Most of the time when I double click on a file or folder instead of uploading it or opening a folder it opens a file renaming box. It's extremely annoying. And sometimes if you double click on a folder it brings file rename box, opens a folder and renames random subfolder name into a file name from the main folder. It wastes time and patience.

I don´t know if that´s a FileZilla problem or perhaps is not supposed to work via FTP at all. And yes, having a directory with trailing spaces is retarded ;-)

After installing 3.2.1 I get only one dialog window with OK button telling me to report all bug I encounter. After clicking OK the dialog disappears but nothing else happens. The process keeps running but I get no top level window.

I'm using Filezilla 3 on Mac OS X.

Filezilla refused to work for a long time - reporting 'fzsftp failed to start'.

(I checked that fzsftp was in the package and even set the environment variable that solved the problem for some users.)

Eventually I discovered that this was because I was running it from a path with spaces in it. (A drive called 'Second Drive'.)

Moving it to a path without spaces in it solved the problem.

Can Filezilla be fixed to transfer every file successfully quietly? Every time I alt tab away from Filezilla to a browser or other program it takes over my taskbar and flashes at me until I click it. It just wants to let me know that the file I trust Filezilla to normally transfer successfully transferred successfully. Maybe it could just do this when it DOESN'T transfer a file successfully and leave us alone to go back to our work when it does?

I autohide my taskbar and it gets in my way every time I use the client. Why do we have to sit there and watch Filezilla operate when we could be using our time doing something better?

Why does it force me to acknowledge that it did what it's supposed to do in the first place, that it successfully transferred the file? Can't it just do that and not blink at me every single time?

You may know a good reason I haven't thought of for it to behave like this. But I've seen other clients not do this at all and I can't imagine any reason for it to behave in this way. Can Filezilla be fixed to stop flashing and taking over my taskbar every time I transfer a file?

Please make a filezilla for 32bit/64bit ARM as a download. Compiling is too complicated and I would like to use latest filezilla on ARM desktop.

All client FTP for linux are very bad.(gFTP,Nautilus,Konqueror,Firefox extension) Filzilla will be the best FTP for linux

It would be great if FileZilla would have standard .deb or .rpm packages for linux. This would make filezilla very attractive for linux! Furthermore it should be advertised more, that Filezilla also works (fine) on linux. Maybe this could also be supported by screenshots of filezilla running on linux (without wine). As far as I can see, Filezilla is better than other FTP clients!

After close the Filezilla client the client forget the download list and the failed transfer list as well.

It should be viewable after execute Filezilla again.

I have my default "File Exists Action" set to "Ask For Action". I connect to a server by FTP. The first time I upload a file it asks me what action to take and I choose "Overwrite" and I do not select the "Always use this action" box. I can repeat this upload many times and it behaves correctly allowing me to choose to overwrite. After I have worked on something else for a while while leaving Filezilla running, making code modifications, for example, I then upload the same file again and it has forgotten that I want to be asked about overwriting.

The client continues to fail to prompt me until I restart the application, then it behaves properly again for an undefined period of time. The method I am using to trigger an upload is to drag a file from an Explorer window into the file list box of the Filezilla GUI. The times it has occurred, Filezilla has always been partially hidden behind other applications but I don't know how that affects it.

I will try some additional testing and see if I can reliably reproduce the problem.

In Ubuntu 14.10 if i connect to an ftp server and start renaming the files suddenly filezilla wont allow me to type anything. This bug dosent exist in Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit.

i use F2 to rename files and this is still possible to use. Also i can click in the name of a file and move the marker and mark text with the mouse, but i cant erase the names or type new text in the names. This happend very shortly after. If i connect to the ftp find a file and mark it for editing/renaming and go over in a browser or folder on my machine suddenly when i come back filezilla kinda freezes.. only thing to do is close filezilla and start it again and this happens everytime.. i cant even have filezilla open for 5 minutes and conencted..

