2. Such files are sometimes downloaded with correct names, and sometimes not. For example: /pub/modules/Ad Lib/AdLib Tracker 2/Nula/gummi björnarna.a2m or gummi björnarna.a2m . I have tried downloading them twice, and I have two versions now.

3. Yet more serious problems have been spotted with ANSI-named files in non-ANSI named folders. Example: /pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Roger Skagerström/time files away.xm (note "o umlaut")or /pub/modules/Maniacs Of Noise Old/Johannes Bjerregård/tusker title.xm (note "a ring" that is not even prestnt in Windows 1250 codepage used on my OS in its native version). Such a file is listed as unsuccessful transfer, or the file can be downloaded with no contents (i.e. it is 0 bytes long on my computer). Files like those are not listed as errors, so the only way to find them is to check your disk manually, searching for zero-length files.

4. Sometimes the FileZilla behaviour is even destructive. I can download the file like in point 2 manually (e.g. with a browser) and place it in the right place in the folder tree on my disk. When I run FileZilla and set it to download only files that differs in length or are newer, then it replace the correct file with a new version of 0 bytes length. In other words, FileZilla works destructively - destroys good files with bad ones. It seems that FileZilla tries to download such files even if they are neither newer nor with different size - and because the downloaded file is 0 bytes long, the program treats it as a different length.

5. FileZilla is completely helpless with files whose names start from a dot. Examples: "/pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Walkah/. s e.xm" or even mor bizarre: "/pub/modules/Fasttracker 2/Cosmic Eclipse/. . . - - - . . .xm" - it is good that FileZilla can see this file at all (ex. Mozilla Firefox cannot see them), but it is bad that FileZilla cannot download them under any conditions. To tell the truth, I have no program that would do it. All I can to obtain such strange-named-files is to use mirrors like ​http://ftp.amigascne.org/cgi-bin/search_archive.cgi - but I would like to download them with FileZilla.

I am using Filezilla 2.2.27 and looking into a folder containing the filename pay_by_day_KD.pdf. I have a client who is using Filezilla 3.1.3. When they look into the exact same folder, the same file is shown with the filename "PAY_~JVF.PDF"

Do you know what could be causing this discrepancy in the filename between our two versions?

I've been using Filezilla since mouting my website, but have lost my password and cannot reset

Using FileZilla 3.2.4.1 in WinXP(SP3). I'm connecting to site (MVS z/OS) to retrieve a file. This file contains Norwegian characters (Ö,Ü & Ä) being converted to junk values after FTP with FileZilla Client. In DOS scripts, its not changed due to "Quote site SBDATACONN=(IBM277,ISO8859-1)" command. I've tried similar charsets(ISO8859-1,CP1250, windows-1250 etc) in FileZilla but it still fails. Please investigate.

It is not connecting to any site. I have several. I have not changed any configuration. They ALL worked the last time I used FileZilla (prior version) which was yesterday.

In a filter, I specified: to be excluded if it "contains" a "~".

I have several DIRECTORIES named ".../UBS~/..." or ".../~Stuff/..." which the filter is not excluding. I also tried "begins with" and "ends with", but neither of those seem to work either.

When running the firewall and router configuiration wizard the final step "opening connection" fails and settings are not saved.

I keep on getting a critical error and could not connect to server error. I have tried resubmitting my password a few times and closing FileZilla. But nothing is working.

I am using the most current Filezilla version. I transferred the file 1harry.html onto my Website ​http://www.igs.net/~awhp. The file 1harry.html shows 1,190 as the file size from my computer files and 0 when I upload it to the site. I double click on 1harry.html to upload and get the window twice "Target file already exists," with action as "Overwrite" since I'm attempting to upload an updated version of 1harry.html. The transfer starts at Queued Files, looks like it's transferring with the numbers increasing. The message at the bottom says,"Failed transfers(1) and the message "Could not start transfer." Before, the upload would say successful but show the new file size as 0. I have checked the forums and attempted all the recommendations listed but without success. This issue has been ongoing for three weeks.

