#8897 | version 3.7.3 | low | fixed | 11 years | 11 years
Description |
Very similar to ticket # 8870: I download v3.7.3, and start the installer. There's a pause, and then an error message pops up stating "You must be connected to the internet to complete your installation. Please connect and try again." Of course I'm connected - I just browsed to the filezilla-project.org website and downloaded the client, demonstrating a working Internet connection, so I'm not sure what the issue could be. I've attached a screen shot as requested in ticket # 8870. |

#9038 | Filezilla 3.7.3 Not Compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks | high | fixed | 11 years | 11 years
Description |
I tried installing version 3.7.3 of Filezilla on my MacBook Pro (w/ OS X 10.9 installed) and got this message: "Filezilla cannot be installed because it from an unidentified developer." I downloaded the file from download.cnet.com. Is this something that can be easily fixed? I use Filezilla all the time and it would be a shame to not be able to use it on my new machine for this reason. |

I have installed two sftp servers in windows 7. I always use filezilla client for any connection and all works right. But in this special case with windows, I got the problem that the date reported in remote sever by filezilla was very wrong. The client reports a datetime near in 1969 year, but the files were modified in this year 2013. By the way I'm using ubuntu. I tried another client GFTP and the date error dissapeared. Please fix it. cliente Filezilla v. 3.5.3 server: windows 7 professional / Core FTP Server I used before fresSSHd server with the same result. |

#9141 | Filezilla silently fails to start under OsX 10.9 with default security configuration | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
On a clean install of Mavericks, where the 'Allow apps downloaded from' setting has been left in its default state of 'Mac App Store and identified developers' Filezilla fails to run, with the console output ... 30/12/2013 11:50:04.037 CoreServicesUIAgent[4974]: Saving rejection record: Rejected URL=file:///Applications/FileZilla.app/ App URL=file:///Applications/FileZilla.app/ 30/12/2013 11:50:04.040 com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[273]: ([0x0-0x10e10e].de.filezilla[4972]) Exited: Killed: 9 As I understand it this is the OS killing the Filezilla process due to the default security settings. If the OsX setting is altered to 'Anywhere' Filezilla runs up as expected. The 'Bug' I wanted to report is that for some reason, I assume due to the way the application runs up; there is no display to state why the application didn't run, it just silently fails to start. Other applications trigger an OS pop up stating that the application can't be run due to the current settings, and appear in 'System Preferences >> Security & privacy >> General' with the option to allow them anyway. |

#9151 | Client freezes due to multiple dialogues being open at the same time | normal | fixed | 10 years | 9 years
Description |
When you edit files while a queue is being processed, there is a rare chance of having two dialogues open at the same time, cancelling each other out. That's because when you edit files, there is a chance of the "Selected file already being edited" dialogue popping up. After this dialogue shows, a second dialogue can pop up, asking the user whether to overwrite an already existing file, since the queue is still running in the background. This results in a freeze, since neither the dialogues nor the main program can be closed anymore. |

#9318 | 'Overwrite if newer' overwrites file even if they have the same timestamp while uploading. | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
Using version 3.7.3 the options 'Overwrite if newer' works correctly. However, after upgrading to version 3.7.4.1 all files are overwritten even if the files have the same timestamps. I tested it with identical directories and files. First I uploaded files with version 3.7.3. Everything works as expected. Only files that actually were newer got transferred. Then I set-up exactly the same files and directories and use version 3.7.4.1. All files were transferred, even the files having identical timestamps. I also noticed that the files have correct identical timestamps in the treeview (see attachment for just one file). Settings the server timezone offset +1 solves the wrong file-overwrite behavior. However then the times in the treeview are not displayed correctly. The logging for transferring 1 file that has identical timestamps at both the server and the client (test.txt) looks as follows: Status: Verbinding aangemaakt, welkomstbericht afwachten... #9517 | Filezilla client repeated crashing while uploading | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
When running the latest 3.8 version, Filezilla client repeatedly crashes. Typically I'll select a bunch of folders containing files to upload (to an FTP system running Filezilla server on Windows 2008 R2) and after a few dozen files, I get the windows popup: FileZilla FTP Client has stopped working - a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.'. I've also noticed at times it seems to hang more while connecting to a folder to display contents, with the log panel text indicating it's waiting for the connection. Downloading files does not seem to cause the same problems; I recently downloaded a load of files from one place without incident, but on uploading them to another destination, encountered repeated problems. I have tried setting the program to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and also to run as Admin (in case was in some way related to permissions) but neither helps. Here is what gets logged in event viewer: Faulting application name: filezilla.exe, version: 3.8.0.0, time stamp: 0x53354246 Faulting module name: filezilla.exe, version: 3.8.0.0, time stamp: 0x53354246 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x001d9021 Faulting process ID: 0xa68 Faulting application start time: 0x01cf6aa7a3177082 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client\filezilla.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\FileZilla FTP Client\filezilla.exe Report ID: 0a7c5e1c-d69c-11e3-bf67-005056c00008 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: I installed the 3.7.4.1 version from SF, and this seems to work fine. |

