A request to add a "settings" option to stop FZ from generating a new desktop shortcut every time FZ executes an update.

fwiw, my default is to run windows as a low rights user. As a result every time FZ updates it takes almost ten steps to gain the administration rights to remove each new unwanted shortcut that is added by every update process.

I am guessing that the fact that the shortcut that I normally use does not have the same title as the automatically generated shortcut is why I have to delete it after every update.

Feature request: Add shourtcuts for entries in the Servermanager to allow the users to jump directly to designated directories.

Something like that:

Request to have a shortcut key like "alt+key or ctrl+key" to bring up the Enter Custom Command window.

It's not a big deal for the two extra mouse clicks to get to it, but it would make it easier if you admin an FTPD that uses custom site commands to accomplish different tasks.

No shortcut key to open files. The option is there but shortcut key is not there. So i have to click on the file, then right click and click on Open to open a file.

For eg. in CuteFTP you select a file and then by pressing Control + E it opens the file with the associated application. Same functionality is required in FileZilla also with other related shortcut keys and their functions.

Now we can hide FileZilla in systray on minimizing the window. It would be good if there was a shortcut to hide the window in systray.

I have an AMD 7650 Radeon with Windows 10 Educational.

Every time I try to download a huge amount of files, sometimes I need to put them in the queue recursively before processing the queue.

Otherwise, the download queue became much shorter than the real amount of files I want to download.

-There should be a menu setting so that before copying/pasting begins,

if FileZilla encounters a duplicate file with the same name and size, which it occasionally does, that the setting to overwrite with the newest copy of the file can be a default setting, so that its present menu does not ever pop up during copying.

-Occasionally FileZilla produces Failed Transfers. There should be a menu

setting to "retry until copies successfully", all failed transfers, even if re-copying/pasting of all failed transfers only begins at the end of copying/pasting all of the Queues files, at the end of an upload, or during that procedure.

My file was set to r/r/r (i.e. no write access).

I copied a new version of the file over the top.

FileZilla asked me if I wanted to overwrite it three times, but gave no warning that the file could not be written.

The only reason I realised was that the file size didn't change.

Can you add possibility that FileZilla show percent of downloaded/uploaded stuff in title, so it can be seen when minimized? (or tray icon, that will show percent?)

Currently Filezilla Pro only show one's private folder, usually the same as the user's full name. It displays as the root (/) in the Filezilla client.

Dropbox Business has shared team folders but it's not possible to list them through the Filezilla Pro client. This would be a nice feature for Dropbox Business clients, which probably makes up for a good percentage of the users who wants to use your Dropbox integration.

It will be good to show the status of the download/upload process on the taskbar, instead of just showing FileZilla label, so it's possible to check the progress without the need to restore the window.

When deleting a lot of files, there is no progress visible (at the moment I'm deleting 18000 files from a server, that takes some time, and I'd really like to see how much has been done yet).

It would be nice if there was a way to see the Total Time that a transfer took to complete (or fail for that matter). Would like to see a Total Time column in both the Succesful Transfers window and the Failed Transfers window. That way, for large files, you can check back after they have completed and see how long it took.

Currently using v3.3.1 on Windows XP Pro

Whenever I upload a file the displayed uploadspeed gets immediately above 155 - 180 MBit/Sec. My internet connection is limited to 40 MBit/sec. This results in the file supposedly been transfered within seconds - as filezilla shows. On the other side (FileZilla Server 0.9.60.2) it shows a upload speed at about 3,4 MByte/sec which would be fine. Since the file seems to be already transfered filezilla closes the connection or it times out and filezilla reconnects afterwards again. This behavior repeats multiple times.

Scenario:

• I have a XML ONLY containing a queue (lets call it X).
• Inside X are a few files which I have to upload many times a day.
• After clicking "File, Import...", I can choose X.
• Then I have to first endure the following dialog before I can get back to productivity:

The selected file contains importable data for the following categories: <*> Queue Please select the categories you would like to import.

