Using most recnt client at this writing (3.3.2.1) I have previously and successfully transferred files to my cox.net host space. Today, whether it was a jpg, png, bmp, gif, or pdf the transfer went without error and in a proportionate amount of time for the file size, but on the host all times but one they appeared as zero bytes and were not usable. One time they filled in with the appropriate host file size, but were found to fail to display, and on refresh were zero bytes after all. I didn't try non-image file types so they may have had the same problem. I tried this multiple times in multiple sessions and after restarts. I also changed from AUTO to Binary, and turned passive on/off with no change in outcome.

Implement the "edit/view file" option in the context menu of local and remote filelists, as it appeared in FileZilla 2.

While manually downloading the MacOS app compress, decompressing it manually and copying it to the Applications folder is somewhat tedious. Would it be a possibility to implement Sparkle? It's an easy to use open source update framework for macOS applications.

When using implicit FTP (PORT 990) it seems that the FileZilla Server (0.9.20) is requiring PBSZ 0 and PROT P to be passed to it for the data connection.

This is defined in the RFC2228 (​http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2228.html), but the RFC does not indicate whether it's for Implicit or Explicit. Many clients do not have this by default for implicit mode.

However, I'm not sure whether this might be a bug instead since I didn't have the "force PROT P to encrypt data channel in SSL/TLS mode" option checked.

You could probably protect me from myself. Presumably FileZilla could tell the difference between a Filezilla XML Queue file, and a Filezilla XML Settings file.

Typo in the dialog that comes up when you import an older filezilla.xml file. "Due to the differences in the storage formt," Format needs an o. I'm using beta 11

I've installed the new version, but gives me no option to import my previous account settings that are stored in my Filezilla.xml file. What a time-saver that would be!

There could be also an import / export feature for the sitemanager to import sites / folders. Why not a drag/drop feature to change position of servers/folders.

I am running FileZilla 1.8.2 on an NT4.0 workstation

1. conneted to a server
2. add file(s)to the transfer queue
3. Export the transfer queue to a text file (foo.txt)
4. remove file(s) from queue
5. verify that text file is created

5.1 (optional) close and restart FileZilla 5.2 (optional) reconnect to server

6. Import Transfer queue from file (foo.txt)
7. Nothing happens - files are *not* added to

Transfer Queue. The Transfer Queue remains empty. There is no error measage.

I had hoped that Queue Import and Export was a method of storing a complex download scheme for reuse - this feature is not documented in the help file as to how and why it may be used. I tried to get it to work for a single file in the queue as well as a more complex file structure. The Queue export feature appeares to be working correctly ( it creates a text file showing file transfer information ) but the import feature seems to do nothing.

Since the last version I can't edit files when I double clic on a file in the "server" columne. Before the last version I had no problem. It seems that the file is download but the associated program is don't launched, I have try to force the association for files with no success.

WAIT, don't just close this, I know this is due to bugs on servers. Please read on.

I know that the "Server did not properly shut down TLS connection - ECONNABORTED" issue is caused by servers with bugs that create a security vulnerability. However, for those of us who LOVE FileZilla as a client, but don't have any control over the server we connect to, this issue renders FileZilla completely useless to us until the admins on the servers we connect to get their at together and fix/update their servers.

In the mean time, I think it would be a good move for FileZilla to allow servers with this problem, but treat the issue as a "WARNING" rather than an error that makes the FileZilla client useless.

If files are represented by soft-links on the server side, filezilla will create local directories with the name of the soft-link and the target file inside it.

The issue can be reproduced using the IBM's Fixcentral FTP server.

I was wanting to know if there is a way to get information by email when a new version of the filezilla server is released so I can keep up to date on this package. Also, I am totally blind and use a screen reader and have found that most of the server interface works good but in the settings dialogs when I errow to one of the settings to change it jumps me directly into that dialog and does not leave me on the tree view so I need to tab back to the treeview to change another setting if that is not the one I want to change. I would like to be able to set the auto-ban to permanently ban any IP who attempts to use a username, password or combination of username and password from set lists. I have almost daily attempts on my FTP from people attempting to log in as administrator with passwords such as passwd, password, 12345, 123abc, etc. I want to be able to set the auto-ban to permanently ban any IP which attempts to log on as administrator, an account which does not exist on my FTP, or attempts to log on with any account using a common password. It should, first, check to see if it is a valid account and password and, if not, automatically ban after a set number (I would set this to 1) of failures.

