The current versions of FileZilla and the FileZilla Server Interface have some colour issues. I recently changed my computer's colour scheme to be mainly white-on-black. Unfortunately it seems some of the text has been hardcoded to black, so I can't see any of it!

Is it possible to have it use the Windows theme-colours, or provide a customization option somewhere?

It will be good to show the status of the download/upload process on the taskbar, instead of just showing FileZilla label, so it's possible to check the progress without the need to restore the window.

Please allow the FileZilla's temporary directory (C:\Temp\fz3temp-1) to be configurable. We work with confidential files and I would like these temporary files to be stored on an encrypted local disk.

I know these files are normally deleted at the end of a session, but there is a possibility the files could be left unencrypted if the program or computer crashed unexpectedly.

Also, I am not sure if the Temp files are wiped securely from c:\temp when they are deleted normally.

I'd like to see the 'transfer type' (ASCII|Binary) added to each of the entries in the status/history pane at the bottom.

When transferring at least two files in parallel from the filezilla client to an SFTP-server and I enable speed limits by using the right-click menu at the bottom right, the queued files list freezes. During that time all transfer bars and speed indicators are frozen and do not update most of the time. For short periods of time the indicators may unfreeze for a few seconds until they freeze again. If speed limits are disabled then the queued list is unfrozen.

Tried transferring two different files, both of which failed multiple times after transferring EXACTLY 393,216 bytes! _ Error: Connection timed out Error: File transfer failed after transferring 393,216 bytes in 24 seconds _ Here is a full listing of my session:

Steps to reproduce:

• connect to a server
• wait some time, so the connection times out
• upload a file: filezilla will automatically reconnect in order to upload the file
• wait until the upload finishes

Expected result:

• the remote directory listing should automatically be refreshed and you should see the file you just uploaded

Observed result:

• the remote directory listing is NOT refreshed, and you don't see the file you just uploaded

In the console window where you see all the commands and responses, you do see a message saying "directory listing succesfull", so I guess filezilla does retrieve the listing but it fails to show the updated directory listing in the display on the right.

If you manually refresh using the refresh button, then you'll see the directory listing refreshed including the just uploaded file.

This only happens when you upload a file after the connection has timed out (and filezilla automatically reconnects). If you are already connected when you do the upload, then the refresh does work correctly and you seen the refreshed list as soon as the upload is finished.

Could you place a box in each local/remote panes to search in displayed files and folders? Like Firefox search box that searches in folder tree (that are displayed) and highlights matched files in tree

Currently with the IP filter there is no way to tell what IP is for what purpose/person, it is just a big ugly list. This makes it near impossible to manage unless you maintain a separate list of the IP's and who they belong to. So giving an IP temp access or trying to remove access later is a royal PITA.

It would be more useful if each IP could have a label with it to identify what it is for. So have it in a MULTIPLE SELECT list rather than a text area so IP's can easily be selected and removed e.g. 1.2.3.4 - ACME.com temp access for support 2.3.4.5 - Head office 3.4.5.6 - Dave - Contractor

It would also be very handy if IP filters could have rules.

e.g. Allow Indefinitely Allow for x days then disable Allow for x days then remove

I have just updated FZ client to new version, noticed that the date format has changed to mm/dd/yy. Before update this was dd/mm/yy as per system settings (UK, Windows 8, 64-bit). Checked the setting in Filezilla and the default is selected (use system default). It seems this is being ignored.

When renaming a remote file, if you click outside the renaming box instead of press enter key, fileZilla blocks and have to reconnect again

Time in log files is in GMT, not local. For example, there is a log entry "2021-09-18T10:53:00.059Z << [FTP Session 140..." In my case, local time would be 2021-09-18T13:53:00.059 +0300

I suggest an option to use GMT or local time in server's Logging settings

According to this wiki page ​https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Command-line_arguments_(Server) there are several CLI arguments. It seems as if this page is outdated as almost non of the parameters work:

I encounter sevral problems to configure the server via the administration GUI, the keyboard navigation could be difficult and the screenreader NVDA version 2021.3.1 doesn't work with all components of the GUI.

