There is probably a third-party program that keeps monopolizing the clipboard. Another explanation can be damaged system files, in that case a full system reinstall helps.

    1 I have tried to "Copy URL(s) to clipboard" for files in the ftp listing window, via the Context menu and I get an error message that says " Failed to put data in Clipboard (error -2147221040: openClipboard Failed) " Is this something I am doing wrong? in the http://nomasvirus.com/