I would also like to be able to ban any user who attempts to change to certain or nonexistent directories. If I allow anonymous access I inevitably get the 'script kiddies' who all run the same program to try to change to the commonly hackable directories, none of which are accessible on my FTP. I would like to be able to set the auto-ban to permanently ban anyone who tries to change the directory to any in a set list or anyone who attempts to change to a directory which does not exist on a certain number (again, I would set this to 1) of attempts.

For a future concern, rather than simply disconnect IP addresses for those who have been auto-banned, letting them know they have been auto-banned, you may allow them to continue entering usernames and passwords until their heart's content, just stop accepting them after they have been banned. This would give them no clue they have been banned and no clue how many attempts they got before being banned, which would give them no help in coordinating a distributed brute force attack with a bot net.

I'm running Filezilla 3.0.8.1 on linux.

There are a few things I'd love to see improved with the Site Manager "Sites" UI.

• I'd like to be able to make the sites viewing area wider or narrower on demand. Right now there is a fairly small space and it feels a little cramped, especially when I want to have longer names, or folder trees. Right now, it uses scrollbars, but I'd like to be able to change the size via drag&drop.

• When trying to rename/delete/copy sites or folders, the keyboard shortcuts don't seem to be working. Pressing R or D or C will simply select the site that has those letters as their first letter. It won't actually delete them until I manually click the buttons.

• I can't seem to drag&drop existing sites between folders. I can add a folder, and add a site to that folder, but I can't move sites between folders. I'd like it if I could add a folder, then move an existing site to that folder.

• In the General tab, in the Logontype dropdown menu. I'd like to be able to type the first letter of the option I want and it automatically selects it (this is the standard html behavior). Right now, when you have the dropdown menu active, pressing N for 'Normal' doesn't do anything, but I'd like it to select the 'Normal' option, and so on.

Once I upgraded to 3.9.x on my mac I can no longer copy and paste from/to site directory bars [i.e. where local site: / remote site: are]. Previously keyboard shortcuts [i.e <ctrl>+c and <ctrl>+v] would allow you to copy and paste there.

This seems like a bug that was introduced recently.

In the transfer queue, if I rearrange the columns during a transfer, the direction arrows don't follow the source -> destination.

In the attached screenshot, I'm downloading files but, after rearranging the columns to match where I have my Remote and Local views, the arrows in the "Direction" column make it look like I'm uploading.

In windows 8 RTM, if filezilla server is installed to "manually" start the server service, the "start filezille service" shortcut created by the installer does not work.

However, one can go to control panel -> services and start it there, and it filezilla server will work without issue.

Connecting to ProFTPD with FileZilla (all platforms), we have run into a connection error that only affects keyboard-interactive authentication. Doing a git bisect on the PuTTY sources (which are utilized by FileZilla), we found that the problematic commit exists between PuTTY 0.70 and 0.71, and is precisely due to PuTTY commit 20a9bd5642ac66ae1190069989d33c5fcefe5672 ( ​https://git.tartarus.org/?p=simon/putty.git;a=commit;h=20a9bd5642ac66ae1190069989d33c5fcefe5672 ) from July 9, 2018. We have tried various PuTTY versions after the problematic commit, including head, and still have the problem connecting to ProFTPD. We have also tried upgrading ProFTPD to 1.3.7rc1, 1.3.7rc2, and the latest head, and the problem still persists when connecting to it with anything higher than FileZilla 3.46.0 or PuTTY 0.70 (testing done with psftp).

The error message that is returned is the following (this output is from psftp, but the same error comes through with Filezilla 3.46.1 and higher):

For now, we have informed those accessing our systems to do one of the following workarounds:

1.) Roll back to FileZilla 3.46.0 or older (or PuTTY 0.70 or older if utilizing psftp) 2.) Use public key authentication via Pagent or saved key file within FileZilla 3.) Ensure PuTTY is installed, and uncheck the checkbox for 'Attempt "keyboard-interactive" auth (SSH-2)' under SSH->Auth so the connection falls back to password auth. Make sure to save this change to the Default Settings connection profile within PuTTY. 4.) Use a different SFTP client that is not affected in this way.

