There is no error message when it tries to upload a file when the disk is full. All that happens is the status bar goes to 100%, and never goes away. Confused the hell out of me for a while o.O

Also I've been using Filezilla for a while now. Only thing I can suggest is making directories delete faster. Listing all the files, and then slowly deleting them all is painful to watch ;)

Filezilla client connecting to AIX server via secure FTP shows the wrong year (2006) on certain files and directories. Those files and directories were created when the system date was rolled to test DST (from 02/27/2007:14:05:00 to 3/11/2007:01:00:00). The time then rolled at 01:59:59 to 03:00:00. Files created previous to DST rollover still show correct year. New directories dated after date/time was rolled back (to 02/27/2007:{current_time}), show the correct year if some files in it have a 2007 year (because files/directories were created before the DST time change).

An earlier reported bug may be related (1608370 "Year bug") but is not the same. When files are seen via another FTP client ("SecureFX") or with another telnet program ("PuTTy" or "SecureCRT" terminal), the year IS correct. So far, only Filezilla shows the anomaly.

After connecting to the server with a wrong password this pw is cached and can not be corrected. So Filezilla needs to be restarted in order to connect again. As Filezilla realizes, that the connection can't be opened, it should ask for the password again.

I am using Filezilla v2.2.26a and I have set in Connections -> Firewall settings a range of available ports to be used.

However, if Filezilla tries to bind to a port which is already in use (I have another program which might use a port from the same range) it will fail and break the current operation.

Wouldn't be possible to have Filezilla try with another port from the range?

I have seen a lot of time update bug reports, but yet I found that no real solution has been addressed to this issue.

I am still not able to use the 'overwrite only if file is newer' feature of the program in V 2.2.31, which is my goal.

After looking up where the problem was, I come up with a solution to this: The uploaded file should not be set to the server's time, but to the client windows time. I believe that this is the only way to make this work properly.

If we consider that the source is always on the windows client's side (which is normally the case), then this can only be the real solution, because applying the server's time to the uploaded files will always cause a problem due to the fact that the server's time is always either higher of lower than the windows' time (even only a few seconds delay). This translates into some files not uploaded properly, but yet you edited them with a new time on the client's side.

Now I hope that the FTP protocol allows to do such a thing.

Any comment on this would also be interesting, but I really think that everyone is expecting the system to work the way I do understand it also.

If I export my settings in Filezilla 2.2.27 and then import them in Filezilla 2.2.31 all servers in the servermanager are lost.

When downloading .mkv files, it will not stop after 100% and it will keep going until hard disk is full.

I am sure it is a bug in filezilla because I can download the mkv files without any problem with cuteftp pro.

While selecting type of the authntication when I add new server, the option "Anonymous" hides option "Regular". On Russian it sounds "Анонимный" and "Обычный". So it is very hard to select "Regular" type of authentication.

Can anyone let me know how to fix this problem?

Problem: Last slash is removed from filename when transferring file via ssh (ftps). The file name is then combined with the last subdirectory name because the slash no longer seperates them.

I do not have this problem from a cygwin ssh session.

FileZilla will attempt the maximum retries and fail.

My temp solution is to go onto server and move files that I need to transfer to the ROOT '/'.

The ssh server is running on AIX 5.2.

FileZilla is version 2.2.30

Let's say you have file a.php, b.php and c.php. You upload a new copy of a.php to a server. If you rename c.php to c2.php while the upload is waiting to begin (or possibly taking place), b.php (the file above it) will get rename to c2.php instead once the transfer completes. c.php will still exist.

I am trying to make a connection to an IBM z890 mainframe running z/VM 5.1 with implicit SSL/TLS encryption. After the connection is made, a 'LIST -a' command is sent to get the directory listing. '-a' is invalid on a z/VM server. Filezilla does not send a '-a' operand to a z/OS server with explicit TLS. Why is the '-a' used for FTP with implicit SSL/FTP? Is this some requirement of implicit SSL/TLS that IBM is ignoring?

Tested version: Filezilla 3.0.0-beta7, Windows XP

Paths without leading '/' character won't work.

