The window is stuck on top, cannot maximize or minimize or lower, so cannot see about 1 inch on top.

I'm trying to build filezilla 3.9.0.2 on Arch Linux and I get the attached build errors (starting around line 200). I'm building against wxgtk 3.0.1.

Is this an issue with wxgtk or filezilla?

I built FileZilla 3.9.0.2 against wxWidgets 3.0.1, but i don't see any information displayed in the Message Log Panel

Filezilla window is off screen, top left. Can't see close/zoom red yellow green buttons or window header.

Probably related to me having two monitors (one 1920p main monitor, smaller MacPro laptop acting as second monitor).

Most apps have a Window menu with the zoom option so I can fix this, FileZilla doesn't. Tried closing and opening the app. Tried changing desktop res. No go.

Hi,

Since I update to 3.9.0.2 the folder "Documents and settings" of my local C drive is considered as a file (even if it still shown as a folder).

And so when I sort the local drive by name, "Documents and settings" is under every other folders which it shouldn't be. And if there is a file beginning by a letter before "D" then the file is shown before the folder "Documents and settings". So the folder "Documents and settings" appears in the middle of the files list !!!

I revert back to 3.9.0.1, everything is back to normal.

I uploaded folder and files in Windows XP 3.9.0.1 client without issues. Folder [Képek] with special character (é) is not listed in OSX 10.9 client 3.9.0.2. Other ftp clients could list as [K�pek]

FileZilla client fails to download a file with a space as first character in SFTP mode. When starting the transfert, file is added to "Queued files" and then moved to "Failed transfers" with message "Could not start transfer"

Installing new version receive message error "Error writing temporary file. Make sure temp folder is valid." C:\Temp is there! Toshiba 64 bit system

When using FileZilla, I randomly get an error message stating that filezilla.xml could not be removed, then in brackets it says the file was removed successfully. See the attached file for a screenshot.

I can't tell what causes this error - it seems to just have begun happening since 3.9.0 was released and sometimes occurs when changing directories, starting an upload, completing an upload, or switching back to the application when using something else. It appears to have no effect on the operation of the software - it's just an annoying error message that frequently appears.

When using the remote file search - the result in the dialog window can not be downloaded nor deleted.

When clicking on a file in the result of my search I normally get two options: Download or Delete - but when clicking one of them - the sub-window does not open. There is no action at all.

When you try to rename something while already in rename mode, the client crashes.

e.g. When you're browsing files in the file list, whether local or online, it's possible to click a file and then click it again to rename it,

but right before the filename gets selected and 'rename mode' is entered, it's possible to right-click the file and get the normal context menu.

By then clicking 'Rename', the client crashes.

I had to downgrade to 3.8.1 from both 3.9.0.1 3.9.0.3 Only 3.8.1 was stable against a problem I started to have with the new version with the display driver. Every time the display needed to refresh using FileZilla, like connecting to server or confirming overwrite, the display would go black before FileZilla next screen refreshes and the display driver recovers and shows the new screen

Upon connecting to a remote server, clicking the binocular icon to use remote file search, and then performing a search, attempting to right click a file or folder and then selecting download will not perform the action. The file/folder will not be added to the download queue. If "Delete" is selected instead of "Download", that file/folder will also not be deleted.

Contacted Yahoo support... They indicated they suspect Filezilla has a bug, because they have received many calls this past week where customers are no longer able to FTPS to manage their small business hosting. Suggested contacting Filezilla support... This behavior is the exact same from any of three different servers I have, on three different networks, at 3 separate locations... I updated my fileZilla to newest version, after that i get FTP folders listed many times. One folder ex. named "folder002" is listed 9 times, one by one, like: folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002 folder002

This happened after program update.

When I upgraded to 3.9.0.3 (using the update feature within the program so should be a legitimate update) connections failed each time on the two separate FTP servers I connect to (see files). IF I uninstall 3.9.0.3 and re-install 3.9.0.2 (I kept both install packages on my machine) the same servers work fine and connect with no problems. This is a repeatable fault as I have now switched between the two versions a number of times and BOTH sets of settings in the Connection Managers appear to be identical in both versions of the software.

In the past few versions I'm unable to paste the password into the dialog box displayed when I want to connect to one of the sites from site manager.

I use the FileZilla client to both place and retrieve files on a secure server.

The client is changing the YEAR portion of the timestamp on files from 2014 to 2013.

I have my settings to "preserve timestamp" and the month, day and time remain correct, but the YEAR is changed from 2014 to 2013.

When I transfer a file from my network location to the server, the YEAR changes to 2013.

When I transfer a file from the server to my network, the same thing happens.

DISPLAY observations:

When I simply VIEW files newly placed on the server by a sender other than myself, in FileZilla the YEAR appears changed to 2013. However, when I VIEW that same file on the server with a different FTP tool (such as WinSCP) the YEAR on the file correctly appears as 2014.