The biggest problem is the datagrids, for example the configuration for users dirrectories access but all components of this type are problematic. When I use the "tab" key to focus this type of elements it's not possible to move in it with keys or to quit it with "tab" (I must use a shortcut). So it's not possible to select an item in the array and to configure it correctly, this is a big regression cause with the old GUI these problems wasn't present. Also, the datagrids are not announced correctly by the screenreader if I try to modify something in it, I must exit the settings and reload them to have a small access.

Also, when I add a new user or with the list elements of this type, the focus is blocked in the list with the possibility to up or down the selected item but I haven't access to the other options and, if I navigate without adding a nex element, I can't move up or down the selected element. I don't know if this happen also when I modify or copy the selected element but it's also a big problem.

An other problem, the dialog box creation for a SSL certificat has a strange behaviour with the tabindex so it's realy difficult to use it only with the keyboard.

I've also see something that I haven't understand, in the user configuration in the "General" tab, my screenreader indicate me a combobox just after the password field (always using "Tab" key to navigate) but I can't interract with it.

In conclusion the old interface was realy better for the accessibility and keyboard navigation, using a contextual menu in lists was far better than this new interface, etc..., this new interface is probably more modern than the old one but very less usable for visualy impaired people or for those who don't use the mouse. I hope this can be fixed, I realy apreciate Filezilla Server but for now the only solution that I have found is to install an old version (under 1.0.0), configure it and reinstall a new version but if I want to change something it could be realy difficult.

Using the Administration Interface (v1.6.1) when multiple transfers are happening and I resize the main window or just the transfer window the display of the current transfers disappears.

This is just visual "icing", but it would be nice to have the actual TCP port (((217*256) + 7) = 55559) for passive connections logged immediately after the server response "Entering Passive Mode (...". Something like what is seen in the FlashFXP FTP client would be nice:

We have a need for GSS authentication, but without encryption after connecting. I believe Filezilla is essentially sending the "private" command to the FTP server.

Basically, we need the same functionality as if you started the unix command line 'ftp' without the '-x' option.

I'd be more than happy to work with your developers to make this happen.

The up directory button for the remote server is within the directory tree structure. When you have a directory with a large amount of files that you sort in different ways you often have to keep scrolling up and down to find the "Up 1 Directory" button.

It would be nicer if it was a permanent button just to the left of the "Remote Site" Label so that you could change directories without having to scroll

I know about this bug very long time and I have still hoped that this bug will be fixed in new a release but I have mistaken. :)

So where is the problem ? I will write how reproduce the bug.

Create direcory e.g. test/ and in this direcory create directory .svn/ (or file .svn), turn on "Directory listing filters" and create filter which will filter .svn direcory(or file) and try upload this direcory. Filezilla doesn't upload this directory.

It works with any number of filtered items. But if directory contain some or only one unfiltered dir or file, then the directory will be uploaded.

It affects downloading as well and when You try delete that directory with filtered dir or files on FTP!, Filezilla doesn't delete that folder.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Right-click a file, and click "View / Edit".
2. Open the menu File -> Show files currently being edited...
3. Click on the file we had selected for editing before, and click "Upload and unedit".

Note that the file remains in the status "Uploading..." and is never removed from the list. If I close the dialog and attempt to re-open it, FileZilla tells me there are no files to edit.

It should instead remove the file from the list, and, if I shouldn't have the dialog open when there are no more files to edit, it should pop the same alert as when I tried to open the dialog when no files were being edited.

I set this to low priority because FileZilla does not crash, and it's hard, if not impossible, to actually crash it through this bug. I also set it to Windows, but it may apply to other operating systems as well.

When the destination file already exist, and we click on "Cancel" on the dialog window, the transfer is not done,

but the transfer is added in Successfull transfers list This is not correct.

Some special FTP servers may require that ALLO command is used in upload. One could implement option for that.

FileZilla v3.5.1 does not delete edited local file (manually downloaded *not* edited on-the-fly) when checkbox "Finish editing and delete local file" is checked.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start FileZilla
2. Connect to FTP
3. Drag-and-drop file from remote panel (or use "download" option from context menu) to local dir, edit it and save changes.
4. A confirm box appears and asks you: "Finish editing and delete local file?" Check this option and click yes / no. Local file is *not* deleted.

Note: edited file is deleted (if checkbox is selected then file is deleted regardless which button I click - and that's ok in my opinion :)) when editing on-the-fly (using context-menu option called: "view / edit".

I don't know if this should help but this problem exists from some previous stable versions of FileZilla (or is it just my imagination?).