Im running Ubuntu 64 bit and my local network is stable (Using lan cables and have transfer speeds on 100 MB/s (1000 Mbit)

I tried to debug filezilla, but the debug dosent catch anything related to what im doing.. (i will try to get some debug/logging that could be useful, but maby you just need to run Ubuntu 14.10 64 bit and rename files on your ftp.. when i enabled debug/logging it took longer time before it did freeze.

I have downloaded the package (FileZilla_3.16.1_x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.bz2 from sourceforge). Then I have unzipped it and started the binary as normal user in a subfolder of my homedirectory.

The package is linked against wxWidgets 3.0.3 and I'm using KDE Plasma 5.5.5

I use Filezilla 2.2.16 on a Windows XP Pro SP2 and I've got a linux SMB server version 3.0.14a-2.1.fc4.kde. I've got some mapped drives to the SMB server and when I try to browse the mapped drive Filezilla stop responding, no re-draw, no answer for various minutes.

When uploading several html files with a javascript, with the file transfer settings as "auto", the javascript broke because some characters were deleted by filezilla. It took me hours to solve this problem.

It was solved by uploading the html files using the

binary setting, even though the files are all ascii encoded! btw, love the program! Thanks for all the hard work!

Problem:

Windows Filezilla installs the Start menu shortcut in the start menu of the user that installed the program.

Up to this morning I have had no difficulties with Filezilla either when uploading or downloading to a site I have been using for year. This morning I updated Filezilla. Immediately I had a popup notice informing me that the licence to this site was not recognised. The notice allowed me to override this. However, I noticed that the check box allowing me to indicate that this site can be trusted in future had not been enabled.

The site I am trying to connect to is run by Freeola.com, and I was attempting a connection to vip4.freeola.net.

I am concerned that up to noon today I was able to use your software to connect to this site, as I have been doing for several years, and then with the 'improved' update it is now effectively useless to me.

Everytime I edit a file with filezilla it adds a blank line inbetween each tag. Every line of code is now separated by fifteen blank lines and I don't know why...

We want to use Filezilla on our Terminal Server (Win 2003) but want to use one single configurationfile and hide the settingswindow for the users. Is there any way to do this? Tried placing the filezilla.xml in various places but this didn't work, so I think its not possible atm. Any Chance to get it?

I'm having difficulty getting permissions to use Filezilla on a Virtual PC on a Mac Powerbook - my environment requires me to have Kerberos tickets, which I was able to get - but Filezilla thinks I don't have them.

Does the Virtual PC work like a NAT box, interrupting the contact?

Unfornatetely i can't determine the position of the keys in pageant.

When I open Filezilla it opens on the screen of my 17" Macbook Pro in a way that does NOT allow me to use it because the top half of the opened program is stuck ABOVE the top of my display and I can't drag or move it anywhere else on my screen to use it. PLEASE SEE SCREENSHOT. I have tried to open it while using an external monitor and without an external monitor and the problem persists either way. I sent a support ticket (or maybe it was a forum post) quite a long time ago and the problem is still there and even with the latest version. I'm amazed that no one else has reported this since then. I set up the "debug" for 3 like you said but I don't see how I can access that information to give to you. Please fix because I really need to use Filezilla asap.

Hi, we have the problem that filezilla opens a new controll session when starting a filetransfer. So the server will disconnect the first controll session and filezilla got an error about that. The filetransfer gos on and end with no errors.

I've got Filezilla client open on a macBook with an attached Thunderbolt display. The lid of the macBook itself is closed, so only the Thunderbolt display is active. The Filezilla client is positioned normally somewhere in the center of the screen.

Actions:

Now I disconnect from the Thunderbolt display and I take the macBook with me. In a meeting I'm using the macBook normally, without any other displays attached (I didn't check the position of the Filezilla client). When returning to my desk, I connect the macBook to the Thunderbolt display, and then the Filezilla client has itself poisitioned mostly out of the screen. I can't change the location in any way anymore.

