Tim: On Wednesday 1/25, I registered for the “Gold Package”. A technician called and mumbled for about 5 minutes and then loaded some software onto my PC that he said would allow him to diagnose my problem. He then said he needed to go off for about one hour “to change computers”. A couple hours later, with no call back, I finally noticed that the software he loaded was still loaded. I immediately deleted it. I could not get back to this support outfit – I waited over one hour on the phone. I did reach a tech yesterday who said he could only refund part of my $49.xx. I told him I was not only concerned about getting a refund but was thinking about calling the Montreal police about possible theft of data/files from my PC. It appears as if I immediately got a refund on my credit card. This quickness of this reaction is more concerning. This morning I ran into the “You have a virus and can’t get out of here” virus. I think I took care of this with the Task Manager. I am now doing a complete Scan with Windows Defender – but this does not address the issue of what may have been removed from this PC – some sensitive material. Can you identify the original technician that put the software on my system and press him about what he did and why he didn’t return the call. Hi, I have a client that is using FileZilla to connect to our internal server over a VPN tunnel. He can connect but then will periodically get disconnected with a "failed to retrieve directory listing". I can connect to the same server using the same FileZilla version as he is and have no issues. Also there are two subfolders within the root. They are not displaying for him but are for me. If he manually enters the folder name in the Remote site field he can get into the folder with no issues. He's connecting using FTPS on port 990. I'm discussing here the Synchronized Navigation, because IMHO there is a logical bug. In the panel which the Ftp PARAMETERS ARE STORED, THE PANEL ACCESSIBLE VIA THE site manager (sorry for this definitions that may be incorrect due to the fact that I'm using an Italian interface) there is the possibility to define a synchronized navigation. I usually do it. Then I define which are the folders, the local one and the remote one, which usually are the roots. But the local root is belonging to another folder, which is the name of the organization I'm hosting my site with. So, for instance, I have a folder named ARUBA in which I have created many folders, one for each web site I have. Then there is the data about the remote server, in which I specify that the root folder is named only "/". I think that these are the correct parameters that must be indicated, so the synchronized navigation should relate to those two indications, the "root" in my local system, and the remote root. So when I connect, the program that says that "the synchronized navigation has been deactivated because the folders are not in the same place" (or something like that, sorry for the poor translation) is mistaken, because I can't indicate the local root of my disk. Please fix this problem, because it is a severe logical mistake IMHO. |

Hi, I encounter sevral problems to configure the server via the administration GUI, the keyboard navigation could be difficult and the screenreader NVDA version 2021.3.1 doesn't work with all components of the GUI. The biggest problem is the datagrids, for example the configuration for users dirrectories access but all components of this type are problematic. When I use the "tab" key to focus this type of elements it's not possible to move in it with keys or to quit it with "tab" (I must use a shortcut). So it's not possible to select an item in the array and to configure it correctly, this is a big regression cause with the old GUI these problems wasn't present. Also, the datagrids are not announced correctly by the screenreader if I try to modify something in it, I must exit the settings and reload them to have a small access. Also, when I add a new user or with the list elements of this type, the focus is blocked in the list with the possibility to up or down the selected item but I haven't access to the other options and, if I navigate without adding a nex element, I can't move up or down the selected element. I don't know if this happen also when I modify or copy the selected element but it's also a big problem. An other problem, the dialog box creation for a SSL certificat has a strange behaviour with the tabindex so it's realy difficult to use it only with the keyboard. I've also see something that I haven't understand, in the user configuration in the "General" tab, my screenreader indicate me a combobox just after the password field (always using "Tab" key to navigate) but I can't interract with it. In conclusion the old interface was realy better for the accessibility and keyboard navigation, using a contextual menu in lists was far better than this new interface, etc..., this new interface is probably more modern than the old one but very less usable for visualy impaired people or for those who don't use the mouse. I hope this can be fixed, I realy apreciate Filezilla Server but for now the only solution that I have found is to install an old version (under 1.0.0), configure it and reinstall a new version but if I want to change something it could be realy difficult. Hi, i noticed that on my Filezilla FTP that its showing the same file with different sizes, if you could explain why that is happening and how i can prevent that because it taking up space in the server. As on the wordpress backend, in media folder i do not see these and i only use wordpress uploader to upload it, neither have i uploaded them with different sizes. For example i have a pdf that i have upload on wordpress, in filezilla its stripping the images separately and creating a imaged of it with various different sizes. please see the attached screenshot. Hello, the key file description can be confusing. The dialog where one edits server to connect to (Site manager). They can select Logon type "Key file" and then enter the path to it. But newbie may assume that they need a key to the server they want to connect, not local key. Why i am saying this? Because it accepted my local key /home/myusername/.ssh/id_rsa and connected to remote server... Maybe better describe it so it is more clear or prefill the local key path like shown above by default, maybe even when no path is used. Error/information boxes on failure should describe in detail what to try. |

Hey, We have used FileZilla for a long time in a team by accessing a remote samba share that is mounted to the S:\ drive as our local site. This has always worked great but we recently upgraded our server, the server is much faster in every way except from browsing local directories in FileZilla. Browsing using explorer or winSCP is faster than it was on the old server but FileZilla seems to have an issue with it, it can take 10-15 seconds to open a directory on local. This is happening for all of our team members if there are any settings you could recommend that would remedy this I'd really appreciate it, I realise this potentially isn't ticket worthy but I tried creating an account on the forum and I didn't receive the verification email. |