I just encountered an error where FileZilla repeatedly tries to transfer a file but it says it fails. I only noticed the problem on a handful of files.

The ftp server is pure-ftpd 1.0.36-1.1 running on Debian.

When logging in to the system, everybody on my team gets the error I've posted below. For the host we enter 10.96.13.149. For the user ID and PW we enter dtftp. We then click on quickconnect and this is what happens:

When switching between multiple certs in a chain, the text appears to overlap text from the previously viewed cert, making it difficult to read.

With current Filezilla 3.9.0.2, drag & drop files to the Desktop doesn't work. The attached error dialog is shown.

Couldn't find the destination of the drag & drop operation. Either you don't have the shell extension installed properly or you haven't dropped the files to an explorer window.

After this, I reinstalled the whole FileZilla Client and double checked that the shell extensions are beeing installed as well, but the error stays!

Dear Sirs,

Filezilla seems to install the update in normal operating mode but every time i close the app and then open it again it want's to upgrade to version current. this installation is accepted for the duration of the usage but when the program is closed and opened again the update is no longer active.

Although, when you run it in Admin mode it works well.

PS; you guys are really kidding when you have the reams and reams of information how to submit a fault report? Do you really think people are going to read all that to fix a fault? It's easier to get a different product.... Please consider.

Hello, when using the Automatic Transfer Mode FileZilla corrupts *.jar % *.rar files with no extension. I think FileZilla removed the CR (only one was present). He tried to repair things where no repair was needed. Using the Binary Transfer Mode fixes this.

I have been experiencing an error lately when I attempt to drop files into folders that are intended to replace outdated files. Perhaps some context will help...

We operate an online storefront for Neighborhood Health Plan. They have thousands of products which are identified by product codes. For example, one item might be labeled "11020". Each product has a thumbnail and full sized image which we drop into a directory in Filezilla, which we pull from when "creating the product". Thumbnail images have a _2 suffix, with _1 for the full sized image.

Now, lets say they print a new version of 11020 with new graphics, new colors, etc.. In this case we would need to create and drop in new thumbnails. So I would Scale and crop the image, save as 11020_1 and 11020_2, and drop it into the appropriate directory. When I do this, I see a prompt asking me If I want to replace the existing files with these new ones. I click yes to replace, but the file never gets swapped out. I find that the only option I have is to change the suffix to _T and _F for the new file to be available.

There are several other ramifications for this replace file bug, but I figured this was the easiest way to describe it.

При загрузке файлов содержащие изображения с операционной системы windows 7 на хостинг используюя ftp FileZilla Client, изображения загружаются битыми(плохими)файлами. Изменения кодировки не дает нужных результатов.

Но если использовать программу Тотал командер на системе windows xp, файлы загружаются без ошибок, целостность не изменяется.

Попробую прикрепить набор скриншотов к этому сообщению. В нем более подробно изображена проблемма с загружаемыми файлами.

In previous versions you could select multiple files and copy ALL the URL information to the clipboard using <Copy URL(s) to Clipboard> by right mouse clicking.

For some reason the latest version for both Windows and OSX will only copy one URL.

Please fix this bug as this is a very useful function to be able to copy more than one URL at at time.

Clicking on files (or directories) after connection has timed out.

This is happening on the LATEST stable version. Please test issues before closing them! It's always a good option :)

I have used this for many years and not had a problem. \Uploaded file last weekend and again today and they show that they successfully transferred on Filezilla but they are not updated on the live site. BTW - I tried to do a ticket and kept getting a message that kkwestling@… wasn't registered. THe option to "Upload/overwrite if src file newer" is not memorized when selected to memorize (during dialog prompt).

• This only works if "Settings" > "Transfers" > "File exists action" is set accordingly
• Still then the "newer" property seems not to be checked correctly, as you can now overwrite again and again without changing the src file. --> Should only be possible once after it was changed!

I upload new images to my web site and for the past few months new images appear on the incorrect page. I use Microsoft Frontpage and that is all I use for the web site. I delete incorrect images and try over but they keep getting mixed up and loaded onto incorrect pages

#1. I have seeing that some files are not getting transferred to point B from A, but the failure is not written in the filzilla log. There is no mention of the fact the transfer never happened.