In FileZilla, it is possible to select in the preferences how file sizes are shown. If I select for example the IEC style (KiB = Kibibyte = 1024 Byte) instead the default "Byte" option (=no KB,MB,GB,etc. just Bytes), FileZilla applies this perfectly to everywhere where file size appear, EXCEPT when one file gets transferred. Then, in the transfer queue, the transfer speed of all is still shown in the "KB/s" (for example) format instead of the "KiB/s" format which I selected in the options. All other file size numbers are formatted as selected in the settings. It seems the shown transfer speed completely ignores my settings; it also shows "KB/s" if I selected to show only Bytes.

It would be nice if the QuickConnect button would copy the information it uses into the Host/Username/Port boxes.

That way if, for eg, my password changes, or I want to use the same credentials for a new host, I don't need to retype them all - only the bits that are different.

Since I moved from a city to rural satellite Internet which has both peak and off-peak data usage allowances, I've been having to stay up until the off-peak time kicks in to start my filezilla queues (system backups, updates, etc).

I was hoping there would be a process queue schedule feature in Filezilla by now, but since there isn't, I decided to dive into the source and hammer one in.

I've included my patch to the svn revision 4558. It seemed to work on my workstation here which is running Fedora 16.

It's a rather simple on/off schedule mechanism. Go into the Edit menu -> Preferences and look for the new "Queue" page. You can either:

• set filezilla to start processing the queue on startup (useful to create a queue, exit, and just schedule filezilla to start later with system level scheduler such as at)

and/or

• enable scheduling (in which case you put a start and end time in the appropriate fields, 24 hour time, so midnight is 00:00)

Then create your queue, and leave filezilla running and the queue should start and stop processing at the specified times.

Filezilla is way more useful selecting specific files and managing the queue than command line clients, but needs a touch of automation (which is what computers are for).

After I disconnect the second monitor, I can't no longer access the bounder of the program so I can not resize the window. That let's me in an incapacity of acceding my configured connection. I can't no longer use filezilla.

In the newest FTP client version (3.45.0), when selecting the Refresh button, all folders in the local site view close, and the view jumps to the top of the directory tree. This never used to occur. This is highly irritating as I have to navigate back to the folder in which I was working and dig back into any subfolders I had open after every single refresh.

I created a server definition for a subdomain prior to the latest release of FileZilla. It works perfectly.

I just created a new server definition of another subdomain after the latest release. The remote folder is not displaying.

If I use the SPECIAL FTP access AND specify the REMOTE folder, then I can see the remote folder, but only then.

Note: I have the same problem with any new definitions I create, whether subdomain or not.

I've been using Filezilla for a long time now but I have always been concerned about the really low level of security it provided regarding to password storage - that is to say, no security (clear text). On Windows there are even now malwares that have been targeting Filezilla sitemanager.xml file....

So as I spare had time 2 days ago I decided to make a patch.

Here is what currently works:

• Turning on password encryption in the settings window and entering the master password.
• Storing the master password (encrypted using itself as password key) in the FileZilla.xml options
• Turning off password encryption...
• Starting filezilla in password encrypted mode and entering the master password at the start up of the application (if the user does not want to enter any password then FileZilla will close).
• Building on GNU/Linu x86

I use the Crypto++ cross platform library which has integrated packages for most GNU/Linux distributions and has a non-viral license.

What I would need help for, in order to finalize this patch:

• Explanations about the build process of FileZilla. I added a class called CCrypto (following the current naming conventions in the source code) and for now I edited manually the makefiles to get it building but that's just a quick-dirty-fix and we have to put the right things in the right place for autoconf and libtool to recognize everything. • Light help on handling password fields. For now I use text fields and this not very pretty :)

• Information about possible edge cases that come as a consequence of the changes I made (in terms of dealing with password in filezilla, I'd need to know if there are some tricky part of filezilla dealing with passwords that I should have a look at, to make sure the patch is compatible)

What still needs to be developped:

• Converting the password when changing the master password (decrypting them with the former one and encrypting them again with the new one).
• Decrypting the passwords when the user turns off the encryption

For now these two cases obviously end up with encrypted passwords that are not decryptable (because no master password or master password has changed).

What could be improved : Randomly generating a salt / iv (instead of hardcoded ones) when turning on encryption and then storing them in the settings file.