I'm trying to retrieve a directory listing from a ftp server. I suspect that the listing fails because the path on the server doesn't have the leading '/' character in it. So for example if you would connect to a normal Linux server the path could be "/example-path/", but on this server the correct path is "example-path/". The PWD command returns the correct path (without leading '/') from the server so the problem is not with the return value from server. The problem is that Filezilla doesn't understand the returned path.

Every command line client on Windows and Linux I have tested work with this server. So the problem is not with the server, even it does use quite unusual directory structure.

The problem is with both FTP and SFTP.

I edited the log by replacing information with [SENSORED] tags, even the path it returns. Apologies about this, but I'm working in a company where I don't have permission to reveal any information about the systems we use, not even the paths on the server. But I hope the explanation above will give you enough information about the problem.

I am not sure exactly what is happening but I an a friend of my are having the following issue:

Configuration Info

We both have:

• FileZilla 3.0 b7 installed
• DLink DNS323 500GB RAID1 servers(Unix L8)on our respective networks configured for FTP
• NATed networks behind Linksys Routers with MTU=1492
• Running Windows XP clients
• Have ports 21, 5000-5100(preferred by prior version of FileZilla, and 65500-65535(preferred by DNS 323 in PASV) forwarded on the routers
• Set FileZilla b7 to use Servers External IP
• We both are using DNS name server via DynDNS.org because our ISPs change our IPs several times a week.

Whats Different

• My access is 250/3000 Cable with Auto IP
• His access is 600/6000 DSL using PPPoE
• My client PC uses Norton Virus and Firewall SW
• His client PC uses ATT protection for Yahoo SW
• Note: We have tried disabling firewalls and Internet Secuity Setting with no affect on results

Issue Outlined

• My client from my network has no issues connecting with and transferring files to and from his server either in Active or Passive Mode when using 3.0 b7 over his DSL/PPPoE based service.
• His FZ2.31 client logs on to my server from his network in Active Mode without issues. Passive does not work because it needs servers external IP to work.
• His FZ 3.0b7 client fails both Active and Passive connections to my server when he tries from his network. However,when he tried from his son's cable serviced network, he was able to log on and tranfer files both in Active and Passive Mode.

I am current thinking that the issue is somehow related to his PPPoE connection but why does FZ 2.31 work in Active Mode while FZ 3.0b7 fails to connect in either mode when he tries to connect to my server from his network. The trace shows that the socket closes as soon as the PASV command is issued and the disconnect then follows.

I have included the trace for Passive Mode. I do not yet have a trace for the Active Mode. I have asked my friend for it and I will add it when I get it.

I am using version 2.2.31 It is possible to create a foldername with a leading or following space (ASCII character 0x20), but afterward all other commands do not work with it. Here a log of the operation.

When you export then import settings all sites are lost :-(

FileZilla 2.2.31 crashes pretty regularly in Vista. It crashes on uploads and downloads, especially when uploading or downloading a lot of files. It seems pretty random but happens frequently.

I noticed a display problem, very minor, in the transfer queue window. When there is a file transfer in process, there is a line a few pixels high not being refreshed correctly. It reflects whatever was behind FileZilla at that moment. However it is only seen when a file transfer is occurring. The queue windows redraws correctly when there isn't a file transfer. I notice this since my FTP's can run for hours.

there appears to be a problem with filezilla, when you batch download a large amount of files (and possibly when uploading too, but i have only confirmed downloading) it can sometimes "mix up" your files. This has happened to me both with JPG's and PHP files. the content of 1.PHP becomes that of 2.PHP and vice versa. I haven't been able to narrow it down to anything other than a large amount of files being downloaded at once. It seems to happen randomly.

After installing filezilla on new computer I copied filezilla.xml from my old PC (version 2.2.9 which I cannot find anymore) to the new PC (version 2.2.32) to copy the account settings.

The passwords do not get copied properly, filezilla opens password promt after attempted connection. (fair enough)

But clicking cancel in the input window opens the requested site anyway.

This is a PC installed a week ago, filezilla was just installed (and never before).

I did a new test with FZ 2.2.32 & LinkSys WRT54GL v4.30.9 . It seems to be fixed. I tried to upload/download about 10 .jpg files.

