    1 I was not asking you to handle the file locking, any file syncing solution can deal with that itself.
     1I was not asking you to handle the file locking, simply make this fundamental function possible for users.

    33If you're going to explicitly rule out synchronization then you've effectively declared yourself a dead project. I already need an FTP and Terminal client on my phone, I need an FTP client that can work cross platform and manage the sites I use regularly. This is a multi device world and you're clearly not prepared for that.