I am using AES by the way.

This patch is not intended to provide military security. It is intended to provide standard security that should be implemeted in every software storing password (like Firefox, Thunderbird, Opera... and even WinSCP (that has a CRAP UI but master password feature !!!).

I do not provide a patch file for now but you can see the changes I made by searching for the string "@td". That's a tag that I put where I make changes.

BTW I do not know if I can branch the SVN repo instead of holding the stuff on Github...? I think I need additional rights for that.

FileZilla Client 3.7.3 OS: Windows 7 SP1 x64

This is a resurrection of client bug #790 (which was closed due to inactivity). I was not the person who filed that originally. I am the senior FTP support specialist with Novell Worldwide Support. I will base this report description on the older one, but will update it:

Novell's FTP server software allows one to access the files on ANY Novell file server in their directory tree, using this syntax: cwd server/volume/dir/subdir

And some Novell FTP servers will even let someone's home directory be in that format.

This feature is sometimes referred to at Novell as a "FTP Gateway" where one FTP server can give users access to an entire Directory Tree of servers. We also call it our "remote server" feature.

Novell FTP server is (to my knowledge) the only FTP server in the world to provide this feature. So admittedly, this effects only a subset of your user base. But when FileZilla (3.7.3) sees such a syntax (through pwd output), or when you enter a path into Filezilla's "remote site" field, such as "server1/volume1/path/" Filezilla often strips off the first '/' character. This seems to especially be a problem when using the QuickConnect button to start a session, rather than Site Manager. But I've had customers complain of it even when using Site Manager.

Because of this, anytime Filezille wants to reference the absolute path in a command, it references "/server1/..." instead of "server1/...". This difference causes the Novell FTP server to look for a local path (local to the FTP server) called "/server1/..." rather than access the separate host machine "server1". And thereby, it returns a '550 invalid path' error, or similar.

I would be happy to work closely with you to pursue this issue. Many of our common customer would benefit from having Filezilla know that (at least with Novell servers) it should preserve double-slash syntax rather than strip it off. Also, please note that not every Novell FTP server would be using this syntax. So it wouldn't be as simple as saying, "build every absolute path for Novell beginning with a double slash." Instead, it will be a matter of looking at what syntax is given (via PWD or via user input) and if it begins with "" preserve that rather than strip it to "/".

I will quote the following from the older bug as well, though I have not verified all of this:

Another FTP client, NCFtp (www.ncftp.com) had the same issue a few versions back, but has since been fixed. WS_FTP on Windows, Fetch and Transmit on Mac OSX, and the command line FTP program on any Mac/Linux/Windows system all work correctly with this functionality and do not have this issue.

That is not to say that all those clients fully understand and automatically correctly use the "" syntax. But in many cases, clients don't insist on referencing the absolute path as much as Filezilla does, so they will often "just work" where Filezilla doesn't.

I'm using FZ version 3.10.0.2 on OSX Yosemite 10.10.1 (Screenshot of about page here if needed - ​http://puu.sh/eUSkv/3e8a32fc64.png ). FZ was installed today so as far as I can see this is the most recent official release I can use (and was an auto update).

Details of the issue

• Search using the following details (changing 'custom_template' to the necessary name

As you can see, this correctly displays the list of files and directories containing the keywords. Note the directory is completely empty.

I then select all items, and right click -> download... with the following details and hit OK. I am then left with this structure locally Note the directory has been placed at the root, not in the catalog/view/theme/default/template/ directory

Not sure if it's related, but if I remove the "Filename" rule in the search, it doesn't find the empty directory. That may be intended, but thought it was worth noting. Please correct me if that's not the case

This started quite a few updates ago. I searched for the symbol using gdb and can't find it. I suspect either libfilezilla or WXwidgets but haven't searched those yet. I have updated WXwidgets, libfilezilla and filezilla. Ubuntu 14.04 is also current with all updates.

This is probably something simple I'm missing, but I don't know what it is.

Following the recent update Filezilla now drops out after about 10mins even though I'm using to constantly. Any thoughts please?