This dialog makes perfect sense to show if there is more than one category available. But if not it is just a bothersome task to click it again away, each time this function is used. So I would suggest hiding this dialog if there is only one item to choose from in the first place. It would make my life a lot easier ;). And also, please make a button to import files in the menu, please.

FileZilla Version in use: 3.3.2.1

FileZilla Client Version: 3.3.3 Build date: 2010-06-13. I did a search on Simultaneous connections and found a couple old tickets that gave little info and said they were fixed. However, I had an older version (don't recall how old) that did not have this problem but I'm now having it with the new update which I downloaded today. To best describe my problem, below is a log of my exchange with support with my host. Unfortunately, I cannot attach the log file as logging was not on by default as I discovered when I hunted trying to find the location of the log. I've changed that setting so that I'll be able to provide a log in the future. So the snippet will have to do for now.

By the way, I will be posting a couple of feature requests based on my experience with this problem (haven't yet looked to see if already requested). 1) Under menu item Transfer, you have Process Queue but no Stop Process and no Erase Queue. Both are needed. 2) A way to synchronize the contents of a local folder with the contents of a remote folder.

I've gone back and forth with the TicketSubmissionGuide and my ticket, and hope that I have followed all the guidelines correctly. If I've left something out, please ask.

Please make sure that you set your ftp client to operate in passive mode (PASV) and that it is limited to a maximum of less than 5 concurrent connections. The log shows that the client manages to reach the maximum number of concurrent ftp connections. We have killed the current active connections for you. Make sure that you update the settings of your FTP Client prior to uploading new files.

If your FTP Client is not able to control the number of initiated connections we assume that this could be caused by a bug at the application. At the present moment you have only one active connection to the server.

Subsequently, I got up to the max # of connections again.

FileZilla Client Site Import causes duplication for any sites that already exist in FileZilla when the Import is done. To me this is a bug but I can understand why it could be considered normal behavior.

I suggest a user option: over-write same-name sites (y/N)? Sites must be in the same folder and have the same name. Imported info would over-write existing info if option is selected. This could either be a setup option or an option on the Import screen.

It was suggested that I take these suggestions which I wrote out in the public forums, and put them up individually in the Tracker. So, here I go - 9 feature requests, all individually posted.

#9 - CuteFTP and WSFTP site import. I spent about 30 minutes converting my CuteFTP ini file to the proper XML format, so I know it can be done automatically. And yes, the 30 minutes was a time savings, with the number of sites I had to set up.

However I am sure that others would want to do the same thing so it would be nice if there was just a setting where you could change your file list folder to wherever you want such as Dropbox.

At present, the only way to save edits in the Site Manager is to use the OK button. This also exits the SiteManager. Suppose you have much editing to do? (Precisely my situation as a new user transfering a list of sites from a different ftp program)

I lost approximately an hour of edits by inadvertently touching the Esc key while setting up a complicated folder tree with many sites. The only alternative to inadvertent data loss is very tedious. Namely, click OK after each trivial edit, then re-enter the editor, resetting the tab selection, among other things.

Please add a Save button to the Site Manager. Clicking the button would save the current state of the SiteManager file so that a subsequent Cancel (or the Esc key!) would not lose all of one's work.

Saving a file seems like an almost trivial feature to add.

Can no longer sync site manager entries between machines because there is just a spinning loading icon and no browser tabs are being opened by Filezilla PRO to authenticate with the Google Drive sync that has been running smoothly for a year now.

The Site Manager Synchronised Browsing setting for an account's entry is not restored on reconnecting using the 'Reconnect to the last used server' button.

Is there a way to have FileZilla default to the Site list being focused when activating the Site Manager? I'd like to be able to start tabbing or arrowing to the site I want to open rather that having to mouse over and double click.

