determine if a file already exists it takes over two hours to complete. Is there a better way to go? For some reason the dates displayed are not always accurate if a file has been replaced on the server.

A user must continuously refresh both local and remote directory to see if any changes have been made, even if the file has been overwritten.

Simple refresh when files have been uploaded can fix the problem or having a timer execute every minute or so?

There is a problem that present for a long time - FTP client built in TotalCommander have bad compatibility with current FileZilla server - it may sometimes show empty folders that are full of files or drop filetransfer after random file.

It loks like appeared from some FileZilla server update near 2 years ago. I'm not sure what is source of a problem, FileZilla server log not helpful in this case too. Also I'm not even sure that problem is on TotalCommander side or FileZilla server side (but official FileZilla client have no problems with same server). What I know - it not depends on connection way (SSL or normal, passive or not), but depends on client side - there is more prolems when client is an old slow PC and/or slow internet connection. From server side - there is more chance for interrupted transfer, if try to download a folder with a lot of small files (real example - saved webpages with all their resources/images/scripts)

Closing ticket as it must be a client-side issue, there is nothing in the server log that matches the described symptoms.

I'm seeing the compliation error below starting with filezilla client 3.37.3. 3.37.1 compiles just fine. See the attached file for the full log.

Removing the apostrophe compilation is successful in my case.

commandqueue.cpp/.h are in lower case while Mainfrm.cpp tries to #include it as CommandQueue.h

In Windows, this is fine, but on UNIX, this fails.

Compilations fails in engine/proxy.cpp with undefined references to AF_INET and SOCK_STREAM due to missing #include sys/socket.h.

=gnutls-2.7.0 no longer defines the macro AM_PATH_LIBGNUTLS or distributes gnutls-config that filezilla uses to identify version (via libgnutls.m4).

pkg-config is the replacement that has been distributed by gnutls at least in version 2.2.5.

I'll attach a patch to use PKG_CHECK_MODULES instead, tested with gnutls-2.7.8 and gnutls-2.6.6, please review

When compiling FileZilla Client 3.1.6 in HP-UX 11.X, there are a fair number of fussy compiler warnings from HP's C++ compiler (plus a link failure that I've documented in a separate bug). I've attached the output from the build so that you can look through the warnings and decide if any of them need fixing (the trailing comma in an enum warning is an easy fix). The output is from a PA-RISC HP-UX 11.11 machine using HP's latest C++ compiler (A.03.85) and is after I've fixed any build issues mentioned in the recent bugs I filed for HP-UX 11.X.

Compiling FZ Server (0.9.10a) with Visual C++ 2005 Express Beta Edition.

Due to future changes in the compiler, i.e. Visual C++ 2005, default type "int" is no longer implied and must be declared. "error C4430: missing type specifier - int assumed. Note: C++ does not support default-int"

The interface does not compile due to missing MFC header files that I have not been able to locate. So far afxdhtml.h is causing a fatal error: This is probably due to the beta version.

You’ll probably want to keep this new coding standard in mind while you're writing updates etc, to avoid this error at a later date.

This seems to appear in conjunction with #1191004, but not neccessarily. I use windows XP and FileZille (some versions, also 2.2.14b) completely crash windows XP (can't move mouse, pressing numlock does not change anything). At the moment I have to use a different FTP Client as this is not a state to work with :( Just let my know if you need further information from me.

Currently you can only hide the local tree view. I don't use the local section. I only use the remote section and drag & drop.

Is there a way to hide the entire local section? It's extra space that I could use.

I'd like to use filezilla to connect to a server via ISDN and transfer with compression enabled. I use this option a lot when using SCP and it makes a huge difference.

I think I can see some of what is needed and if you could give me a pointer i'll have a go myself (though I haven't got filezilla to compile yet, i dont have the include file dbghelp.h).

In the options Compression i would like to see that i can tell filezilla what files be not compressed (like archivs, mp3 ore exe files) all other can be compressed. i think compressing archivs etc is not a good idea, but files such doc,txt, xls files can be good compressed.

Using FileZilla 3.1.2

While uploading files to the xbox on the local network, the computer restarts. This error first occurred with version 3.1.1.1 and since then, it has been updated and the problem persists. It did give an error message of being unable to read the filezilla.xml file, so after checking this and seeing that it was empty, with a file size of 7.41kb, I deleted it and reinstalled. The private data has been cleared, all previous settings have been cleared. Any help would be appreciated. Failing this, I will use another FTP client, which is something I would rather avoid.

Ever since I updated to 3.52.x I noticed that my usual concurrent file transfers crash (reboot) my 2019 Macbook Air. This happens around 6-7 times out of 10. I usually d/load large file archives using 3 concurrent transfers. Other usage during file transfers is minimal, as I usually leave it running overnight. This never used to be an issue < 3.52.x and I have downloaded a trial version of Transit to confirm that indeed it does not happen with that software. What is immediately noticeable is that transferring files with 3.52.x, the fans of my machine start blowing a few minutes into the transfer, and don't stop until the transfer is done. I will downgrade to 3.51.x as a temporary measure.

