Description (last modified by Tim Kosse)

Filezilla doesn't support SCP, WinSCP doesn't support FTP.

The WinSCP-Developer stated under
http://winscp.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=197
that FPT will be included in WinSCP if anyone develops it.
As FileZilla is a great existing FTP-Client, why don't
exchange
the sources among other. FileZilla can be improved with
SCP-Suport and WinSCP can be improved with FTP-Support.

Would you please contact the WinSCP-Developer:
http://winscp.sourceforge.net

Thanks,

Alex

More of a feature request than a support request, moving and
assigning to BotG.

This can be easily implemented by providing a menu item
with a customizable call to any user specified putty like
client, where the external ssh shell terminal program will be
invoked by passing the authentication, as well as the current
directory information, so that shell will open with cd to that
directory. Fairly simple to implement!

SCP support won't ever be implemented, it lacks necessary functionality. Use SFTP instead.