Site Manager fails to connect with client version 3.44.2 with stp-ssh to sourceforge with multiple attempts, simply saying unable to connect. After returning to 3.43.0 site manager had no problems. Lots of update nags via program and website, yet I needed to downgrade. If you are going to nag so hard, please fix and make sure fixes don't break things before deploying. Perhaps you could setup a beta tester channel.

After updating from 3.33.0 to 3.34.0, selection pane in site manager (pane with site tree) is too narrow to display its contents and can't be resized.

Hi. I have an increasing number of sites. I use filezilla on a daily basis and always have to look for the last site that I connected to. This would be very handy as it would remind me the last sites that I was connected to and It would make them easily accessible for reconnection.

It would be very useful if FileZilla had a "site management mode" where it allowed me to designate a "logical root" directory for both local and remote servers. The two things that would be different in the interface when it was in this mode would be that it would prevent you from browsing "up" from the logical root, and that most transfer functions would only copy to the same level in the tree (for example if you right-clicked on /one/two/three/four on the remote site and chose download, it would always download to /one/two/three/four on the local site regardless of which directory was "current" in the left pane). You could always use drag-n-drop to force the tool to copy directories to a different location in the local tree (which would mean that dragging works exactly as it does now).

This mode would be extremely useful for web site developers and account managers who maintain a complete copy of their server account files on their local machine and constantly copy files back and forth. It would not eliminate copying errors, but would greatly reduce them.

I always right-click on a folder to create a new site, but it's not possible. The only option is export.

User interface behavior is inconsistent. If I set "Show the Site Manager at startup" option and connect to site from command line, the site is automatically connected and the Site Manager is displayed, where it should not be.

Steps to reproduce:

1. set "Show the Site Manager at startup" in options.
2. connect to site through command line filezilla --site="0/my site

Result:

1. the connection to the site is established upon startup
2. Site Manager is shown upon startup << should not happen

Solution: ignore "Show the Site Manager at startup" setting if --site command line parameter is used.

I've got a long list of sites inside the scroll manager, until version 3.60.x everything was working correctly but after the latest updates i can't no longer start typing for a site name and have the site manager window to automatically scroll to the closest sitename.

I don't really know how to further explain this issue but i've just tested with a collegue that had the 3.60.x and it was working, as soon as he updated to the latest 3.62 it stopped working for him too (same OSx).

We both have Apple M1 if that matters.

In the quick selection site manager does not work scroll wheel.

If a site in site manager is unable to load the private key associated with the site (ie it is on an external drive that is not mounted) you cannot unselect that site. Everytime you try to select a different site you get an error message "Could not load key file - The file "xxx" could not be loaded or does not contain a private key". If the site is question is the very first one in the list it is selected by default which means site manager is unusable until the key is located.

Steps to reproduce: Create a new site which loads an SSH private key file from an external drive. Unmount that drive. Open site manager, select the site in question, get error message. Try to select any other site, you keep getting the error message and cannot select the new site.

At the moment, you have to press Alt+D to delete an entry in the site manager. Could you please also add the possibility to use the "del" key for that? I think that is more intuitive.

When moving multiple entries one for another with the mouse into some folder, that folder always opens.

Now, when you have a long list, you always have to close that folder to get to the position you´ve been before. If a folder the mouse hovers over would only open after a second (and also not when the entry is dropped), this would save some effort.

I'using KeePass, a password manager that sends logins and/or password to windows, looking for thei title.

So I don't store site passwords in FileZilla, but I define each parameter of the sites, and set the autentication method to "Ask for password".

It would be nice to have something like "Enter password for Name_of_the_site_as_specified_in_site_manager" instead of simply "Enter password" when I connect to a site.

This way KeePass would automatically recognize which password to use for every site.

Currently, it seems as if once you turn a filter on it applies to every site until you turn it back off. What I'd like is to hide directories on a site without needing to worry about enabling/disabling filters every time I connect to a different site. As I've got a couple hundred FTP's, I really want to avoid having to find each one's filter every time I connect.