Files on my own network that I simply VIEW in FileZilla remain unchanged with the correct 2014 YEAR. The YEAR on my files changes from 2014 to 2013 when I transfer to the server side using FileZilla.

This is NOT solely a display issue, because on files I transfer off the server to my network, the YEAR is actually changed on the file timestamp.

Filezilla seems to install the update in normal operating mode but every time i close the app and then open it again it want's to upgrade to version current. this installation is accepted for the duration of the usage but when the program is closed and opened again the update is no longer active.

Although, when you run it in Admin mode it works well.

PS; you guys are really kidding when you have the reams and reams of information how to submit a fault report? Do you really think people are going to read all that to fix a fault? It's easier to get a different product.... Please consider.

When I use FileZilla 3.9.0.3 to log into my CentOS 6 server via SFTP, it seems that

Using the 'mv' command itself in a SSH session and it works fine.
If the file size are small (less than 50Mb or so), the moving process will work OK.
The files in the log above is at least 1.5GB in size.

I have monitor set to 1080 resolution but the new file zilla client 3.9.0.3 blinks when I click the remote host folder to list contents in SFTP session. Eventually after several incidents the system crashes with blue screen of death

The last two times I did an update I was unable to connect. Eventually, after a week or so it started working again and had no issues connecting until the next update. Now I am getting the same error as last time

After installing a new update 3.9.0.5 my quick connect data is lost and I have to enter all the data and passwords etc again.

Bug Description

Started FileZilla
Opend Pre-Saved Connection to my NAS from outside the home-network with a dyndns-connections via no-ip.biz
Openend 3 directories (main-sub-sub) to get to my destination
Then selected 5 folders in windows explorer
Via Drag'n'Drop I plannted them inside the destined destination inside FileZilla FileZilla copied some and then crashed

On my Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 with QHD+ screen, one of the parameters pages doesn't display properly (see screenshot)

When you have a large list of sites and you bring up the list of sites, the bottom scroll arrow no longer shows when the desktop is configured to have the Taskbar at the top of the screen.

Sites can be still scrolled through by use of the arrow keys, but there is no way to navigate to sites below via the mouse.

BUT: Every time a install a new version, Malware software gets installed without any option of not to select. The product is something called Optimizer Pro.

Every time I have a lot of work getting rid of that stuff.

1) Uninstall work ok 2) My Antimalware product (runs every day) gives results as shown below 3) Spybot gives results as show below, even after uninstall, so traces remain in registry!

Today again an email for a new Filezilla version, but I think I will remain on the old(er)version, or even swith to another cleaner ftp software.

When i have connection with my domain hosting and something has changed on the server side, by that i mean a new folder or a new file, i cannot see this in FileZilla. Even when I press F5, the local maps are beiing refreshed but the remote maps stay as the are. Likt it is beiing refreshed from a cache file ore something. To see the 'fresh' content on the remote folder i have to disconnect and reconnect.

I'm on mac 10.9.4. This is how filezilla is opening here. I can't move filezilla window because it's under the top bar.

Filezilla version is 3.9.0.5. I not sure but as I remember this started to happen after 3.9 update.

On my Windows the message log is shown overflow. May you fix it please?

Sorting columns in queued files doesn't not work. I tried to sort by file size or any other colums and it didn't work

Starting point:

I've got Filezilla client open on a macBook with an attached Thunderbolt display. The lid of the macBook itself is closed, so only the Thunderbolt display is active. The Filezilla client is positioned normally somewhere in the center of the screen.

Actions:

Now I disconnect from the Thunderbolt display and I take the macBook with me. In a meeting I'm using the macBook normally, without any other displays attached (I didn't check the position of the Filezilla client). When returning to my desk, I connect the macBook to the Thunderbolt display, and then the Filezilla client has itself poisitioned mostly out of the screen. I can't change the location in any way anymore.

Please note that this is a different bug report from #3264.

Steps to reproduce:

• connect to a server
• on the local side (left), select a few folders
• right-click and upload

Expected result:

• for each folder, it should OBVIOUSLY first create the folder, then upload the files.

Observed results:

• for each folder, systematically, the "put" command to upload the first file in the folder is sent BEFORE the mkdir command to create the folder. So, unless the folder already existed on the server, that file upload gives an error and is not uploaded.

ALSO, whenever a file gives an error it should be kept in the queue so that you can retry!!!

This level of unreliability make FileZilla completely unusable. You have to check all the files one by one, because there may have been any such random error and you wouldn't even know.

I think this is a regression. I have used FileZilla for ages and had never seen such a thing before.

I am using filezilla 3.9.0.6 on linux with wxWidgets 3.0.2.

After starting filezilla, without connecting to a server or doing anything, the filezilla process uses 99% of a CPU Core, and the X-Server process raises its CPU load from 1% to about 60%.