In summary:

A change in PuTTY at commit 20a9bd5642 resulted in an inability to connect to ProFTPD that wasn't previously present. Since FileZilla relies on the PuTTY libraries and those were recently upgraded for FileZilla version 3.64.1, this problem has now presented itself. It isn't clear (to me) if this is a bug in PuTTY itself or ProFTPD, but I thought I would start with filing a bug here to get started, since FileZilla is used heavily by those accessing our systems, and this problem will become quite problematic as more and more people upgrade their FileZilla clients.

(Also, I saw bug #12066, but have not been able to reproduce that issue on my end. I suspect that issue has to do with pulling in PuTTY changes, but may not be due to the exact commit mentioned in this ticket.)

Is there any chance that the focus issues discussed in 1473638 will ever be resolved? It looks like this item has been pending for over a year now. There've been several releases since then, but it doesn't seem as if this problem has been addressed. I understand that there are other issues still pending besides this one, but I'm raising this one again specifically because it makes the program occasionally inaccessible to users like myself who are visually impaired and rely on screen reading software.

Is it possible to be able to specify an IP address range or group of IP addresses for each "user" or "Group" accounts?

This will be beneficial incase we need to limit the access to the server from your LAN and/or employees thus improving the security of the server.

Hi lovely Filezilla devs, would it be possible to include the full date (i.e. including the year) in the log when raw directory listing is enabled?

Right now it displays only the 3-letter shortened month and day of that month, which is of limited use.

Can you please enable the use of Novell Border Manager as one of the FTP proxy type settings. By default, it uses dollar signs and not the 'at' symbol.

Limited usability issue for users with many files:

Summary: When listing a directory it seems there is a limit of 2000 items Filezilla will display at a time. This affects at least versions 2.x through the lastest 3.0.1.

Reason for conclusion: I have a directory with maybe 2,200 files or so. When using my cpanel file manager I can see the last 200+ files but can't see them through filezilla. In my case I have 2 subdirectories in this directory. Filezilla displays the ".." up directory, my two subdirectory, then 1997 files, for a total of 2000 items in view.

Alternative fix: If this is a desired limit for security or possible bug problems, maybe there could be an option in settings that allows a person to override this max limit with a user entered max number of listings. This would allow those like me who keep huge listings of files to continue to use this excellent FTP program.

I want to delete a Web site on the Remote Site. I right click the main directory and click delete. Message pops up, "Really delete all selected files and/or directories?" I respond "yes" The following appears in the Message Log area.

However, the main directory, a sub directory and a subdirectory to the sub directory remain. These directories have no files contained in them.

Trying to delete each directory does not work. From the Message Log when trying this:

With FF3 I experience incomplete file downloads. I set a download, then do my work at other programs. Returning to FF3 all downloads are complete (nothing in failed tranfers), but the file size is smaller. I put the file back to queue, it brings the resume dialog.

When connected to several Solaris servers (even as root), filezilla doesn't show the entire dir list or all the archives, as far as I can see its a rather erratical behaviour, some files that are shown have the same attributes as some that aren`t shown, nevertheless, all the files appear on the trace in the debug panel bug then they do not appear on the dirtree or the file panel.

I'm not sure whether this bug is reporting directory listing failures on client-local or server directories, but I'm seeing a very abbreviated server directory listing for one of my server directories.

I can see them all fine by logging in to the server via Putty, and I can't see any variation in the permissions that would prevent the listing.

Curiously, of the directory and files that are listed, only one of them actually exists on the server, all the ones from the synchronized client listing (which is accurate) also appear in the server listing (those include the one listed that actually exists on the server), and then there are two listed in the server listing that do not exist on either side.

This seems like a quite serious bug, disabling FileZilla when the bug is triggered. I have no idea what triggers it, not all directory listings seem as incomplete as this one I was trying to access today.

The original file I'm uploading has a file size of 603,953. The uploaded file size is 69.098.