I envision having a new tab or fieldset in the Site Manager for each site where you can choose from a list of filters to apply by default. e.g. John.com may have Filter A applied by default whereas Jane.com may have Filter B and Filter C applied by default.

Currently it skips the file only if the filename is the same. It doesn’t check the filesize. I would like to skip the file if the source filename and file-size is the same otherwise overwrite. If you choose a networkpath on the left side the folder tree grows VERY slow. This problem only exists if I use a VPN-Tunnel (2 Fritzboxes). If i am in the same lan the problem not appears. Other Software (including Windows Explorer) are building the tree normaly.

I tried both FileZilla 3.6 and 3.6.0.1 on a 2010 MacBookPro running OSX 10.8.2 using various network connections and user accounts. Uploads to a normally very stable and quick server (in local network) were very slow and connection was very instable. After 4 hours of trying, with multiple retries inbetween I transferred a few hundreds of kilobytes. After downgrading to version 3.5.3 the upload speed went back to a normal 10-15 MB/s.

FileZilla Client becomes extremely slow to enumerate local files when the local site is on a slow network drive. In this particular case the physical "local" drive is at a remote location such that network latency is quite high.

Windows Explorer is able to enumerate files and folders on this drive much faster than the FileZilla client is, so my guess would be that the API calls being used are inefficient in this situation.

For example, if I navigate to a new folder it might take 2 seconds for each child item to appear in the local site pane, and FileZilla is unresponsive until all items have been populated. If I navigate to the same folder in Windows Explorer it might take 2 seconds total for all items to be populated.

The local list view pane for local files in a directory with many files (not sure exactly how many), or perhaps large files, is prohibitively slow on my Windows 7 machines. It brings Filezilla to a crawling halt.

I have noticed slow cold startup times (e.g. 15-60 seconds) for FileZilla on several computers. During startup, the hard drive is constantly being accessed. Therefore, I ran Sysinternals' Process Monitor to debug the issue.

I found that the majority of the startup time appears to be spent querying the Windows Cookies folder: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Cookies The query takes a long time when you have a lot of cookies in the folder (e.g. hundreds or thousands). I have over 3000.

Obviously, I could clear the Cookies folder to work around the issue. However, users shouldn't have to clear their Internet Explorer/Windows cookies to obtain reasonable FileZilla startup performance.

Furthermore, I'm not sure why FileZilla is querying that folder at all. I took a quick look at the source code and couldn't see any reference to the Cookies folder. Perhaps some API/library used by FileZilla is doing the deed.

If necessary, I suspect the issue can be reproduced by placing a few thousand small files in the Windows Cookies folder and rebooting to ensure the directory is not cached by Windows.

This issue may explain some of the reports in Ticket #3267. I created this new ticket because most people in that discussion seemed to think that network drives were at fault.

Running: -FileZilla Client 3.5.0 -Athlon II X4 640

When uploading files while using explicit TLS connection the progress bar in queue log will reach 100% (file uploads) and stay at that point until the connection times out (after whatever amount of seconds I set in the settings). At this point the file is actually transferred (I've tried canceling the process queue and refreshing server listing) but filezilla marks the upload as failed and will retry to upload the same file asking me if I want to rewrite the existing file in the process.

It will do that for every file in the upload queue until it reaches the maximum number of retries.

This only happens on my linux machines and over TLS connection, if I boot windows on any of them, upload over TLS works flawlessly, so I suppose that rules out the server (vsFTPd 3.0.3 with virtual users running on Debian 9.6.0)

Correct ports are open on the server firewall and I've also tried disabling firewalls on both sides, didn't help.

Certificate was generated with certbot software package.

When asking file zilla to close filezilla once after a queue is done, there's a pop-up that there are still files in queue ( after the queue is already done ) this is likely because the last file to be used clogs it up, or because it first tries to close filezilla and then changes the variable to say the queue is finished. This bug however doesn't occur on "Close Filezilla" alone, only on "Close Filezilla once"

I always miss this little detail. You must take the file and put it into the dir, one change an do it again. I will thank this little button that I would use to upload new version of a file that i'm editing, but i would do twice (up and down)

Actually you need to edit a file directly from ftp to do some like this. The idea is make it on local server files.