Since I have updated to latest version I am constantly getting corrupt .rar files. Seems to hang at end of file, I let it run it's course and finally finishes then when I extract I get a corrupt file. I do not get this using any other client and I know my sources to be good. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit 8core 4 ghz AMD FX Black series CPU 16GB Vengence DDR3 RAM 1066 (shows in MSI suite) Also since FileZilla_3.15.0_win64-setup (I apologize I did not search database for this bug)now seems to hang after downloading a release within 5 minutes it won't refresh directory. Hi,I'm encountering a problem that is after I upload a folder to my ftp server (by using filezilla) I found out that I couldn't access the folder after my first access to it (In and out and then can't get in again), it will say "no such file or directory" what is even strange,is that after I add a additional charter after the original file name and then upload again for example original file name is "abcde12(Z.1_123)" I changed it into "abcde12(Z.1_123)-1" I can access the folder normally , others using the same ftp server didn't counter this question.

Steps to reproduce:

• upload a folder or a few folders containing a few hundred files
• Give focus to some other application other than FileZilla

Expected result:

• When the upload is complete, you get a notification telling you that all the files have been succesfully transferred (or not). On Ubuntu it's a rectangle on the top-right of the screen just below the notification area, which pops up and disappears after a few seconds.

Observed result: This happens systematically with some given folders but not others, but I haven't found the pattern. The folders that reproduce the issue do so systematically, the ones that don't never do. Ths issue is:

• when the transfer is finished, the notification pops up dozens of times, consecutively. You can see the popup vanish and reappear immediately every few seconds. In total, it can stay several minutes.

I guess that the popup is showed a number of times equal to the number of files transferred, or more probably, the number of files that satisfy certain conditions.

Please don't underestimate and the severity of this bug and lower the priority: besides being extremely annoying, if you do a few transfers of several files each, the notifications will pile up indefinitely, and if eventually you have some transfer error, it may take literally HOURS until you finally see the notification with the error.

Actually, the whole way transfer errors are managed is poorly designed, but that's another story and it will take me a while to file a complete report (or a bunch of reports) about that.

This one issue is pretty specific though.

Symptoms: Log onto remote site : occasionally remote folders and file listings do not show - (remote panel completely blank). However, if the app window is re-sized, folders & file list suddenly shows correctly. Seemingly random, often initial login is ok - folders & files all listed. But click on a remote folder and the remote pane shows blank or is 'half filled' with listing.

Causes/triggers: Can't see a pattern / can't identify any particular folder attributes that trigger it.

Workaround: But always re-sizing of the Filezilla app will magically fix it (for that view only), folders & files will appear as normal. But go into another folder and the problem is back.

Very frustrating - v. difficult to work with this issue.

Tested across two machines, two different users: exactly the same problem - both users have same OS and Filezilla Versions.

I used Filezilla for some years now and didn't change anything with my configuration, I just updated the version whenever Filezilla asked me to.

The last months I could see that a download of my whole FTP seems to work as usual, but some files will get the file size 0 although on the FTP they have a size > 0. I can re-download them and all is good.

This is only for appr. 20 files of 30,000, but always different files. I download the whole FTP every week and always see this mad behaviour.

I think this is critical.

The "Target file already exists" dialog box doesn't handle source or destination filenames in directories with long names or deep paths, as it pushes the Actions part of the dialog off the far right of the dialog rending the options unreadable.

This dialog cannot be resized either, meaning one has to either have memorised the Actions or simply guess!

FileZilla's Shell Extension on Windows 10 AU Build 14393 causes Explorer.exe to either hang or crash when creating or renaming folders through the normal context menu method (right click, new folder/rename). This oddly only happens on the second folder and for all subsequent attempts until Explorer process is terminated manually or restarts on its own after crash. Steps to replicate: On desktop, or in explorer folder window, right click, create new folder. (First folder creates fine.) Create another folder via same method, Explorer hangs/crashes. Same thing with rename functionality of an existing folder.

I have verified this by disabling FileZilla's shell extension and subsequently experiencing expected outcome of folder creating without lag/hang/crash. Unfortunately, with FileZilla's SE disabled, I can no longer drag files from FileZilla to the desktop directly.

I updated to the new version of Filezilla today and now my pdf files are not uploading. Laura

Since versions 3.22.0, 3.22.1 and 3.22.2.1 the program crashes a few seconds after the program opens. I've tried uninstalling the program completely and reinstalling, restart the computer, clean the windows registry and still the problem persists. If you use any version prior to 3.22.0 the program works normally. If I run the program in administrator mode the program works.

