    77- offering the user a way to recheck the timezone setting once he has noticed an inconsistency, hopefully testing on a better file/folder (and the user could be allowed to test on THIS file/folder)
    88- making FZ more consistent in the file/folder it chooses : either the first or the last of the directory list. So that we could eventually consistently trick him by touching an appropriately named file.

     10... and a third : ftp mode never fails. I don't know how the server offset is calculated, but if there would be a possibility to compute it the same way it would also be an option.