When connecting to ftp.sunet.se and going into, for example: /pub/Linux/distributions/ubuntu/ubuntu-cd/feisty/

I get a list of .iso-files listed as directories by FZ. Because of this I cannot download them since it tries to cd into the files. I've attached a log file containing the output from a refresh. It seems to misunderstand the symlinks. Using 3.0b8 on WinXP SP2.

If I click on the remote directory, select "Create directory" and enter a value like "/dirname /" (with the space before the last slash), I can not access to this directory after.

So, the command used to change directory, instead of

chdir dirname

, must be

chdir "dirname "

.

Perhaps FZ must remove trailing spaces before executing a command... It's yours to see.

I had this problems more than once in the last weeks now. I download a couple of files from an FTP and at least one of the files is corrupt or has the completely wrong content.

It's also recognisable, if you watch the queue process and you see a file downloading although, it already reached 100%.

Unfortuntaley I don't have a lot of information, except, that the server is using SSL and my lient version is 2.2.32.

I try to reproduce it and get the raw FTP command log.

Is there any chance that the focus issues discussed in 1473638 will ever be resolved? It looks like this item has been pending for over a year now. There've been several releases since then, but it doesn't seem as if this problem has been addressed. I understand that there are other issues still pending besides this one, but I'm raising this one again specifically because it makes the program occasionally inaccessible to users like myself who are visually impaired and rely on screen reading software.

It's been suggested I submit this as a bug report. So here goes:

I upgraded my Filezilla a few months ago to 2.2.32 (which is the latest stable release). Ever since then, I've had a very weird issue where some files are getting swapped content with other files.

Man, I know this sounds *insane*, but I'll give you an example: I do frequent installations of WordPress for the Install4Free site. I have a copy that I keep on file to upload to a myriad of different servers. Over the past few months, I've noticed oddities like the index.php file and the styles.css file will upload with the correct filenames, but the *content* has swapped - so that the index.php file contains the styles.css content, and vice versa.

That is only one example, of course. It has happened with many different programs, and usually happens when I upload many files at once. I can easily fix it by tracking down which two files have been content-swapped and uploading them individually. But when I'm doing mass quantities of uploads (especially for something like ZenCart, where everything is includes and it's hard to track down what file was swapped where) it gets tedious and difficult.

It's truly bizarre (and yes, I *do* check that the files I'm uploading are in proper order - and they are - this only happens when I upload with FileZilla - it's the only common denominator to this issue), and I know it sounds crazy. But I guess someone should know about it and see if I've got some really obscure bug.

If a file transfer aborted and later resumed, there will be a dialog asking what I want to do with the existing file (renaming, replacing, resuming, etc.).

However, if the path and/or filename is too long, the dialog gets very wide and because FZ3 puts the box to a specific position, the right part of the box won't be displayed and you have to move the dialog to the left, so that you can choose from the options.

When logging to my HTTP Proxy Filezilla send Base64 encoded user:pass with an extra '=' character at the end. This is not supported by my company proxy and doesn't seem to be required by base64 standard.

I can go to the next directory down (..) but I can't browse up anywhere. the program prevents it.

Filezilla ignores Windows options to not show hidden files and shows everything. This leads to accidentally uploading thumbs.db and other hidden files to the server unnecessarily. Maybe this could be tied to the 'Show hidden files on server option' or made its own option if it's too much trouble to poll Windows settings.

The sorting algorithm in the (remote) tree view seems to differ from the algorithm in the (remote) file view underneath. On one hand (german) vowel mutations are grouped amongst the classic vowels but on the other hand they are listed at the end.

In FileZilla 2 the ftp user's password was encrypted, for example Pass="010006086069122079112100". In FileZilla 3 (3.0.0-beta11) the sitemanager.xml file in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\FileZilla contains the ftp user's password in plain text, for example <Pass>mysecretpassword</Pass>.

I think it is obvious why this is so bad. I could not find this logged as a bug anywhere and so have raised this to make sure it is addressed.

I checked and found a bug entered from 2005. (didn't seem to have any answer) However, I am suffering today.

Client is XP PRO. Connecting to a Linux box (Linux router.dta.ca 2.6.9-55.0.2.EL)

When I connect the times are +4 hours off. So it reads in FileZilla as 13:08 instead of 09:08. I set the time zone offset (TimeZoneOffset="-4" ) accordingly and the times are ok.