I have wxGTK 3.0.1 installed (I'm using OS X 10.7, but I'm almost sure that this isn't OSX-specific and could be reproduced on Linux; I didn't try though). $ wx-config --cxxflags -I/path/to/wxGTK/3.0/lib/wx/include/gtk3-unicode-3.0 -I/path/to/wxGTK/3.0/include/wx-3.0 -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -DWXUSINGDLL -D__WXGTK__ $ wx-config --libs -L/path/to/wxGTK/3.0/lib -framework IOKit -framework CoreServices -framework System -framework ApplicationServices -lwx_gtk3u_xrc-3.0 -lwx_gtk3u_webview-3.0 -lwx_gtk3u_html-3.0 -lwx_gtk3u_qa-3.0 -lwx_gtk3u_adv-3.0 -lwx_gtk3u_core-3.0 -lwx_baseu_xml-3.0 -lwx_baseu_net-3.0 -lwx_baseu-3.0
The problem is that FileZilla's if echo "$WX_CPPFLAGS" | grep __WXGTK__ > /dev/null 2>&1; then AC_PATH_PROG(xdgopen, xdg-open) if test -z "$xdgopen"; then AC_MSG_ERROR([xdg-open not found. This isn't a showstopper on Mac where users can (and should) use the native Cocoa user interface (but one shouldn't assume that GTK always means Linux though). We provide wxGTK 2.8 as a fallback for programs that require wxWidgets 2.8. In this case I wanted to provide a wxGTK 3.0 fallback because some functionality in the Cocoa inteface isn't working properly yet on Mac. But I'm afraid that this would be a problem on other OSes as well. |

#9608 | Multiple UI problems with latest unstable | normal | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
There seems to be a number of UI problems, but specific to OS X. More exactly: The application starts up, and the main window appears. The cursor is in the "Host" window, but is not blinking. If you try to click in other text fields, the cursor does not move to them. If you type characters, they do not appear. But they DO seem to be registered; if you type in a hostname and click on Quickconnect, they will appear. There are other weird UI issues as well, those are only the ones that stand out right at first glance. All of these things happen with a FileZilla I build from source code as well. |

#9624 | No retry after failed to sent a command. | normal | fixed | 10 years | 9 years
Description |
Hello I'm using internet behind NAT444. My ISP's NAT device allow port binding just for some time. After NAT device doesn't see activity on the port it will silently drop port binding to home's client. To solve this You should add some option to send some null command for every X seconds. (Like in Putty) but for particular issues I found is when I can connect to a server and then inactive for a period of time. Filezilla won't retry by restart a connection with the server when encounter an Error. Here the log: Command: RNFR something.html Error: Connection closed by server I expect when this happen it should restart connection with the server. Either you resolve the issue by adding option to make some TCP activity periodically or retry when encounter an error is fine by me but I think both would be the best. |

#9667 | Multiple simultaneous downloads on OS X locks up UI and slows downloads significantly | normal | fixed | 10 years | 9 years
Description |
When transferring a large batch of files on 3.9.0 (hundreds of files averaging between 2KB and 300KB), 10 simultaneous transfers at once, the UI locks up (although the app is still downloading and the command echo window is still scrolling through commands). The downloading slows to approximately 5-10% of available network speed (and I can see the echo window slows commands to this rate as well). Once all files have been downloaded, the UI becomes accessible again. Note, I had no problems performing the same actions above on 3.8.1. On that older version, downloads were at full speed and the UI never locked up. I confirmed that this is a new issue introduced since v3.8.1. I recreated the issue on 3.9.0, then I downgraded from 3.9.0 back to 3.8.1 and the issue went away (speeds went back to normal and UI was accessible during this download process). So that rules out an issue with my computer, OS, network or server. I have not tested if this affects multiple simultaneous uploads as well. |

Description |
I normally am in my IDE and then Alt+Tab into FileZilla. The file I'm working on is typically highlighted at the top of the local pane (have it sorted by Last Modified). However, in 3.9.0.1 or 3.9.0.2, it looks like the highlight on the file is gray instead of blue. And thus, when I hit Enter to upload it to my server, nothing happens. it used to be that I could just Alt+Tab and hit Enter and the file uploaded. It was a super fast process, but now, can't do it and that's frustrating as you can imagine. Not sure why that changed, so I assume it's a bug. |

#9746 | FileZilla Client 3.9.0.2 not expanding/browsing DFS shared drives | high | fixed | 10 years | 10 years
Description |
FileZilla Client 3.9.0.2 not expanding/browsing DFS shared drives, 3.9.0.1 displays them fine, update 3.9.0.2 does not. Instead, one will see the shared drive and the root DFS namespace links but cannot browse further down then the root name spaces. As in, the shared drive will display only 1 level down, still within DFS links, not even to the next level of DFS links, and not any further, thereby rendering them non-useable. I've tried this on XP, Win 7, and Win 8.1. Downgrading to 3.9.0.1 resolved this issue. I did not take a screenshot before downgrading, all you would see is that the folders have no + (PLUS symbol) next to them in the local site view, and that you can not click any further in the pane below. Right clicking and hitting "open" says "no program associated". Same issue on multiple users machines. Also, un-related, but SourceForge has been serving virsues up on the auto-download links and has infected machines here, I still see it offering 724K instead of the 5+MB installer for FileZilla, you may want to look into this as people are trying to download your client and ending up with malware and viruses. Thanks! |