Since the last update of Filezilla, 1 November, the program won't connect to my server.

With the latest version of Filezilla, my uploads often stop with 1 second left although the bite count appears to be complete. This seems to happen with large files more frequently (100GB-300GB, .wav files).

On file upload, the client claims the file already exists, prompting the overwrite/skip options.

On client start, when attempting to connect to an SFTP server, the following message appeared in the message log and the connection appeared frozen:

Error:	Unknown command: "99"

The following also appears to be related to the file already existing:

Error:	get attrs for [file path]: no such file or directory

When attempting to open a file, the client does nothing the first time "View/Edit" is clicked. I must click it a second time to open the file. This issue seems specific to version 3.23.0.2 as the issue did not exist in previous versions.

Apologies if any part of this exists as a bug report already, but upon skimming 400+ open reports, I failed to see a report specific to these issues.

I have transferred various files to a customers FTP server and they can see them all on their end. However, I am unable to see some of the files from my FileZilla Client. I can transfer them again and I get the replace/discard dialog telling me that the files are already there.

Hello. Yesterday I tried to use FileZilla but it would not connect or give any indication it was responsive.

On the right hand side, there is a message saying it is not connected to a server, but, if I click the rapid connection button, it says I am already connected, and do I want to break the connection.

It was working fine the last time I used it.

I have tried reinstalling but it makes no difference. It just opens up exactly the same.

Since I use NET (internet connection provider in Brazil) it is very rare (bellow 1%) to connect to any server using SFTP. But using SFTP/FTP on Sublime, it's ok to connect. TLS is not accessible on FileZilla too. But using insecure connection it's always ok. When I was customer from a different Internet provider, everything was ok.

Even after updating to 3.25.1 unable to connect to old servers

In the Filter rules / conditions section user can filter out what he likes.

Would it be possible to also have the whitelisting approach here? I mean first I would exclude everything and then I would add files / folders individually, thus letting them be processed.

I did not elaborate it well yet but it could be the opposite of the current method.

I have tried the different options in the Interface prefs. However, still find it difficult to navigate using any one of them.

It would help if I could have just three panes: Remote, Local, and Status, and double-clicking a dir moves me up one level (in both local and remote panes), and history back and forward buttons at the top. The Status parked at the bottom with an arrow button to furl/unfurl on demand, and option to resize it.

I would think it's a lot of work, so don't expect to see it anytime soon but am hoping against hope it's already on the cards and my request will tip the balance.

Using Filezilla when Master Password is implemented, after restarting and opening a connection through the Site Manager, entering the Master Password, Filezilla sends the wrong password to the SFTP server. Re-entering the password into the Site Manager and clicking Connect works, clicking OK does not save the password, restarting Filezilla and connecting results in authentication failed. Clearing the Master Password does not solve the issue, have to re-enter the Site Entries manually in order for it to remember them again.

After downloading the update to version 3.26.1 I get an error message every time I start and end filezilla. See enclosed image. Refresh does not work properly in the new release

When I try to rename file, after it's done, app freeze and I have to shutdown it and start again. Which is bad, when I have open multi files and I have to resave them manually (copy + paste) and save to server again.

As of 2 days ago, I receive the above, after "426 Data connection closed, SSL / TLS negotiation failed". Attached is the complete log and client/server information.

There is a bug on the Linux version of Filezilla Client that if there is a directory called "sync" in either the local or remote site, it will mess up the synchronized browsing for all directories/files listed after the "sync" directory".

I can provide more details if necessary (screenshots, etc).

The Navigation column on the left side of https://filezilla-project.org/ is too narrow, causing its contents to "spill" into the center column (body).

3) Download appears to have worked, but the software doesn't recognize the fact.

4) There could be something with my computer that is causing a problem, but shouldn't that result in a different status message?

5) It appears that you have sent ou version 3.29 without the ability for it to update itself? So I will see if I can do a manual update to 3.30.

6) Lord help the non-technical fans of Filezilla!!

It takes 130 hours to download 4Gb with a 10Mb/s download speed. If I use google drive or Teamviewer to download the same file it takes me 20 minutes or 2 hours for the same file. Try it on this moment also, it will take 8 hours (still to go)

The provider checked the internet connection already, changed the cable and modem. Speedtest result is 11Mb/s almost every test.

What can I do?