After upgrading to the latest version of Filezilla, 3.10.0, it no longer allows me to download or edit files on servers.

The status claims success: Status: File transfer successful, transferred 1,017 bytes in 1 second

This behavior happens regardless of how I download the file (right click download, drag & drop, right click and "edit")

When I drag and drop, it appears in the target folder briefly, but disappears.

Until a recent update, I was having no trouble connecting to a FOSCAM camera, but now it fails. I've tried forcing active connections, but filezilla insists on going into passive mode. Sometimes the client tries to resume instead of overwrite the destination (my pc). That produces an error "data is invalid" or produces a larger than the original file.

My FTP-client is trying to connect to a FileZilla server 1.0.1 that is not under my control and runs into trouble when trying to find out if MLSD/MLST is supported by the server (this is done because there are servers out there announcing support in FEAT but actually can't). The 504-answer lets the client fall back to use NLST which fails leading to a non-interop situation:

So FileZilla is actually incapable of handling MLST and the error-message is wrong or there is some race condition leading to a 504 if an "OPTS UTF8 ON" is sent and another OPTS being followed directly afterwards.

Version 1.1.0 seems to have the same problem (the trace is done with 1.0.1 on the other side)

Please add these features to the server: quotas, multiple ports (ie use different ports for certain user names), and speed limiting (ie saying that a user can only use x Kbps).

I have also tried out other servers like GuildFTPd. It has many features, but its slow, bloated, and has other major problems with it. When i have switched to FileZilla server, I have 0 problems so far.

filezilla server disconnected continuously when i try to upload files.When i checked the log folder of filezilla server,it contains large number of files.So i remove the log files and restart the filezilla service.After this it works fine for some time and disconnected again.I delete the log file again and then it works fine.

Anyone can suggest a permanent solution for this.

I noticed a severe security leak this morning. When you define shared folders for a user eg.:

• W:\MyFTP\jan

and add another shared folder e.a.

• W:\MyHomePage\Blog\jan\wp-content\uploads

Then filezilla server gives "jan access to:

• W:\MyFTP\jan and

W:\MyHomePage\Blog\jan (ignoring the rest of the path)

The Filezilla server version I used is 0.9.29 Beta.In the General settings, if I modified the Number of Threads to 1(I have 2 processor in my Windows2008), So there shouldn't be 3 or more FTP sessions, but there really be 3 sessions run in the status pannel, after the third session created, it will take over one of the session which is running before, the session was discard when the task isn't over. In my opinion, the third session should wait till the prior is over.

Filezilla server 0.9.48 beta was installed on Windows xp and Windows 7. Multiple users were defined. The server settings return to blank after a reboot inwin7 but are retained in windows xp. After every reboot all acounts have to be re-entered. Before reboot, the accounts are listed OK. After reboot, the accounts are all gone no groups users or folders are shown. Attempted to add system permissions to folders used by the filzilla xml file. Seems to be a sandbox situation, but unable to find any settings to mitigate. Migrate the settings file(s) location to users\$user$\appdata\filezilla in windows 7 and perhaps it will retain settings.

Filezilla server should be modified to do setsocketopt() for send and receive buffers so that assymmetrical links are handled better.

A feature that allows a 'phonelist' of Filezilla Servers that you can have sync themselves would be very useful.

The introduction of folder - user - server customisation options may or may not be helpful, but the basic, "Server1 make yourself look like server2 please!" checkbox would be great.

From a programmer's point... I'd love to be able to modify the xml file for filezilla server and have the changes take place in x amount of time (specified in the interface as "check for xml changes every x seconds").

The deployment reason for this is I have several load balanced Web Server and I wish to be able to provide redundancy/load balancing for my Ftp server as well. That way making changes to one file, I can propagate to the rest of the ftp servers with a simple file sync program like goodsync.

I ask because I believe it to be a simple implementation.

Filezilla 3.5.3.