The Linux timezone is EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) - correct. Double checked the time and it is fine. When I drop a file onto my Linux box via FileZilla the FILE TIME is correct.

Current FileZilla is 2.2.32.

Very odd. Points to a "how is Filezilla determining the proper time zones?" question.

I dropped a file into another site and sure enough the time was wrong (compared to what my time zone is). The only issue is I have no control of that box so I am unsure what timezone it is in nor it's settings.

using TLS connect to a site using unknown certificate, when click 'Always trust certificate in future sessions', it only work for current instance of FileZilla3. After close FileZilla3, next time, it will ask again.

On Vista Ultimate, when starting and shutting down FileZilla 3.0.0-rc1 following message is displayed:

"Could not load 'C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\FileZilla\queue.xml', please make sure the file is valid and can be accessed. The queue will not be saved."

Uninstalling and installing FileZilla does not solve the problem.

The path and file queue.xml are existing.

After FileZilla installation, queue.xml is 0 bytes - no entries in the file.

Removing queue.xml and restarting FileZilla solves the problem. New queue.xml is created with following content:

It is possible that queue.xml deployed with the FileZilla setup is empty instead of the expected? xml declaration line (see above).

The View/Edit selection is missing from the popup window when a file is right clicked.

Limit number of simultaneous connections (set to 1) nullified any transfer from local to remote. Files and folders would just hang in Queue infinitum, with status "connecting".

Upgraded to nightly build, and tried un-checking "Limit number of..", again, with success.

Scroll wheel on mouse causes FileZilla to fail and close during session. Probably due to side-to-side motion rather than up and down scrolling.

Using Filezilla 3.0.0.RC2 under feisty.

This release comes with Blukis icon set, in all three sizes.

Selecting in Settings > Interface > Themes: Blukis, changes the Icon Set, but there is no intuitive way to change the interface icon sizes.

Tried selecting "Large icons" in the Preview, the clicking OK, but that did not help.

Missing "icon set size" combo-box perhaps?

For some reason a few of the Blukis icons look visibly jagged in my nowadays common display size (1280 x 1024)

The same icons loaded in SVG format (as posted in Filezilla forums) in Inkscape and then displayed at the same icon size/resolution (32 x 32, 64 x 64) look awesome, so this seems to be easily fixable.

This is specially evident in the icons containing the refresh circle, upload and download arrows, and the little earth.

In Filezilla 2 it was possible to navigate a remote ftp-server with the keyboard. When pressing a key, Filezilla navigated to the first file starting with that letter. This also worked with multiple files with the same first letter, in that case you could cycle between those files.

It seems this functionality is gone in Filezilla 3 rc2.

Test case:

1. Connect to any FTP-server.
2. Open a directory with 2 or more files
3. Press the first letter key of some of the files/subdirectories in the current directie

Expected: Filezilla would navigate to the file with the corresponding first letter

Seen: Nothing happens

I use the Zune-Desktop Theme from Microsoft on Windows XP, but the Toolbar of FZ3 stays on a different color (see Attachment). Maybe the color of the Toolbar is not linked to the correct windows-elment-color.

I've just enabled file filtering with the following pattern : remove file ending with either ".php~" or ".css~" on local view

Now, with this filter enabled, every time I start uploading a file using drag and drop (the bug doesn't appear using double-clicking), I get a kind of random file selection on the local view (just when I drop the file).

Hope it's precise enough...

In the queue display the rows with detail information for active downloads (time elapsed, ETA, progress bar, transfered bytes, speed) do not move when scrolling. They keep their absolute position and hide other rows, which seem to "move under" the detail rows.

Surprisingly correct behaviour can be observed when scrolling with the mouse scrollwheel or by using cursor keys when a row is in the queue table is selected. To reproduce the bug press the buttons of the scroll bar or drag its slide.

Filezilla 2.2.32 (older versions too): Deleting multiple files from an AIX ftp server takes very long. When deleting > 1000 files, it will take about 10 seconds per file. If, in the remote file list, the cursor is set to a file outside of the list of files to remove, deleting speeds up dramatically. The application locks up (can not be interrupted), and usually needs to be terminated to gain access to the remote system again. No information (except the times) can be generated from the debug settings. This looks like a problem with the GUI when deleting an entry from the list of selected items when a file is remotely deleted.