Please let me know if I need to do anything to provide more information.

Would like to be able to define the directory path for the logfile(s) rather than defaulting to "Logs" under the install directory. Additionally, define the template for the filename(s). The template substitutions might be as follows:

%Y - 4 digit year %y - 2 digit year %m - 2 digit month %d - 2 digit day of month %w - 2 digit week of month

Example template - my_ftp_logfile_%Y%m%d.log

If you use FileZilla.xml instead of the registry to store site information the location of the file FileZilla.xml is fixed in the install dir of FileZilla.

It would be nice to be able to specify a location yourself.

In that way we could use a central FileZilla.xml file for all FileZilla users. So we can all use the same settings...

When running the configuration wizard, the text on the final results page after running the text do not wrap and overflow off the display window.

Using FileZillaPortable 3.0.8.1 downloaded 03/19/08 from PortableApps.com on a Toshiba Satellite P205D-S7438 running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit OS. Firewall is part of Windows Live One Care. Internet connection is Qwest DSL through an ethernet hub and ActionTec DSL modem/gateway.

In the Edit/settings dialog connection section is a configuration wizard. I ran it multiple times with the same failure each time. I chose passive transfer mode with allow fallback selected. I next selected to use the servers external IP address. On the next page I first chose to ask the operating system for the external IP address, then during test faze I got the following log: Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready USER FileZilla Response: 331 Give any password. PASS 3.0.8.1 Response: 230 logged on. Checking for correct external IP address IP 192.168.0.5 bjc-bgi-a-f Response: 510 Mismatch. Your IP is 63.224.228.18, gd-cce-cci-bi Wrong external IP address Connection closed

I then restarted the wizard and chose to use the reported IP address of 63.224.228.18 and selected "ask operating system for a port". Next page was the test section where we connected to probe.filezilla-project.org This was the log: Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready USER FileZilla Response: 331 Give any password. The final wizard page advised me that the server sent an unrecognized reply and asked me to check for latest version (using 3.0.8.1)and submit a bug report. This is it ;)

Is this a problem with my firewall not allowing the port connection? I also tried selecting to use port range 6000 - 7000 (default sugestion), and configured the firewall to allow incoming tcp/udp protocols in that port range for FileZilla. This returned the following end message: LIST Response: 150 opening data connection Connection closed

In every case there was a long pause after the "Response: 150 opening data connection" line, then failure!

The above log copies came directly from the wizard as the FileZilla client was not actively doing anything to create a message list. (I set degugging to verbose level but did not see any output)

I have loved FileZilla in the past and would really like to use it more if we can get it communicating.

Could this be a bug caused by the PortableApps modification maybe? Unlikely I'd guess, but you guys are the experts not me :)

Configuration files are not shown anymore. I created a file .text. It is not shown. I tried to create again. I get the message, file already exists.

Double-clicking a file always transfers the file, where, if I'm not mistaken, in FZ 2.x the behavior was configurable to either:

1) Do nothing 2) Transfer the file 3) Open/view the file 4) Add file to queue

This would help those users that are so used to double-clicking a file to open/edit (like myself) and prevent accidental up/downloads.

I would hope that this feature would be re-implemented so that we can configure local and remote behavior separately. For instance, double-click on local does nothing, where double-click on remote opens/views the file.

On a system with IMSecure or IMSecure Pro loaded, FileZilla will not connect out even in passive mode unless libeay32.dll is renamed to a different file extension.

Filezilla version: 3.0.11 for Windows Op.Sys: Windows XP Connecting to a WIndows server (Win 2000 server).

The remote directory tree makes very little sense. It seems to be mixing forward slashes (/) and back slashes (\) in the path.

Note, this went wrong on version 3.0.11, but was working perfectly on versions up to and including 3.0.10.

1) Right click a local file and chose "Edit". 2) Make a change to this file. 3) Switch back to FileZilla. 4) On the prompt whether to upload the file check "Finish editing and delete local file". 5) Answer with "Yes" or "No". This does not seem to matter.

To my understanding the local file is the file I chose for editing. However, this file is still there afterwards. I am not sure what the expected behavior in this case is. Personally I like the current one, but I am confused by the option saying the file will be removed.

It's a minor detail, but the fact that the login type is BELOW the fields where you type in your username and password in the site manager is slightly counter- intuitive. When adding a new entry to the site manager, you generally want to fill the information in the dialog from the top-down. If you want to use a non-anonymous login, you have to first go DOWN to where you can define login type, then back UP to type in your logon information.

It seems silly, but try doing it with the keyboard and no mouse. It makes the error even more evident.

I can connect to my web site just fine if I use Quick Connect. I put in the site ftp.blablabla.com the user name xxxxxxx the password xxxxx and port 990 hit connect and everything works fine.

When I try the exact same connect using the site manager with the exact same information it will not connect? I have triple checked all my login information and started from scratch many times with this new version, all to no avail.

This exact same login using the site manager worked just fine for a long time with older versions. So either I am doing something wrong, and I don't know what that is, or something has changed that has broken the File Manager for me.