Like many people, I'm now using a widescreen monitor. Currently my FileZilla client is split into four horizontal panels: message log, directory trees, file listings, and transfer queue. As a result these panels are all very short and wide.

It seems the space would be better used if the GUI allowed me to snap the panels to the sides of the screen, so that (for example) I could have the message log along the left, or the transfer queue along the right, or both. Then I would have four columns: message log, local tree/files, remote tree/files, and transfer queue, and there would still be plenty of horizontal room. Alternately, I could leave the log and the queue at the top and bottom, and have the directory trees to the left of their respective file listings rather than above them.

A good example of this behaviour can be found in most IDEs, which tend to have a lot of different panels available, but are flexible in how they can be arranged. You can dock them to an edge of the screen, or split them with another panel already docked to that edge, etc.

Just a suggestion. I love using FileZilla, and an improvement like this would only make me happier.

Just downloaded FZ 3.54.1 Prior to latter upload incident. Very few HTM files created by Outlook 365 MSO 16.0.14026.20202 32bit with the Save As (to htm) have this issue.

Several messages were saved in this manner (htm) then uploaded using FZ. Only one message presented the corruption. But it did so repeatedly.

After the save-as the file displays properly locally. However, it is converted from En to Chinese character set when uploaded. Renaming the file to html has the same result. However, if renamed to .zip, uploaded and renamed back on the server, the English char set is retained and the file displays properly.

Comparing the file sizes of one such corrupting file finds 69 bytes fewer in the corrupted file. I'm guessing those are CRs not stripped by FZ.

Most of the time this does not happen. Only some files. This has only happened twice. The latter time, it is believed that Word 365 (2016 or 2019 version) may have been the source prior to sending from the same version of Outlook. The recipient Outlook was the same each time.

Each time the problem presented, other files uploaded without issue. Uploading the corrupting file multiple times replicated the results.

The first time the issue presented, an earlier but recent version of FZ was used. At the time, it was suspected that the message sender may have been subject to malware. The file was discarded as it was not mission critical.

The problem is evident in several web browsers (IE, Edge, Opera, Chrome & FireFox) and viewing the uploaded text using Notepad++.

I'm using FileZilla version 3.33.0, on macOS High Sierra on an iMac, 21", Mid 2011. To use the "at" (@) key on my Spanish ISO keyboard I must pres Alt + 2 (both keys together). This works in all applications and screens o the system, but it's not working in the top most fields of Filezilla , where you enter Host, Username, Password and Port for Quickconnect. It seems to be using some other keyboard layout, just for that part. Specifically for the "@" character it shows nothing. If I use the keyboard on other places of Filezilla client (comments, etc.) the keys seems to be ok. This didn't happen with the previous version.

A tetraplegic friend use his computer with the chin, and he can only access to the left click. The keyboard is replaced by "clavicom", a software similar to the one given by the windows accessibility tools.

By this way, for example he cannot delete files on his ftp server. This is because the right click is physically not accessible, and the delete key and right click key on the virtual keyboard does not work properly.

The only way to delete a file is to open the windows virtual keyboard and click on delete key.

I am using latest MACOS and latest FileZilla But sometimes when I use Synchronize Browsing, the local files can not be clicked, can not do anything with the local files It happened long time ago in previous version but for the latest version now this bug is not fixed.

This bug is not always happen, just sometimes, and when it happen, I had to close the program and start it again.

I guest it just happen with the final child folder which has files inside.

When I upload multiple files sometimes a particular file is uploaded to the server with zero bytes. The file can be different from time to time, so not the same file gets uploaded with zero bytes. Usually these files are small.

Usually, the uploading speed could reach 100 MB per second. However, sometimes it is less than 20 MB per second.