I cannot run any Filezilla on Windows 95 since 2.2.20 to cuurent version. I tracked down he last working version was 2.2.19a. After installing bugzilla and attempting to execute it I get a popup error message:

C:\Program Files/Filezilla/Filezilla.exe The device connected to tthe system does not work.

(sorry, the actual message is not in English so I have to translate that).

A second popup window contains:

Error during program execution File FILEZILLA.EXE is connected/linked to USER32.DLL:EndMenu

Warning, not only are there NO viable release notes, version 3 install to a new directory - for no known reason, does not read any settings from version 2, and someone decided it was not important enough for people to be able to import all their settings, for the "reason" that the file structure is different! That's a lame excuse, since the file structure certainly was known to the team and could be transferred

Someone(s) surely took a lot of time to build a new version - and then did not create it in a very logical way. Why not do it right the first time, as now most of my sites will not work because someone did not think about what they were doing? I now have to spend a couple of hours repairing the damage.

This should have been a HUGE warning and a release notes that actually says something - neither of which there was!

I was happy with this software for years, now someone(s) need to go back to school and learn that an upgrade is for improvement, adding features - not to remove features and settings.

Can we get the settings so they import as this a a LARGE bug!

Using 1024x768 pixels the "settings"-dialog appears at the right side of the screen with some part no longer visible.

It is not possible to view the file-sizes in kilobytes or megabytes any more.

That would be very appreciated to concisely see how large the files are.

There is no way to hide

the server-protcol at the top, the queue at the bottom and the quick-connect-bar

by default.

When changing languge of FileZilla client from estonia to russian half of application still in estonian language.

If the user tries to upload a file to a remote directory that they don't have write access to, a dialog will pop up saying that the file in question already exists and prompting for actions in that case. Also, the file will appear in the directory listing until refreshed.

This can be very confusing if the user doesn't realise they're trying to write to a write protected folder.

Bug observed in FileZilla 3.0.0 under Windows XP.

Each time I open FileZilla, both the local and remote directory panes (at the top in standard view) get larger and larger, up to a point. If I make them smaller by moving the bar upwards, next time I open FZ they have moved down a little.

They seem to stop moving down when they have reaced about halfway (ie directory and file panes are same height).

FileZilla 3 isn't correctly accepting the command-line parameters that FileZilla 2 did.

In previous versions of FileZilla, one was able to drag sites to/from folders in the File Manager. Now, you are not able to drag them at all (the dimmed icon usually shown during dragging does not even show)

When dragging a folder from the remote, to a folder inside FileZilla (default bottom left quarter-pane), the new folder just transfers and the window does not refresh or show the new folder.

When I use FileZilla 3.0 (and 3.0.0-rc3) to upload 30 - 45 MB files to my web server, the connection gets dropped every 10 minutes. I click on Quickconnect and the file transfer continues. I called my web hosting company and they thought FileZilla was the problem. Today I transferred a file to the same server using a different client (FTP Commander) and it worked fine. My connection was never dropped.

A tech support person at my web hosting company tested the same transfer using an old version of FileZilla (2. something) and it worked fine. I wanted to let you know.

We generate very large files, often 10-12GB, which we use Filezilla to manage. I've noticed that sometimes when I ask Filezilla to delete a file that is this large, it will frequently disconnect. When I reconnect, I see the file is in deed deleted, but I think this qualifies as a bug. If the disconnect occurs while deleting multiple files, when I reconnect, all files after the one that caused the disconnect remain. I've seen this in both FZ2 and FZ3.

When we double click on any VMS folder, we are getting the following error:

"550-Failed to set default directory to FOLDERNAME;1." "550 invalid directory"

Notice that FileZilla shows the folder with version number (which is usualy ";1"). For example, a folder called "FOLDERNAME.DIR;1" is shown "FOLDERNAME;1" when it should be "FOLDERNAME".