The file is an html file. It has a few lines of text but the main portion of the file is a series of 6 lists that are copied and pasted from an Excel file. After uploading the lines of text are there but the lists copied and pasted from Excel are missing.

I've uploaded a lot of files with the form a001.htm A001.htm a002.htm A002.htm etc

In the file list in the remote site window the order of the files is neither consistnet nor is it in strict alphanumeric order.

I would expect the lower case version of each pair to appear first, it does not.

Clicking the header to reverse the sort and then reverse it again does not affect the presented order.

When connecting to a FreeBSD inbuilt ftpd (standard Berekeley release, version 6.00LS) using a password which was "29fr*2" (without the quote marks), FileZilla was unable to connect. This was when the connection was specified in the Site Manager.

However, entering the username and password in the format "user:pass@site" in the QuickConnect address bar did work.

I tried this a number of times, with version 2.2.17 and it happens every time.

When reordering either the local or remote file list, if files were selected, since the order changes, files taking the position of files previously selected are now selected.

It looks like it's a problem with the ID the file gets in the list, which isn't updated properly: the IDs of selected files isn't update at all, only files are being reordered.

Expected behaviour is to have selection updates with file reorder, and having the same files selected, no matter I'm reordering the list.

in my version 3.0.4.1 I have a problem. When I upload a file this is correctly transfered but the status indicator was blocked on 100% transfer bar and not write "completed transfer"... See in the figure a completed transfer...

On problematic file transfers, I often see files with zero or different file sizes on the server compared to those on my local machine.

I'd like to see a transfer setting of "Overwrite if Newer or Different Size".

Hi. When viewing remote files over 4GB (4,294,967,296), the high-order 32-bits of the 64-bit size is truncated. Hence, a file with a size of 4,973,821,282 appears as 678,853,986. This is in the Remote Site window.

The Progress bar shows an incorrect status while downloading Files. The Downloaded Data Counter also excedes the File Size in the process. Please See the attached screenshot!

The Date/Time for the remote server is showing times 4 hours ahead of what the server says they are. For example, FileZilla shows a file has a Date/Time of "08/02/2002 02:14" but the same file on the server shows a Last Modified Date/Time of "Thu Aug 1 22:14:38 2002". The server is showing the correct modification date/time.

The time stamp indicated on the server side shows a 4 hour time difference. Settings are set to use system default time.

"Incorrect Remote Date/Time The Date/Time for the remote server is showing times 4 hours ahead of what the server says they are. For example, FileZilla shows a file has a Date/Time of "08/02/2002 02:14" but the same file on the server shows a Last Modified Date/Time of "Thu Aug 1 22:14:38 2002". The server is showing the correct modification date/time."

Using FileZilla Server 0.9.34, the scenario to reproduce this bug is to change the listening port by changing the configuration file and call /reload-config.

1. If changed in the GUI FZ Server correctly starts listening on the new port. Old connections are retained on the old port. Old port is dropped when the last old connection is closed.
2. BUT: If changed directly in the XML and called with /reload-config, FZ Server fails to recognize the new port and does not start listening on it (though it is reflected in the GUI). Only a server restart helps, currently.

1 On OS X only, connect to FTP, go to a folder with files on the server.

2 Press Cmd-A to select all files on ftp server > count shows total number and total size.

3 Click 1 file > makes 1 file showing as selected, but selection count is not updated, still shows total count, incorrect.

4 Continuing now with a multiple selection (using Cmd key) makes it even more messy, the count is increasing or decreasing depending on whether you click above or below a selected file.

When selecting files in directory tree with horizontal scroll, the cursor sharply moves to the corner of the screen or selection moves very slowly.

When there is no horizontal scroll - everything works fine.

This bug appeared in recent versions.

FileZilla is overriding system preferences (Win 8.1 Pr 64)and using month/day/year rather than day/month/year. Started in 3.9.0 and is in current build 3.9.0.1

I see that someone posted a bug about an incorrect timestamp in UNIX. We are seeing an incorrect datestamp, where the date shown in filezilla is a year later than the actual date. So, a file dated Oct 11 2001 is shown in Filezilla as Oct 11 2002. The file is on a Sun Solaris 2.8 server. If you have a fix for this, let me know, as this is makes Filezilla unusable for us. This is issue only happens when moving directories on the remove server.