Not possible to delete one shot more than 4000 files. When you have to delete more than 4000 files, Filezilla will stop between 3000 and 4000. To erase more, you need to wait or disconnect and wait the synchronisation. It is painful when you have 10000 or more files to erase (storage of security ipcam images for instance). Problem with an OVH Cloud 3 VPS loaded with Debian 9. Problem also with Debian 9 on my PC. Although the password is good, the connection is refused with a network error.

When I try to upload files and folders now, instead of properly doing so, filezilla client on windows 10 is using a dot instead of a slash for the last part of a path in a directory name or file name.

For instance, if I try to upload a file into my root public_html directory (centos 7/cPanel) for any domain, where the file name is for instance, index.html and the upload path is /home/myadm/public_html, instead of placing the file in the public_html folder, filezilla is creating the file in /home/myadm as public_html.index.html.

Similarly, if I try to upload style.css to /home/myadm/public_html/css, instead, filezilla is creating a file in /home/myadm, called public_html.css.style.css.

Hi, Today I opened my FileZilla, as in every day for several years. In the opening, I had an update to be made dating July 23rd, 2018 for the version 3.35.1. I clicked to Update. After a few seconds, an error message appears to me, "an error arrived at the update". I had only the choice of the button "Cancel". I clicked to cancel. Afterward I had no more icon of FileZilla on my desktop, on my fast bar, nothing. I verified those folders of FileZilla.

There were only 3 folders. The first one is: C:\Program Files\FileZilla FTP Client\ with a single entitled file "Uninstall".

The second one is : C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\ with 1 SQLITE3 file and 6 XML Documents.

The last one is: C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\FileZilla\ with around 320 PNG files.

I had no execute file, or file to updated. I could not use the software. I restarted the PC and nothing changed. I am not certainly the only one to have had this problem. I would have liked registering you the code of error and the exact text, but I clicked on the button too fast. Sorry.

For now I downloaded the complete version on your site. That works. I had a waste of considerable time for my company.

I have a Windows 10 virtual machine on a Mac. In windows explorer, I have 2 drives, "Home on 'Mac' (Y:)" and "AllFiles on 'Mac' (Z:). In prior versions of FileZilla, these drive show on my local site: side.

Although I work mostly in Windows, I store some things on the Mac side.

I updated my FileZilla to the current version, 3.36, and now those Mac drives no longer show. Looking through all the menu items and icons, I cannot figure out if there is some setting that has them not show or what to do to have them show.

To confirm that I could see those drives in a prior version, I downloaded an older version and they just show up in the local site tree.

Issue: I have no network connectivity issues between client and target. Filezilla connects just fine and can navigate around and upload small file. I recently upgraded to 3.37.0 and ever since then when i try to upload a large file (1.5G .zip file) it starts the trasnfer, gets to about 800 kb and then Errors out with Network Error: Software caused connetion abort. File Transfer failed. I tried using another ftp client and the trasfer worked just fine. I've been using filezilla with this server for years with no issues until recently.

Hi, I have a client that is using FileZilla to connect to our internal server over a VPN tunnel. He can connect but then will periodically get disconnected with a "failed to retrieve directory listing".

I can connect to the same server using the same FileZilla version as he is and have no issues. Also there are two subfolders within the root. They are not displaying for him but are for me. If he manually enters the folder name in the Remote site field he can get into the folder with no issues.

He's connecting using FTPS on port 990.

Files that have already been received and deleted/transferred from the FTP are re-downloading and creating duplicates. This is happening on my end and on my manager's end. We have 13 to 14 users on our FTP site and I am the only person she is getting duplicate files from and I am the only one getting duplicate files in my queue as well. As per the summary, the quick connect bar only is displayed in full screen mode. In normal screen mode the upper part of the winder is white. The first are that is displayed is Local site:

Using a modal dialog to prompt the user on startup to update the application is an extremely intrusive method of delivering updates.

You guys are continuously delivering updates, so the user is continuously being prompted to update every time they open the application.

It's an extra click and a chance to accidentally begin updating, when the user may be in a situation where they need to connect to a server as quickly as they possibly can.

There are many other options you could use that would be better...

• Display an icon somewhere on the application that the user can click on to deliver an update.
• Prompt on closing the application.
• Just let the user manually check for updates through the Help->Check for Updates menu option.