My home LAN. I uploaded files from my Mac to my Ubuntu server. The two are connected by a switch. All devices are 1000 Mbps product, including the switch, the wires.

The process list doesn't appear to be sorting. When you click the column headers the order changes the first time you click, but then subsequent clicks do nothing.

A small but useful enhancement: When sorting a file list where an entry in that list is already selected, it would be nice if the sorted list could be offset so as to display the selected file after sorting.

Be able to sort by the date/time that items were added to the queue, and for all sorting options, be able to reverse the order. ie, clicking size currently does small->large, but make it so clicking it again will do large->small.

Actually i have sorting settings set to "Case insensitive", which is fine on remote view.

But in download queue this ordering settings is not active. So if you click on the download queue header to sort by name, the order is case sensitive. The result is if you download all folder of a folder, assuming you remove each finished folder, you have to scroll in remove view to find the latest finished folder.

It will be better to have the sorting case settings acting on both remove view and download queue (to be consistent).

Would it be possible to associate unique sounds (in CPL) to the major FTP actions (transfer failed, transfer successful, connect successful, connect failure, etc)??

It would be helpful to add a dialog to control the minimum protocol version, and minimum authentication, encryption, and HMAC requirements (CipherSuites) for TLS connections. This would ensure compliance for users with strict compliance requirements.

FZ currently allows users to define the max simultaneous transfers (1-10) as well as concurrent downloads/uploads. Please add the ability to define concurrent download/uploads on server-basis. The goal is to have 1 download or upload running per server I have in my queue.

Let's say I have 100 files queued to download across 3 different servers. The expected behavior is to have 3 downloads running simultaneously with 1 from each server running. Currently, a global setting of 3 doesn't allow this.

If a theme does not include a 48x48 pixel icon set, then the speed limit icon will be distorted when opening the Speed Limits dialogue (see screenshot).

A current work around for this is to use the 48x48 icon set from the classic theme if a 48x48 icon is not present for a theme used i.e. minimal or cyril. It would be much better if Filezilla could automatically detect that the theme does not have a 48x48 icon set and fall back to the classic theme speed limit icon.

Alternative ideas:

• the 16x16 icon can be used but will have to be vertically and horizontally aligned to the 48x48 area
• The speed limit icon can be dropped in the speed limits dialogue box
• The above, but the 16x16 icon is placed in the title bar next to "Speed Limits"

This is currently only on Windows (daily build 2011-03-16 used) as linux versions fall back to the classic speed limit icon as expected.

An option to add would be to have an optional rule that would allow you to set a a different transfer for user.

Filezilla 3.7.0.2 is using the full bandwidth of the network connection and doesn’t honor the speed limits when they are set and active. This is happening for the both limits on Download & Upload.

If we are watching the reported momentary speed in the transfer queue everything is fine because the speed match to the configured limits. Actually Filezilla is transferring the file at the full speed of the connection ignoring the speed limits that were reported properly in the queue.

Example: 1) The size of the test file is about 101 MiB at:

ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/21.0/source/firefox-21.0.source.tar.bz2

2) The speed of my connection is 3 Mbits/s 3) The download limit is set to 100 KiB/s 4) The parameter for the reported speed of the Transfer Queue is checked to:

[v] Display momentary transfer speed instead of average speed

5) When I start the file download the reported speed in transfer queue is constant at 100 KiB/s 6) When the file is downloaded at 50% and I disable the speed limit then Filezilla reports that the file is downloaded at 100% and shows a speed that exceed the physical speed of the connection. Actually the entire file was downloaded when the transfer queue reports 30% with active speed limit.

Under the general topic of managing huge downloads more efficiently:

It would be very helpful if there were a way in the front-end of the FileZilla client to turn the speed limiter on and off. Instead, one must go into the preferences.

A very good example of a program that manages bandwidth well is uTorrent. You can set up a schedule in a graphical way that is more intuitive than FileZilla's schedule rules. You can also turn the schedule on and off in the front end by right clicking in the lower status bar. Finally, uTorrent does some very interesting and convienent things with download prioritization.