#2. Some of the files being transferred are being "renamed" by filzilla. For example, if I have a filed named, audience.jpg. when Filzilla transfer to from a server to a server, it changes the name to Audience.jpg. How do I stop it from doing that?

I am finding that files are not copied from one server to another. I would have never know that files were missing in the transfer if I didn't run setfacl on the files transferred. Setfacl uses a list generated from getfacl on prod as input. This input list is use to compare against what is transferred so permissions can be set.

What doesn't filzilla show me the files/directories that don't get transferred for whatever reason?

FileZilla can't log in to server. Log in failed, because FileZilla have a big bugs. We have try with 6 Servers and with another FTP Client. Only FileZille Client is not works....

I am trying to connect my website to FTP server but cannot do so. My website is hosted on the wordpress hosting I want to access my .httaccess file and other directories so initially I was receiving a message of 'time out' so I changed the time limit but I am receiving this Status: Connection attempt failed with "ETIMEDOUT - Connection attempt timed out".

mesmo colocando nomes CNAME como ftp.uol.com.br o sistema nao reconhece a conexao pois o retorno ao fazer ping no endereco retorna um endereco IPV6

Each time I attempt to install the latest version this is blocked by a message which says:- 'C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\filezilla.xml~' could not be removed (error 5: access is denied.) but Search fails to find this file ??

Before version update I was able to use "Alt key" to select non-adjacent files for group uploads. After update this no longer functions.

If I edit a local file selecting it from "Local site" pane, when I save the local file, Filezilla shows an alert box with the message "A file previously opened has been changed" and tries to upload it to the remote server.

I have tried to close Filezilla and open it again but the problem continues.

I have used phpDesigner 8.2 and Sublime Text 3.1.1 to edit the file and the result is the same.

After downloading and uploading back the same file - it's content got messed up. I attached file examples after downloading/uploading.

But it's a little bit tricky: 1) Everything works fine on my previous laptop 2) The bug appears on a completely fresh installed OS with latest FileZilla version 3) The bug doesn't appear when I'm using a different FTP client (WinSCP) on the fresh install.

Hello! I found a critical bug. I was found all my passwords in <USERDIR>/AppDataRoaming/FileZilla/recentservers.xml encrypted in Base64. I think, you should fix it, there is a big security risk!

Got new MacBook Pro and installed latest version 3.44.2. Filezilla worked on my older Macbook Air. Getting "fzsftp could not be started" when I try and connect. I have all the same software I had on my old machine so I am not sure why I cannot connect. I have downloaded a few other FTP clients and they all work but Filezilla. Any help would be appreciated.

Something seems strange with the way the client is handling responses to readdir requests.

I just finished support to handle this kind of client behavior in a SFTP server I am working on but FileZilla does not seem to handle the replies correctly, complaining about wrong request id.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious here but looking at the order of sequence ids send by the client and the order in which the server sends its responses, the listing should end successfully.

The server is closed source so I'm unable to share code or make it available for testing.

I installed the newest version of Filezilla today and ever since I have been unable to contact my ISP server to upload web pages for my customers. I AM DEAD IN THE WATER HERE AND NEED IMMEDIATE RESOLUTION. If there is no fix, how do I re-install the previous version which was working fine as recetnly as this past Saturday?

Ik open het programma en meld dat er een update is. Ik klik op upgrade en hij download juist. Echter bij het installeren loopt het fout omdat een bestand nog in gebruik is van een programma. Begrijpelijk want het programma was nog niet volledig verdwenen.(melding cont..., abord,ingore) Bij het heropenen van het programma werd hij geuninstalleert en even later had ik een directory met niets in . Bij het aanklikken van het uitvoerbaar bestand van de nieuwe versie werd deze juist geinstalleert.

My website is still uploading JPEG files from our employees and the website still displays the JPEG files. However, after 1/14/20 FileZilla no longer displays any JPEG files even though I know these files exist on the webserver. This prevents me from backing up JPEG files since I cannot see them through the file viewer.