In FileZilla v2.x the FileZilla.xml had the Passwords MD5 hashed. In FileZilla 3, the XML files are stored in the %USER%/Application Data/FileZilla folder. The sitemanager.xml file stores the passwords in Plain Text and not as a MD5 Hashed value. If the SiteManager settings are exported, we find the passwords stored as plain text in the exported file. Atleast sitemanager.xml should have the passwords hashed.

Hi, with filezilla 3.0 , when i want to ftp from my pvr(KISS DP558) a file named AUX - Mar 11-09-2007 20_30_21.vob In my pc folder it appears as "30" (without extension) with a size of 0ko, and filezilla says the transfert has been successful! this problem doesnt occur with filezilla 2.2.32 with the same settings(pasv mode and ascii file "auto") best regards

if a file on the remote server is actually a symbolic link, it is displayed as a directory: the directory icon and filetype "Folder". doubleclicking on one of these remote symlinks then attempts to get a directory listing of that file and unsurprisingly fails.

however, putting functions flawlessly (the target of the symlink is updated). i haven't tested getting as far as i know.

Clic on the first file, press F2. Press the down arrow, and press F2 again. Press the down arrow, and press F2 again. Press the down arrow, and press F2 again.

Then double clic on the ".." folder to go to the parent folder. See any problems? :)

Regardless whether or not Filezilla is the application in focus or not, the windows shortcut Windows Key (Which in its self is Ctrl + Esc) + the M key minimizes all windows except Filezilla. It seems the filezilla just seems to be switching itself to no longer being in focus rather than minimizing.

Version 3.0.0 Bug seen on windows XP Pro SP2, and Vista Home Premium Edition, other windows verions not tested.

When using the site manager it would be nice if it saves the size and position you left it. This is especially annoying when you have sites with bigger names. At least size would be good enough for me.

Also, it would be nice if you can organize sites by dragging and dropping. I created folders to seperate work, personal for example to find I had to recreate all the sites again vs. just moving them. Now a move to would work as well if drag and drop is to buggy.

Reset item from failure queue to normal queue, the ErrorCount never reset.

if we not using ip address directly for server, and after we lost connection, the hostname resolve will be failure. FZ3 will try to reconnect immediately, no any delay.

I think this should have delay for OPTION_RECONNECTDELAY.

When copying several subfolders, filezilla always sows the content of these folders for a moment.

After having shown the last subfolder, one again sees the "beginning-folder" at the top (all this on on the server-side).

But the address-bar for the server still displays the name of the subfolder the last files were copied from.

This is a bit confusing.

(Opening another folder finally corrects the path displayed.)

Windows Vista Home Premium, Filezilla 3 - cannot create a new connection in the connection manager. Connection manager fields are greyed-out, and there is no context right-click menu on the accounts to create a new connection. Quickconnect does work fine.

There is no longer the section Edit->Settings->FTP Proxy Settings in the UI. No other ways of setting the FTP proxy were found!?

Click on Desktop (root of file/folder tree in left-hand pane) gives message "Failed to get desktop path" - running on WinXP Pro x64, client 3.0.0. Desktop is in registry correctly, but is a redirected folder to a CIFS share... (consequently does not appear under c:\Documents and Settings\<username>\)

When I download a file, it ask me to overwrite, resume, ... The third checkbox is "N'aAppliquer qu'aux téléchargements". It should be "N'appliquer qu'aux téléchargements".

Downloading files with colons in their names from environments that allow such things to an environment like windows that does not results in unexpected behavior.

Reproduce: Have four files named '4:30.jpg' through '4:33.jpg', and try transferring them to a Windows machine. The result will be a single empty file with name '4'.

The main window is constantly jumping off the screen. I have two physical monitors connected to the ATI X1900XT graphics card and FileZilla's window seems to reposition itself off those screens whenever I do something like Maximize or open a child window in the application.

I just downloaded and installed the current released version today. This doesn't happen on the PC/Windows version I use.

FileZilla Client (3.0.1 19. Sept) saves the window size - but not the window position on close (it starts always placed on 0,0 upper left corner). however any other windows programm does this: save the window position on close. when opening again, it comes back to the same postion (in my case 2. monitor fullscreen)

I've attempted to build FZ3 (3.0.0 and 3.0.1) for Cygwin (cygwin-1.5.24, gcc-3.4.4, wxGTK2-2.8.4), but the build fails when linking filezilla.exe:

filezilla-QueueView.o: In function `_Z41static_initialization_and_destruction_0ii': /usr/include/wx-2.8/wx/event.h:2266: undefined reference to `impfzEVT_GRANTEXCLUSIVEENGINEACCESS'

I'm not sure why this is happening, but I did notice that this is the only wxEvent call that appears in more than one source file.