In the context of the FileZilla interface, it would probably be more consistent to add a button in the main toolbar instead of a context menu in the status bar, though adding both wouldn't hurt.

Additionally, it would be helpful if you could apply speed limit rules on a per-file (or per-directory) basis to limit certain downloads and not to others in the queue.

For instance, let's say I'm downloading a huge DVD ISO of a Linux distro. This will take several days on a slow DSL connection. Rather than sucking up my bandwidth for days on end, I'd set a speed limit. Now, in the middle of this big download, I need to pull down some work-related files. Rather than pausing the big download, turning off the speed limiter, initiating the new download, waiting for it to finish, and restarting the big download again with the speed limit rules, it would be better if I could right-click the big download and simply apply the speed limit to it alone, leaving the new high-priority download to utilize the remainder of my available bandwidth.

For years now, over many versions, FileZilla has spuriously reported: "Server unexpectedly closed network connection" Please see attached Log of (successful) Upload. SSH Version on Client: OpenSSH_7.6p1 Ubuntu-4ubuntu0.3, OpenSSL 1.0.2n 7 Dec 2017 (Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon, which is current at time-of-writing) SSH Version on Server: OpenSSH-7.5p1 (Strato Webhoster) P.S. to verify the Upload, I downloaded the file with an older version of FileZilla (v3.29.0) on another PC. The Download also gave a... "Server unexpectedly closed network connection" ...message.

I have a small local server, and I send content from my machine to remote server (my computer act as a bridge between, production and local dev plataform).

But, when I set the local standard folder as a remote folder, the list of local content not refresh (if I simply hit ENTER ok) or if I change from another folder and connect (expecting that local folder will be changed to standard local folder) nothing happen.

Here an example of configuration of my connnection:

Clean install of Windows 10 Pro, Clean install of Filezilla Client 3.52.0.3 From clicking on the Icon until the Filezilla window is displayed takes around 45 seconds. Once in Filezilla speed is no longer an issue, the programme works fine.

I have set up for logging and set the debug level to 3, but after start it has reset to Level 1 and no log file has been created.

Under menu item Transfer, you have Process Queue but no Stop Process and no Erase Queue. Both are needed.

I was transferring several hundred files and had a simultaneous connections issue that made it necessary to stop the process and erase the queue and Server > Cancel Current Operation, as well as Server > Disconnect, were both dimmed out. Even at that, I would think that Stop Process and Erase Queue would intuitively be under Transfer.

It would be nice if you could make the queue stop after the current transfer has finished.

When a folder is chosen to download from a remote repository, via drag and drop for example, the remote directory tree browser expands each folder individually. This overrides any user actions, and renders the remote directory tree browser effectively inoperable until all files and sub-folders have been located.

Although I can see the point in showing the user the files that are going to be downloaded, often these flash past too fast to see. As the browser is in-essence a user interface, I believe it makes sense to keep it usable by the user during this time.

A feature to prevent this behaviour, effectively performing the retrieval of directory listings and filling the transfer queue in the background, would allow a user to continue browsing the remote repository for other files.

Ideally, the user's browsing of the remote directory tree would also take priority over any automated/queued retrievals.

FireFTP is great piece of software but sometimes i can't finish all downloads from one or more servers so it would be nice to have the feature of finishing all active transfers for all or only one specified server and keep the rest in the queue (but inactive until next activation) This would help avoiding transfers that can't be finished in a session.

I tried to stop both the files' downloading and the exploration of the tree (huge, more than 8 minutes) of the distant site using a ctrl-p. It effectively stopped the downloading of files, but not the tree exploration.

Is there a facility to stop the tree exploration from the distant site ?

When using "Ask for password" or "Interactive" logon types, FileZilla asks for the password. It offers "Remember password for this session". This option however is always ticked. So even when unticking it and entering the password, the next time the password is asked, that option is ticked again.

