Hi, we have installed FileZilla in our citrix environment and need a minimum of 100 users to have access to SFTP files from a secured network to another location on t he same SAM (unsecure) we are using ZFTP as the server. At the moment only one user can use the FileZilla client as when another one tries to use the FileZilla client and error advises that the application is in use. Is there a setting or a way multiple users can concurrentky use this client ?

I am trying to use FileZilla Client (Version 3.9.0.5) for the first time. I ran the Configuration Wizard. Default Transfer Mode: Passive Configure Passive Mode: Use the server's external IP address instead. Get an external IP address from the following URL: ​http://ip.filezilla-project.org/ip.php Ticked Don't use external IP address on local connections. Ask operating system for a port.

Test result looks like it worked:

The test did not succeed. Do you really want to save the settings?

I have tried turning my Firewall off. It made no difference. Anyhow, FileZilla client has been allowed on the Firewall.

What is going on here?

We have a user in our office who is now unable to connect to her FileZilla server. I have compared settings between my system that still works and hers. All settings appear to be the same. On Wednesday 1/25, I registered for the “Gold Package”. A technician called and mumbled for about 5 minutes and then loaded some software onto my PC that he said would allow him to diagnose my problem.

He then said he needed to go off for about one hour “to change computers”.

A couple hours later, with no call back, I finally noticed that the software he loaded was still loaded. I immediately deleted it.

I could not get back to this support outfit – I waited over one hour on the phone.

I did reach a tech yesterday who said he could only refund part of my $49.xx. I told him I was not only concerned about getting a refund but was thinking about calling the Montreal police about possible theft of data/files from my PC. It appears as if I immediately got a refund on my credit card. This quickness of this reaction is more concerning.

This morning I ran into the “You have a virus and can’t get out of here” virus. I think I took care of this with the Task Manager.

I am now doing a complete Scan with Windows Defender – but this does not address the issue of what may have been removed from this PC – some sensitive material.

Can you identify the original technician that put the software on my system and press him about what he did and why he didn’t return the call.

Let me know if you think legal intervention is warranted.

FileZilla does not check if the saved last GUI screen position is still valid upon opening of the software.

• Dual screen system with desktop extension on a second monitor.
• Open filezilla and use it on the second monitor. Then close the program
• Disable the second screen, on a labtop remove the cable for example, the full desktop should now only show on the main/single screen.
• Open Filezilla, it is not visible (or completely visible) as it used the coordinates as if the desktop was extended.

The above is also true if only a fraction of the program is visible on the current desktop.

Solution check upon startup not only if the top-left coordinates are within the current visible desktop area but also if you can see a reasonable portion of filezilla on the desktop. If the top-left coordinate is just within the visible area than you still cannot use the program until you can drag it completely back on the current desktop area.

Is there way to activate the Requeuing process using only keyboard commands? My mouse has frozen and my USB ports don't work, so I only have the keyboard to work with. Via the keyboard, I'm able to activate the "Failed transfers (639623)" tab but unable to select the files within this tab and then, subsequently requeue the set. Is there a method to do this, using the keyboard only, I don't want to re-upload the 1.75 mil docs again? I'm using Macbook Pro, Windows side BootCamp, Mac Keyboard (no pgup/pgdn etc), Win7 64 bit OS.

Hi, I have a client that is using FileZilla to connect to our internal server over a VPN tunnel. He can connect but then will periodically get disconnected with a "failed to retrieve directory listing".

I can connect to the same server using the same FileZilla version as he is and have no issues. Also there are two subfolders within the root. They are not displaying for him but are for me. If he manually enters the folder name in the Remote site field he can get into the folder with no issues.

He's connecting using FTPS on port 990.

I'm discussing here the Synchronized Navigation, because IMHO there is a logical bug. In the panel which the Ftp PARAMETERS ARE STORED, THE PANEL ACCESSIBLE VIA THE site manager (sorry for this definitions that may be incorrect due to the fact that I'm using an Italian interface) there is the possibility to define a synchronized navigation. I usually do it. Then I define which are the folders, the local one and the remote one, which usually are the roots. But the local root is belonging to another folder, which is the name of the organization I'm hosting my site with. So, for instance, I have a folder named ARUBA in which I have created many folders, one for each web site I have. Then there is the data about the remote server, in which I specify that the root folder is named only "/". I think that these are the correct parameters that must be indicated, so the synchronized navigation should relate to those two indications, the "root" in my local system, and the remote root. So when I connect, the program that says that "the synchronized navigation has been deactivated because the folders are not in the same place" (or something like that, sorry for the poor translation) is mistaken, because I can't indicate the local root of my disk. Please fix this problem, because it is a severe logical mistake IMHO.