When downloading a file using SFTP, the EOF is not handled properly.

Example: downloading a 1564 bytes file.

• stat: server returns size 1564
• open
• read offset 0, len 32768: server returns 1564 data (as expected)

Now starts the stuff I think is not correct:

• read offset 32768, 32768: server returns EOF (issue 1: offset should be 1564, issue 2: the transfer should stop here)

And now keeps going up to 1 MB:

• read offset 65536, 32768: server returns EOF
• read offset 98304, 32768: server returns EOF
• ...
• read offset 1048576, 32768: server returns EOF
• close

About issue 1, I haven't found where's the problem. The offset of the request should always be adjusted to rr->retlen.

About issue 2, checking trunk/src/putty/sftp.c:1259, in xfer_download_gotpkt:

So rr->complete is set to -1 when EOF is detected, but then that it's ignored and set to 1. I believe a return 1 is missing after setting complete to -1.

Altough the certificate is valid and officially issued, FileZilla shows a warning that the certificate is unknown.

this is really weird ! -Filezilla Server is running. CuteFTP client can connect (PASV) and list and work with it so can many otyher clients FTP client in command line of W2K/XP works too.

Filezilla (client) however, *DOES NOT* show any files, directorys and it does NOT show any error after recieving directory listing.

this is at least true for 2.2.9 and 2.2.10 for windows.

BTW:to whoever looks into this - feel free to contact me and i will give you and IP and account to the Filezilla server - so you can reproduce thei problem in no-time.

Filezilla ignores Windows options to not show hidden files and shows everything. This leads to accidentally uploading thumbs.db and other hidden files to the server unnecessarily. Maybe this could be tied to the 'Show hidden files on server option' or made its own option if it's too much trouble to poll Windows settings.

On a clean install of Mavericks, where the 'Allow apps downloaded from' setting has been left in its default state of 'Mac App Store and identified developers' Filezilla fails to run, with the console output ...

As I understand it this is the OS killing the Filezilla process due to the default security settings. If the OsX setting is altered to 'Anywhere' Filezilla runs up as expected.

The 'Bug' I wanted to report is that for some reason, I assume due to the way the application runs up; there is no display to state why the application didn't run, it just silently fails to start. Other applications trigger an OS pop up stating that the application can't be run due to the current settings, and appear in 'System Preferences >> Security & privacy >> General' with the option to allow them anyway.

I found the filezilla sometimes occurred false error message when a file was downloaded successfully, but the program and the logs reported the server disconnect or downloaded, then filezilla tried re-download the file and jumped a window for user to check the re-download method. Hello, I noticed that filezilla "beeps" when the connection fails, wouldn't it be good to add a sound when the connection is successful?

Receiving the current error message after update. Also had another message advising that the certificate was unknown. I overrided this and selected always trust for future sessions, but I don't think this helped.

Please advise a solution.

Filezilla stops sending keep-alive commands after 30 minutes.

This occures sometimes. I've reported this earlier as 786803, but now I've seen that also in the latest version and I saw what happened. Filezilla tried to resume the file with start = filesize instead of asking me what I want to do. I've attached a debug-log.

If I edit a local file selecting it from "Local site" pane, when I save the local file, Filezilla shows an alert box with the message "A file previously opened has been changed" and tries to upload it to the remote server.

I have tried to close Filezilla and open it again but the problem continues.

I have used phpDesigner 8.2 and Sublime Text 3.1.1 to edit the file and the result is the same.

But filezilla shocked me today. I installed it a few month ago on my usb flashdrive in the u3 environment (I used it before on my harddisks for month ;) ).

It worked fine nearly 3 month, but today filezilla deleted all passwords out of the xml file.

On the client i used, filezilla was additionally installed in secure mode (Reg Keys exist).

But the filezilla on my flashdrive wasn't installed in secure mode...

why filezilla doesn't asked before deleting all the passwords out of the xml file, after starting it from the u3 launchapd?