#10119 | OS X Filetype Association setting does not allow spaces in app name | normal | fixed | 9 years | 9 years

When I try to create a Custom Filetype Association in the settings, FileZilla strips out the space when I try to specify php "/Applications/Sublime Text.app" . Since there are work-arounds (I believe), this is not a barn-burner. It may be a documentation issue, I just have not able to google an answer that works. BTW, cut'n'Paste is very quirky /and/or not working in this settings dialog as well as the error message window. ...Wait a minit! Now the double quote double back slash does not preserve the space. I swear it did-- Is this related to the cut'n'paste issue? I must be loosing my mind! |

Prior to the latest Filezilla update, there was no problem transferring files of any size - the server that the files are being transferred from has not had any software changes prior to or after the latest Filezilla update. #10165 | Proxy ignored for SFTP connections (Regression from 3.9.0.6) | normal | fixed | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Since version 3.10.0, connections through SFTP always ignore any proxy settings I might have configured. 3.9.6 and older do not. I've got it configured to use a HTTP proxy, over port 443. The "Bypass Proxy" setting for the connection I use is not checked. The console shows the following lines (after enabling detailed output): Response: fzSftp started Command: proxy 1 "proxy.domain.com" 443 Command: open "user@site.com" 2222 But then it actually does a direct connection instead. I confirmed this by looking at my firewall's network connections view, netstat, and by the fact that I'm no longer speed-limited by the proxy. I've downgraded until the issue disappeared, and found that the proxy 3.9.6 and older versions do not have this issue. I assume it's caused by the "Updated SFTP components from PuTTY" change introduced in 3.10.0-beta3, but I might be wrong. |

#10168 | File Sizes wrong on remote end | normal | fixed | 9 years | 9 years
Description |
Hi, I have noticed an issue with the file sizes on a remote server. Most of the files on the remote end have a size that's the real size of the file minus 4x10243 (4gb). The files are fine on the remote SFTP server but the sizes displayed in FileZilla are wrong. Most of the files are between 4gb and 8gb in size. Here's some more information:
I tried changing the server type from 'Default (Autodetect)' to 'Unix' but there was no noticeable difference. I also tried using the 'Raw listing' in the debug menu but to no avail. This makes things a little wacky when resuming a transfer or calculating a transfer duration.. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there's need for extra info. Regards, Vincent |

Description |
Since updating FileZilla Client from v3.10.0.2 to v3.10.1.1, when FileZilla prompts for my 'Unknown certificate' it no longer shows the checkbox for 'Always trust certificate for future sessions'. Certificate is within the Validity period and host address matches the SAN. This is self-signed, with many SAN entries to cover all accessible hostnames the FTP is accessed from internally and externally. I can only assume because of the number of SAN in the list, it pushes the checkbox off screen, and doesn't have anything to do with any problem or expiration of the certificate. Only other issues I found similar to this were expired certificates where the checkbox was visible, but not selectable. For me, it's not even visible. |

I'm using the version of MinGW specified in the build notes for Windows. As part of r6137, a process.h was included in FileZilla 3; this conflicts with the process.h that is shipped with MinGW, causing the build to fail (it fails with a bunch of undefined symbols; the root cause here is pthread.h is including process.h, picking up the FileZilla one instead of the MinGW one and causing the errors). I renamed the FileZilla process.h to fzprocess.h and changed the include files everywhere, and that seemed to solve the problem. |

Environment: Windows 8 + internet Explorer (IE) + Kapersky as antivirus I analyzed the exe installation file once downloaded with Kapersky, no issue reported. When I executed the file, it was hanging with an empty or black pop-up windows openening. I had to stop the computer and restart it I think the file was around 700 ko ( the same size than the one mentioned by IE while confirming the download). 2) Today on my computer, where FZ is installed since a long time, and is runing as expected, I received an update and I see that FileZilla_3.10.2_win32-setup.exe is around 6064 Ko I got no issue while installing an using this new update. Then I tried to download FileZilla from FZ site on my computer: Windows 7 + Chrome + Norton Norton stopped the downloading sending messages as : "c90f.tmp (suspicious.Cloud9) deleted" At the end no file is downloaded the file c90f.tmp is loaded from http://cdn.qualitycontenthouse.com Is the downloaded file corrupted? or is it a malware? I have no more access to the Windows 8 environment and hope to have not installed a malware on this computer which is not mine. In both cases I started the download from: https://forum.filezilla-project.org/ and was redirected to sourceforge Thanks for your time |