Directory/File Structure: root root/app root/magento root/magento/app root/magento/app/file.txt

When I click-and-drag the root/magento/app directory up 1 level into root, I would expect the root/app directory to contain file.txt. Instead, FZ is nesting the app directories so I have root/app/app/file.txt.

This is easily reproducible and I do not believe it is intended behavior.

Makes magento/extension upgrades very difficult and just destroyed my dev site.

FileZilla Server (0.7.3.beta) can't handle filenames, which use ASCII code 255. LIST command works correctly, while RETR causes Error 550 "File not found" and returns filename with omissed chars (both spaces and chars with code 255).

There seems to be a issue if a filename starts with a space character (or multiple spaces). The FTP client will trim out all spaces from a filename and display the rest of its string (this can also be a issue with a space as the last character)

I've discovered this after some users reported that they can't delete there own files (They have full read/write access) and the message was that "550 The system cannot find the file specified.".

So I've start investigating the issue and with multiple FTP clients: WinSCP, FileZilla, Total Commander, etc... All with the exact problem. The file can't be renamed/deleted/open/etc. The server is a "Microsoft FTP Service - Windows 2008 R2" which seems to accept filenames starting with one or multiple space characters :(

So, by using a buggy FTP server witch accepts unusual filenames (starting with space characters) combined with weird people writing those names the result is no more access to those files anymore.

Please redesign the filename parsing for "LIST" command, so it will accept those anomalies.

The inexistent folder "Feb 29 13:59 Giochi" is shown in the folder list of the remote FTP site instead of the existing one "Giochi". The error occurred for the first time in the last but one version of the filezilla client program. The only way for accessing it is to rename the inexistent folder into "Giochi". This folder contains 129 files and 47 folders. Other FTP programs (like Internet Explorer) shows and handles the folder normally.

When dragging files and folders to new locations, they are copied if going between a remote and a local site, or moved if staying within the same site. However, the icon always indicates that the file will be copied, even when it is actually being moved.

If a folder on FTP server has set user id bit (e.g. drwsrwx---) the change permissions dialog has 6 (rw) for owner. It is incorrect.

Using FileZilla Client 3.2.3-rc1

When connected to an ftp site, I clicked on the "Last Modified" column header in the Remote Site window. Files are *not* sorting correctly by Last Modified Date (whether ASC or DESC is irrelevant).

I use the FileZilla client to both place and retrieve files on a secure server.

The client is changing the YEAR portion of the timestamp on files from 2014 to 2013.

I have my settings to "preserve timestamp" and the month, day and time remain correct, but the YEAR is changed from 2014 to 2013.

When I transfer a file from my network location to the server, the YEAR changes to 2013.

When I transfer a file from the server to my network, the same thing happens.

DISPLAY observations:

When I simply VIEW files newly placed on the server by a sender other than myself, in FileZilla the YEAR appears changed to 2013. However, when I VIEW that same file on the server with a different FTP tool (such as WinSCP) the YEAR on the file correctly appears as 2014.

Files on my own network that I simply VIEW in FileZilla remain unchanged with the correct 2014 YEAR. The YEAR on my files changes from 2014 to 2013 when I transfer to the server side using FileZilla.

This is NOT solely a display issue, because on files I transfer off the server to my network, the YEAR is actually changed on the file timestamp.

When browsing our SFTP server using filezilla v3.8.0 on Windows the year in the modified date field is showing as 2014 when the correct date is actually 2013. I have confirmed the date is correct on the actual file and by browsing using Cyberduck and the date s only wrong when using filezilla.

Filezilla client connecting to AIX server via secure FTP shows the wrong year (2006) on certain files and directories. Those files and directories were created when the system date was rolled to test DST (from 02/27/2007:14:05:00 to 3/11/2007:01:00:00). The time then rolled at 01:59:59 to 03:00:00. Files created previous to DST rollover still show correct year. New directories dated after date/time was rolled back (to 02/27/2007:{current_time}), show the correct year if some files in it have a 2007 year (because files/directories were created before the DST time change).

An earlier reported bug may be related (1608370 "Year bug") but is not the same. When files are seen via another FTP client ("SecureFX") or with another telnet program ("PuTTy" or "SecureCRT" terminal), the year IS correct. So far, only Filezilla shows the anomaly.