Store this option (in session) for name/host/user pair so that it stays unchecked if the user unchecked it.

The ability to trigger a stored job would be incredibly useful, especially if it was coupled with a command line of some description.

Being able to press an up arrow and hit enter to transfer 10 files I'm modifying every few minutes would save a lot of clicking and dragging, changing my current folder, etc.

Basically:

• Ability to create, modify, save and delete macros to

transfer a file, files, or directory structure

• Ability to do this with a minimum of mousework.

The main reason for this is that with the mouse I find I am constantly losing focus on the areas I need, can't select a bunch of files really quickly (I have to minimise FileZilla, go to explorer, select, drag-n-drop), and that's distracting.

In order to allow use of the ftp software in a multi-user and/or multi-site environment, it would be great if the software would store the site manager inside a database (MySql or MS SQL).

I always change the "Action after queue completion" when working with FileZilla, so I would like to be able to store my preferred default in the Settings. I believe this would sit in the "Interface" part, although it could go under "Transfers" or somewhere new. Happy to help further with this request but it needs agreement first.

I uploaded some files using storj web and rclone, and then browsed through filezilla and found that some files were of zero size and could not be downloaded. There is no problem with rclone and storj web.

When downloading it shows error:

Error:	download failed receiving data: object not found: segment not found: segment missing

After looking at the discussion on the storj forum, it seems that the problem is caused by using an old version of libuplink.

I added 315943 files to the queue. Filezilla just cycles through 'elapsed time' and 'Transferring' on two files but not actually transferring them.

I've had this queue trying to transfer for over a week and a half. I've stopped the queue and reinitiated several times.

Initially the transfer was interrupted by the computer being restarted and I haven't been able to resume this transfer. Please let me know if you have any ideas on how to fix this issue. Thank you

It would be very helpful if the following features were available in FileZilla Client:

1. Being able to apply a style to edited files to visually indicated their edited state. For example, I would like to make those files show up with bold text. Ideally, this would apply to the corresponding remote files in the remote pane, also.

2. Being able to apply custom, user-specified styles (text/background color, bold/italic, etc.) to files by their file extension, or even better, using a filename pattern. (e.g., system*.log). Thus the file entries would show up in the local and remote panels with those styles.

3. Being able to specify a default style for files in the local and remote panels.

These would allow users to more quickly spot relevant files in a long list of files.

I recently was uploading a set of directories with FileZilla Client via SFTP, with most of the queued directories containing subdirectories. I noticed that the subdirectories are placed in the queue AFTER all of the parent directories. In most cases this is not a concern, but it makes it very tedious to remove or add items to/from the queue while it is not completely finished, and gives a false sense that a directory is "done transferring" halfway through the queue, when in reality its contents may not be transferred until much later. In my case, the destination has very limited disk space and I wanted to move directories out of the destination before the queue completed, and I was unable to do this reliably.

I feel it is more functional to position a queued directory's subdirector(y|ies) immediately after their parent directory in the queue, rather than at the end of all the other parent directories. That would be a much more intuitive queueing order to most users, I believe.

To Reproduce:

Start a transfer queue of multiple directories at once (shift+click to select many, perhaps, then begin the transfer), where at at least one of the directories queued has contents within a subdirectory. Observe the queue "finish" the files that were in the directory, then interrupt the transfer (to simulate a full disk, for example). At first glance, it appears a directory's queue entries were successfully processed, but in reality there is are entire other sets of files still waiting at the end of the queue. A natural urge in a disk full situation would be to move some of the "completed" transfers out of the destination, but in this case, that would be disastrous, as the contents of their subdirectories have not yet transferred.

Proposed solution:

Always append subdirectory contents immediately after their parent directory's contents in the transfer queue.

start date and time end date and time duration

I am interested in seeing duration displayed, though start and end date/time are potentially more useful and can be used to calculate duration.

This will be helpful for logging transfer times when testing performance.