Currently, everytime you start the app (v3.0.0) it repositions the windows to the default.

For instance, with the 'classic' layout, I need to resize the directory listings because, compared to the 'local site' and 'remote site' frames, the directory listings are much to small. However next time I restart Filezilla, these positions are reset.

In previous versions, there was a settings option for remembering window positions. This should be reintroduced.

Nowhere on the interface, once you've connected to a server, does it actually display which server you are connected to. Not the menu bar or anywhere within the window itself.

In the list of queued files and failed / successful transfers, there is a server history of sorts, but this doesn't help to determine where you are currently connected if you are switching between many different servers over a period of time.

Windows vista, filezilla 3 is disconnecting every 30 seconds. I've tried changing settings, it wont keep a connection.

Filezilla 2 did not have this problem for me.

These commandline options were supported in Filezilla 2.x.

Limited usability issue for users with many files:

Summary: When listing a directory it seems there is a limit of 2000 items Filezilla will display at a time. This affects at least versions 2.x through the lastest 3.0.1.

Reason for conclusion: I have a directory with maybe 2,200 files or so. When using my cpanel file manager I can see the last 200+ files but can't see them through filezilla. In my case I have 2 subdirectories in this directory. Filezilla displays the ".." up directory, my two subdirectory, then 1997 files, for a total of 2000 items in view.

Alternative fix: If this is a desired limit for security or possible bug problems, maybe there could be an option in settings that allows a person to override this max limit with a user entered max number of listings. This would allow those like me who keep huge listings of files to continue to use this excellent FTP program.

Hello... When opening the Site Manager or Preferences Pane, the main application screen shoots across my screen into a corner. Then, I get two error messages (see attached) and then I can not access the Preferences. I can enter the Site Manager.

If you don't put a password in the site configuration in the site manager, Filezilla will not prompt for one. I do not want the client to save/cache passwords for administrative accounts. This worked properly in 2.2.31 (and prior), but is broken in 3.0.1.

When I try to connect to the host server for our website the connection times out. It appears that the login information is not being submitted to the server.

When I use Filezilla 2.2.32 I do not have the same problem. The beta version of Filezilla is 3.0.1

Mac OS X version (Intel version specifically in this case).

Whenever a new window is opened such as when clicking the "Open the site manager" button, the current window relocates (sometimes off the screen) and the new window opens in a random location.

If the main window relocates off the screen, the only way to fix it is to quit and restart filezilla.

If I have Filezilla 3.01 open, and then I open the site www.bradesco.com.br in Internet Explorer 7, Filezilla crashes.

If the site is allready open in Internet Explorer 7, and then I try to open Filezilla, it opens and crashes again.

On my system, FileZilla Client 3.0.1 takes approximately 25 seconds to start. This time period is fairly constant whether or not the file is cached.

FileZilla 2.x had relatively short startup times.

I am using Filezilla 3.0.1 (build date: 2007-09-19) on Mac OS X (version 10.4.10)(Dual 2GHz powerPC G5),

The main application seems to work fine (from the small use I have had from it) however, whenever I open a window from the main app, (ie, site manager, update widow, about info) the location of the main application window is pushed down about half the height of the desktop toward the bottom of the screen, If I open 2 windows in a row, the main application is moved completely off screen, and the only way I have found to bring it back is to close down filezilla and open back up again.

When uploading a 96k .htm file called "CITY OF BROOKSVILLE.htm", the file size is about a 1000 bytes smaller than the original when it finishes transferring.

I have tried playing with the Auto/Ascii/Binary settings without success.

FTP Voyager 12 (which I'm trying to dump for FileZilla) does not suffer from this issue.

Also received an unexptected disconnect or two from the ftp server.

Server file list not updated on file permission change.

When you edit the permission on a file on the server the file permission doesn't change in the list view.

We have to refresh the view.