The year on the remote site displays 2000 when the real date is 2001 after I change my system clock back a week or a month.

Pls remove FileZilla Max file Transfer restrictions "Increasing Maximum Simultaneous Transfers" setting allowing users to increase beyond 10 sessions limit. (like increase to 20, 50...)

Modern SFTP server&client implementations, modern Compute,Storage and Network infrastructure can easily handle upto 1000+ concurrent SFTP sessions, so no need limiting client-side connections to 10.

Whilst this limitation makes perfect sense from historical point of view it no longer is applicable for most modern, 21st century IT platforms.

I've seen an increase in attacks against FileZilla FTP Server installs I'm administering.

While it looks like these attacks are unsuccessful, they are getting annoying, and I'd like to ensure my installs are as protected as possible. They are on high ports, but security by obscurity is not real security, only a deterrent until port scanners come along and information is passed around.

Manual entry and maintenance of an IP Blacklist is cumbersome and time consuming, as indicated here - ​https://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/8855

I would like to see an option to automatically implement kick and ban length already configured in settings for specific commands coming in that match attack patterns, even if I have to maintain my own list of patterns.

More complete logs can also be provided upon request, as there are a lot more entries with each attempt mucking up my logs and console.

Please, can you make this tiny change? In the ControlSocket.cpp file change

to

unsigned int retries = 10;

or any other value (please, at least 5).

I have a FZS that sometimes fails when using PASV and a given range of ports, because in that case the server does not use a free port given by the OS, but tries to create a socket in a free port of that range, and if it is not free it tries with the next one up to 3 times before failing with the answer: '421 Could not create socket'. The solution can be just to increase a little the number of attempts to find a free port where to create the socket for the data connection (the aforementioned unsigned int retries = 3;).

Uploading a large 3GB data file, filezilla starts with nominal CPU usage. However, the CPU occupancy continually increases during file transfer. After about 5 minutes of transferring the CPU occupancy is about 80% and after approximately 10 minutes it is at 98%. Log files attached. Unfortunately, I was not able to capture the console output when it was at 98% as filezilla was no longer responding.

If you increase the number of simultaneous connections while a queue is downloading, the new connections re-download a directory listing before starting to actually download files in the queue.

For example, I am currently downloading my site's old UBB forum files for backup. There are many thousands of files, totaling over 600 MB. I had it on two connections, but the files are tiny, so increasing the number of connections helps them download faster. The directory of the files currently at the top of the queue has many files in it, so the LIST command takes a long time for the server to process. When I increased the number of connections to four, the two new connections each ran LIST commands, instead of just downloading the next files in the queue.

In small directories this isn't a problem, but when downloading from directories containing thousands of files, this can add several minutes to the download time.

When I de-selected Process Queue, then selected it again, all four connections immediately started downloading files, without getting new directory listings.

This should probably be simple to fix. If the devs need any help tracking down this bug, just use my SF e-mail address.

Increasing the multiple file transfer limit did not do anything until I restarted the FileZilla client.

Steps to reproduce:

• Start with multiple file transfer limit of 2 (defauly settings)
• Place items from FTP server into queue
• Increase the multiple file transfer limit to 10
• Process queue

The queue will only have 2 simultanious file transfers.

• Stop queue processing
• Restart FileZilla Client
• Process Queue

The queue will not have 10 simultanious file transfers.

Sometimes you work with Production and Development Servers, and because of its similar content, you lose track of where you are exploring. It is very useful to be able to establish different preferences in some of the open tabs (background color, font, etc ...) for a clearer visual reference of the content that is being consulted and edited.

It would be nice if I could independently specify the number of simultaneous uploads and downloads that happen. For example if I have a queue full of various up and downloads, I'd like to perform one upload *AND* one download at a time. Currently, I can only specify the total number of simultaneous transfers regardless of what they are, hence performing only one upload *OR* one download at a time. Using traffic shaping software, one could then readily saturate both the up and download streams and save a lot of time.

A possibility to limit how much data a user/group can download/upload, for example per month.