According to ESET, the Filezilla client attempts to connect to an update server which sends a self-signed certificate. This seems to be a security problem which should be remedied.

I created a directory " Test" in Linux. Filezilla client displays as "Test" and will not enter.

I have to access a BBS with some folder names that have spaces in the filenames. Filezilla used to be able to access all folders, but now, if I try to access a folder with spaces in the file names, I get the following error.

It will sucessfully descend into folders with no white spaces in filenames.

Will not disconnect

I try to open filezilla through unity in Ubuntu 12.04 and the program doesn't open. I tried several times, looked at system monitor and I see multiple instances open, if I close them all and try again nothing opens.

I tried via command line and it just hangs.

I'm running Fedora 24 with Gnome 3.20.4 on a Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Filezilla opens to a very tiny (and unusable) window that cannot resize or maximize. There's no "maximize" icon and double-clicking the menu bar does nothing.

Quick Googling led me to similar issues on the GTK side, and a patch was submitted and accepted upstream some time ago. More info on that here:

My short-term solution was to use the Gnome Tweak Tool to set my window resolution to "1", resize the Filezilla window and do what I need to do, then use the Tweak Tool to reset the resolution to "2" so I can go about my day-to-day operations. Because this was already patched in GTK I'm assuming there's something that might need to be addressed in Filezilla specifically. Thanks!

gFTP has a nice feature: "Multithreading"

It simulates Multithreading which means that you can download some files and in the same time you can freely browse through the FTP-folders. In the background gFTP stops the download while you are browsing and then it resumes the downloads automatically when the user does nothing.

At this moment you have to open Filezilla a second time and you have to create a second connection to the server.

I am trying to use Filezilla 3.6.2 with Putty-CAC for authentication. However, anytime I try to connect to our server Pageant seems to fail to communicate as I get a password prompt. It should be using my cert I have in pageant but it is not communicating with it.

The last version of Filezilla that will work with Putty-CAC without any problems is 3.5.3. I really would like to be able to upgrade Filezilla but I can not do so because we have to use Putty-CAC. So my question is can support be added in these newer version to support Putty-CAC once again? What changed from 3.5.3 to newer versions for it to stop working?

I have control characters in my password. Filezilla won't let me enter them. (It just 'thunks at me when I try.)

I just realized Filezilla won't download to network file shares. This is very easy to reproduce. I have it set up with local and remote tree views. In the local view, I type in
workstation\d$\folder and hit enter, and the shared folder is displayed in the tree view is it should be. Then I connect to a server and select a file or files, right click them and hit Download. The files appear to download successfully, but they're nowhere in the remote folder! As it turns out they're instead downloading to the root folder of my local disk. I can find them in C:\workstation\d$\folder

As far as I'm concerned this is a serious functionality problem. I'm using the latest build, 2.2.13c.

The computer is an HP laptop using Windows Vista Sp-2 last updated to version KB980248 on April 29.

It works fine over the wireless connection at home, but not at the boss's home office. We have an 11b wireless connection at home, backed by a cable (Comcast) connection. The boss has, I beleive, 11g backed by DSL.

After installing a new (the default 8.10 one, with the 8.10 GTK engine : "gtk2-engines-murrine") theme on my OS (i use GNOME + Compiz), i noticed Filezilla's GUI was having trouble with it.

My problem is that the font of the text in the "file explorers" (local and remote) is light-grey, while the theme background is just... white.

On my theme, the light-grey is the text colour for taskbars and such things, which all have a dark background. The area with white background is meant to go with dark text colour.

So i think the problem is that for these text areas in Filezilla, the text color that is picked is not the one that should be used with the background colour (grey+white instead of black+white). This is likely to happen in a lot of themes, including one of the default themes of Ubuntu 8.10 coming in less than 3 weeks.

I hope you can correct this bug, it's likely to be half a line to write, but as it's pretty annoying, it'd be cool that you do it fast, or tell Ubuntu devs at launchpad.org how to solve it and add it to our repository.

