By going to ""Server / Force show hidden files"" and enable this, you are presented with a pop-up window claiming that servers not showing hidden files even whn the -a opion is not included in the LIST/ll command, are broken. The opposite is actually the case. Servers should not default to ignore the hidden file functionality. The hidden file functionality is there for a reason. Whether or not the client should show hidden files by default is a question of taste. However, the placement of the toggle option is maybe not the best. I personally looked for it in the View menu.