On the about dialog there is a button for copying the displayed information to the clipboard. I have pasted the result below and as you can see the "Compiled for" and "Compiled on" entries have the same data. A screenshot of the dialog is also attached which seems to show to the correct data.

My (linux) mail server stores files as <meaningless name>:2 and when I download such a file to windows it creates a file stream. Would it be possible to have an option to inhibit stream creation?

I have been using Filezilla for years with the old BGan sat modem - now with the new iSavi modem I cannot get it to work. It seems to bungle the IP address needed. I get the following text when I run the Filezilla debug:

What do I do to get around this one?

This error message began with version 3.37.4 and continues with new version 3.38.1. What does it mean and how do I fix it. Thanks...Peter

Error message my customer is getting is This server does not support FTP over TLS. If you continue, your password and files will be sent in clear over the internet.

Problems uploading since new version of FZ updated Insecure server messages never had before, files don't load or fail. I had an older version of FZ on another PC and it is fine. Also more stable when dragging and dropping files, new version skips down remote directory files

My micro-server (Fritz!Box) lacks some security features such as TLS session resumption. Each time I connect I have to allow this connection again. The bug is that the option checkbox "Always allow…" works only during the current session. The next time I start FileZilla, the pop-up windows appears again with unchecked option.

I downloaded the newest version and this problem started. It prompted me to try the newest version. I have my website through 000webhost.

When uploading an html file, something is adding class to each img and setting it to a string of about 20 letters of gibberish. The result is that nothing appears on the webpage except for the link to their webhost.

It appears to be random as it is not the same when I check back later -- meaning, this class is set to something different each time I view the code on the same file. The last time I looked the inserted code looks like: class=" iqsnceuzmqugrweoheju" It is the same on the other newly loaded files -- meaning, they also have class=" iqsnceuzmqugrweoheju" in the same place. If I check back later, it will be a different string of letters, but it will be the same on each of the 4 new uploaded html files.

It has not affected previous files. I've used firebug to view the code on previous uploads, and they are fine. It only seems to affect files that I have uploaded in the last day or so.

I ran a comprehensive scan with Norton, and there are no problems on my computer. I have also reported this to the webhost.

The installer creates a Utilties folder in the start menu. Utilties is spelled incorrectly - it should be Utilities.

When attempting to install FileZilla version 2_2_28, I receive the following error message:

The procedure entry point WaitForSingleObject could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll

This error occurred on both NT SP6a and XP SP2. Version 2_2_27 installed without error.

When I attempt to install the client v3.10.1.1 I receive the following error and the installation fails:

"Product Configuration is Missing"

How do I resolve this issue

Formerly used V 2.2.29, now downloaded and installed V 3.1.3.1. Banked on the promise, the installation process would ask me if I wanted to transfer existing configurations to the new version. It didn't, instead obviously installed the new version somewhere else, so that now two versions exist, which do not know of each other.

Filed that in the forum, but didn’t get any reaction yet.

Trying to install a new version of FileZilla over an old one, it just gives this nasty Abort/Retry/Ignore prompt, if you have FileZilla open, saying that it can't overwrite the exe. It should check first and give you a friendly, "You may have FileZilla open, please close and click okay to continue."

When I tried to install the FileZilla_3.0.2.1_win32-setup.exe. I met the message "Invalid option for /user. Has to be either /user=all or /user=current"

This bug can be reproduced systematically:

1. Start the installer
2. choose French as the install language and go forth
3. When selecting the components to install, uncheck

English documentation but check French documentation. Go forth.

4. Once the French documentation is donwloaded, you

have the problem.

FileZilla_2_2_5_setup can not be installad in Windows NT with service pack 6a. Just when the installation is started after answering the questions, it aborts with an "Application error occurred" message.

I recently installed Dreamweaver and now I'm getting the message below when trying to edit php files. php files are not associated with Dreamweaver. I'm using the latest version of Filezilla.

The file 'C:\DW\premierparts.ca\acceptDecline.php' cannot be opened: The associated program (WX_DDE#"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Dreamweaver.exe","C:\DW\premierparts.ca\crm\acceptDecline.php"##System#) could not be found. Please check your filetype associations.

(The exact messaging was taken from an unsolved ticket, but it's the same for me, just different file names.)