Is the Filezilla download button supposed to link to a proprietary installer that does not match the published signature or filename?

By clicking through to the additional downloads page, it is possible to download Filezilla without this installer, but I find it very hostile behavior of open source software.

The "special offers" I got in the installer were both called WinZip, but neither are the actual WinZip software. One was a registry cleaner, the other I don't remember. Beyond that a "special offer" of freeware is not "special" (so that is misleading by itself), the product's names are very misleading to users, probably damaging their computers and filling it up with adware, and also damaging to the reputation of Filezilla. I'd rather pay than run this proprietary, misleading adware. If you guys need better hosting, I can provide a 35mbps connection with unmetered data. Thanks.

Unfortunately, the bug hasn't been fixed because you can easily reproduce this phenomenon by the following step:

1. Install the fresh filezilla server,create a user(assuming username is admin),set the speed limit to 2MB/s

2.Write a ftp client code to connect-login-download something from the server(follow the FTP RFCs)

3.After download complete, send 'QUIT' command to filezilla, and do *NOT* wait the server responses '226 Transfer OK' then close the socket, then reconnect the filezilla server again to download another file.(I know this step is not strictly follow the RFCs, but it's still a bug, right?)

In my test code, the CPU usage of filezilla goes up to 100% every 2 times.

Exporting the Filezilla.xml from the PC and importing it into Filezilla for Apple Mac crashes.

When a project is listed in the server manager, and has a local directory in PC format inserted (so let's say c:\projects\www.kfz.net ) and your are moving your data to the mac filezilla is crashing because he can not find the c: drive.

Maybe it make sense to check for PC drives and remove the entries and set them to empty when a user is importing the filezilla.xml on a mac.

When I open FileZillaPortable 3.2.0 on my USB stick, it gives a notification that a newer version is available. However, when I download the file it is the normal installatie file. I would like to see that when you try and update the portable version, it automatically downloads the portable update file.

Like in G6FTP server, A button showing, by day or week, who and what's been downloaded, who and what's been uploaded.

HI support i I' am sturggling with random filezlilla crashes. Operating system: Winows server 2016. Filezilla server 1.5.1 (also 1.3) . It happend every 2 or 3 days . Windows event log:

The 'File Permissions' dialog currently displays with all boxes checked and with 'xxx' in the 'Numeric value' field.

It would be useful if the check boxes and the 'Numeric value' field reflected the values of the file being updated.

The filter is all well and good but the most important usage is the ability to drop a directory into the queue and have it filter out all of the things in the filter. Currently it only seems to support the actual base directory. This makes it useless for uploading a directory structure and having it filter out hidden folders, subversion folders, thumbs.db files, etc.

In a filter, I specified: to be excluded if it "contains" a "~".

I have several DIRECTORIES named ".../UBS~/..." or ".../~Stuff/..." which the filter is not excluding. I also tried "begins with" and "ends with", but neither of those seem to work either.

Hi, with filezilla 3.0 , when i want to ftp from my pvr(KISS DP558) a file named AUX - Mar 11-09-2007 20_30_21.vob In my pc folder it appears as "30" (without extension) with a size of 0ko, and filezilla says the transfert has been successful! this problem doesnt occur with filezilla 2.2.32 with the same settings(pasv mode and ascii file "auto") best regards

it would be mighty useful if you could filter out hidden folders and files when uploading folder contents. For example, I have to upload folder content result, which is automatically created and contains invisible files and folders which don't need to be uploaded

Maybe this can even be extended by adding additional file filter types to prevent uploading if they are in a folder.

The checkbox Conditions are case sensitive is enabled, when the Edit filters configuration window is opened and no filter is selected, although the checkbox is filter specific like the checkboxes below the title Filter applies to: right under it.

This can create some confusion, as it can be assumed that the checkbox is universal for all filters, especially because the two checkboxes below are enabled when a filter is selected, highlighting the otherness of the first-mentioned checkbox.