I used to be able to connect to my FileZilla FTP server - now the connection simply times out without giving any error.

I can connect to the FTP server locally using a local IP, but not from remote.

In the past it used to accept/reject IP's not whitelisted etc and showed the folder list, but suddenly it stopped working - not sure if it is due to a Windows update or not.

I stopped and started the FileZilla Server FTP service.

I checked all firewall rules and they are OK.

I went to canuseeme.org from the server and the FTP port is open.

I can ping the public IP.

Hi there, I opened an html page for editing. Then I closed it, but needed to open it again to correct a couple of mistakes. However, FileZilla opened an empty local file for editing instead of the original html page.

The question: where does it download a file that was opened for editing in Windows? I tried searching the location, but couldn't find anything despite xml conf files for Filezilla.

I encounter sevral problems to configure the server via the administration GUI, the keyboard navigation could be difficult and the screenreader NVDA version 2021.3.1 doesn't work with all components of the GUI.

The biggest problem is the datagrids, for example the configuration for users dirrectories access but all components of this type are problematic. When I use the "tab" key to focus this type of elements it's not possible to move in it with keys or to quit it with "tab" (I must use a shortcut). So it's not possible to select an item in the array and to configure it correctly, this is a big regression cause with the old GUI these problems wasn't present. Also, the datagrids are not announced correctly by the screenreader if I try to modify something in it, I must exit the settings and reload them to have a small access.

Also, when I add a new user or with the list elements of this type, the focus is blocked in the list with the possibility to up or down the selected item but I haven't access to the other options and, if I navigate without adding a nex element, I can't move up or down the selected element. I don't know if this happen also when I modify or copy the selected element but it's also a big problem.

An other problem, the dialog box creation for a SSL certificat has a strange behaviour with the tabindex so it's realy difficult to use it only with the keyboard.

I've also see something that I haven't understand, in the user configuration in the "General" tab, my screenreader indicate me a combobox just after the password field (always using "Tab" key to navigate) but I can't interract with it.

In conclusion the old interface was realy better for the accessibility and keyboard navigation, using a contextual menu in lists was far better than this new interface, etc..., this new interface is probably more modern than the old one but very less usable for visualy impaired people or for those who don't use the mouse. I hope this can be fixed, I realy apreciate Filezilla Server but for now the only solution that I have found is to install an old version (under 1.0.0), configure it and reinstall a new version but if I want to change something it could be realy difficult.

Hi, i noticed that on my Filezilla FTP that its showing the same file with different sizes, if you could explain why that is happening and how i can prevent that because it taking up space in the server. As on the wordpress backend, in media folder i do not see these and i only use wordpress uploader to upload it, neither have i uploaded them with different sizes. For example i have a pdf that i have upload on wordpress, in filezilla its stripping the images separately and creating a imaged of it with various different sizes. please see the attached screenshot. Also, the amount of media files do not match on wordpress and FileZilla because FileZilla is producing images with different sizes. Please let me know how i can prevent that from happening and how can i go about clearing these files from filezilla.

the key file description can be confusing. The dialog where one edits server to connect to (Site manager). They can select Logon type "Key file" and then enter the path to it. But newbie may assume that they need a key to the server they want to connect, not local key.

Why i am saying this? Because it accepted my local key /home/myusername/.ssh/id_rsa and connected to remote server...

Maybe better describe it so it is more clear or prefill the local key path like shown above by default, maybe even when no path is used. Error/information boxes on failure should describe in detail what to try.

We have used FileZilla for a long time in a team by accessing a remote samba share that is mounted to the S:\ drive as our local site.

This has always worked great but we recently upgraded our server, the server is much faster in every way except from browsing local directories in FileZilla.

Browsing using explorer or winSCP is faster than it was on the old server but FileZilla seems to have an issue with it, it can take 10-15 seconds to open a directory on local.

This is happening for all of our team members if there are any settings you could recommend that would remedy this I'd really appreciate it, I realise this potentially isn't ticket worthy but I tried creating an account on the forum and I didn't receive the verification email.

FileZilla Pro (Mac App Store) 3.65.1 is unable to use ssh-agent for SFTP (see attached filezilla.log, redacted). However, a similarly-configured FileZilla (free) 3.65.0 correctly uses ssh-agent as expected.

I am using Site Manager to configure the site (see attached sitemanager.xml, redacted)

I note that ​this Cyberduck documentation says:

(Public Key Authentication Using SSH Agent) is not supported when running Cyberduck from the Mac App Store because of sandboxing restrictions.

I'm guessing that similar restrictions apply for FileZilla. If so, can this special case be documented (possibly ​here and/or ​here)?