Go to Filter --> edit Filters. I cant set a Filter.

Need to avoid uploading directories by mask. Don't upload directories named '.svn' for example. Or files named '*.keyfile'. Want to set this in my preferences or at least on a per task basis.

Upon renaming a local file, the FileZilla program becomes unresponsive and has to be killed/restarted. The renaming happens almost immediately but the application is rendered unusable. FileZilla Client

i just updated today and never before had my filezila stopped downloading before finish error message : filezila has stoped working then it aborts the task

i tried the download a backup of a webshop 4 times now and it keeps stopping/aborting the task

I am finding that files are not copied from one server to another. I would have never know that files were missing in the transfer if I didn't run setfacl on the files transferred. Setfacl uses a list generated from getfacl on prod as input. This input list is use to compare against what is transferred so permissions can be set.

What doesn't filzilla show me the files/directories that don't get transferred for whatever reason?

Hi folks, It would be cool if it would be possible to have an option FIND (F3 - find next) to find a text within a file in the server. If it isn't possible, maybe in the local site.

A way to locate a file(s) on the remote ftp server... (better with name/size/age options)

While working on files, saving then switching to FileZilla (FZ), FZ will prompt a message "File has changed".

This has the option "Upload this file back to the server: [] Finish editing and delete local file"

As I was completing the task, the checkbox "Finish editing and delete local file" was checked, then it occurred to me that I wanted to change something.

I pressed escape, canceling the operation. For me it was a bit of a surprise that the Escape button and the X on the right corner basicly perform the "No" action - therefor deleting the file - instead of canceling the operation as a whole.

Action: Esc (cancel) Expectation: close prompt, don't perform any action. Reality: Alias for pressing the "No" button, executing the selected checkbox.

FireZilla server does not limit the maxium number of connections under one account. I set the IP limit and that works per IP. However, the total number of connections for an account cannot be limited. I set a limit using the group maxium connection count and the user maxium connection, but users keep connecting with the limited account passed the specified limit.

Using the Perl ftp interface Net::FTP, I created a script to automaticly upload files to an FTP server running FireZilla 0.9.18b. Right now this server is incorrectly receiving the FTP requests from my client.

In the firezilla admin tool I see the request as "ORT

192,168,1,101,13,94" where my FTP client says its sending "PORT 192,168,1,101,13,94". The missing first letter is confirmed to be a FireZilla parsing problem because I used Ethereal to monitor the traffic and indeed, PORT is being sent.

I uninstalled Firefox, and fond that it also uninstalled FileZilla.

All the files were gone in the FileZilla folder.

Fortunately when I reinstalled FileZilla my preferences and settings were still available, and everything was back to normal, or at least I assume it is. I have not yet put it to the test. Wayne Sallee Wayne@…

Using the same transparent proxy. Firefox 10.0.2 works ok, but Filezilla 3.5.3 don't. Or in other words, Firefox list ok the directory, but Filezilla do not.

The firewall of avg doees't trcognize that filezilla is trying to access then is not noticed by the firewall and this causes an automatic blocking. I have been using FileZilla and PCTools internet security concurrently without problems for 5 months now. The new version of Filezilla appears to modify it's own binaries after EVERY command line sent/received. This means I have to "allow" it 5 times just to make a connection, let alone navigate or upload/download.

If the new FileZilla does modify its own binaries, wouldn't there be problems with most firewalls/security software? It seems that data should be stored externally in some sort of database.

When you click on the first file in the left hand window to transfer a file it begins to send that file immediately.

If then at the same time you hold the shift key down select a file at the bottom of the list (a group of about 5 - 8 files) and then drag and drop to the right window to transfer these files (fairly quickly). Causes a transfer error.

This seems to me to be a chase condition as it only tends to happen on the first transfer. The first file is been transfered whilst the group of files are been transfered. The first file then can cause an error to occur.