After first successful connection, i can upload file or files, but the next time I try to upload another file in the directory, it tells me it cannot connect to the server, response 421

We are getting ready to start implementing AppLocker in our environment. We use FileZilla extensively. Can you guys start entering your signature into the EXEs you create? The publisher information. This will help on allowing people in our organizing to be able to update their own Clients without the IT department needing to be involved everytime you do an update. Trying to search for files bigger than 4 gigabytes. I have the option in bytes which after my math should be 4000000000 FileZilla gives the error:Invalid size in condition. How can one search for large files over 2 GB?

working w/ two external monitors on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and FZ client 3.9.0.6 is sometimes only showing lower half of FZ window. Other upper half is out of monitor. Could be a Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite bug as well.

For some reason uploads start to fail soon as the successful transfer count reaches 14,385 (or close to this number).

This happens both when a large directory holding in excess of 14,385 files is uploaded and also when several smaller uploads totalling more than 14,385 files are uploaded.

The only way I have found around this is to pause the upload when the successful upload count gets close to 14,300 then shutdown FileZilla to clear the successful transfer log count, re-open FileZilla and resume the transfer of files in the queue.

If there is a way around this I will appreciate someone telling me.

I have a very large file -- 320+MB -- and when I upload it to our FTP Side, after about 30-45 minutes, it ALWAYS ends on the Failed Transfers list with the reason "could not start transfer."

This error is (a) obviously erroneous as it just uploaded the file. I can verify this by first deleting the version on the site and then uploading a new version. When it's done uploading the new version is there; and (b) it didn't actually fail because if I download the file (which is a signed exe) it passes all integrity checks and its signature is still intact which it wouldn't be if it had failed.

When going through the install process for the client on OS X, MacKeeper is installed. This shouldn't happen.

When I start a new connection and it's successful, the file toolbar and the website details (port, domain etc.) toolbar disappear. When I wave my mouse pointer over where they're supposed to be they reappear but only where the tabs are.

Thought it strange that the automatic Filezilla client updates are finding their way to my ~/Documents folder instead of ~/Downloads

Guessing this is just a "typo" or something, as downloading an application into the Documents folder doesn't make a whole lot of sense!

Buddy of mine runs a server that doesn't allow password authentication at all, only allows public-private key exchange. Since the keyfile is password-protected I've got Pageant set up and working for PuTTY for shell access, but FileZilla doesn't want to cooperate.

I tried using this same Pageant/Filezilla/key combo to get onto my webserver, which has the same pub key installed (but allows password authentication as well if I choose to use it), and everything works. I can paste that logfile also if needed.

I believe this to be similar to ticket #8934 (​http://trac.filezilla-project.org/ticket/8934) but since that never got resolved I guess I don't know for sure. In the logs below, I've modified the server name by inserting SERVER where relevant to mask a portion of it.

This is using Filezilla version 3.9.0.6 (latest according to Checking for Updates as of this posting) running on Win7 SP1. There is only one key loaded into Pageant, which is Release 0.62.

This is happening when I try to open a new tab. It overlays the current tabs. Also the tabs are not switchable in this case.

With some files, overwrite is confirmed but although the date of the file changes, the content does not. Also the file size remains the same.

When I use the Manage Bookmarks feature, the items are ordered case insensitively. When I close the Bookmark manager, I see that the bookmarks are ordered case sensitively. I think this should be standardized to case insensitive. When you have the time ;)

when i "View/Edit" file with same file name, when i upload the last edited file it overwrite the first one.

details :

1. "View/Edit" on a file, (i use Brackets code editor).
2. edit that file, Save, and return back to FileZilla, it will display a message that file have been edited, upload that file.
3. navigate to other directory, find the same file name, "View/Edit" that file like in step 2. return back to fileZilla, upload it.

4 check the file, in my case the first edited file is overwrited by the last edited file. the last edited file is no chages.

those 3rd-party open source software offers during installation actually sometimes are malware. not sure what percentage. but I would avoid them all, a lot of them look pretty questionable in concept.

please remove the 3rd-party software installs and leave filezilla a plain filezilla (and safe from the 3rd-party malware we all have to avoid now).

My hard drive recently crashed and I had to do a factory reset to get back up and running. This also meant re-installing all the programs. (thanks to Carbonite for saving our data).

After re-installing FileZilla we're now experiencing black outs as the "Display Adapter Fails" then recovers. We also use HighTail and TeamViewer with no problems.

We're running a Dell quad processor machine with the standard "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" on board video driver. The driver is current and up to date. We didn't have this problem before the crash so I can't be certain where the problem lies. My system checks out fine with all trouble shooting tools.

The last time that I updated the Compila hosted site was 29th November 2014 so would have used version 3.9.0.6 at that time.

I reported the problem to 'support' at Compila and they could find nothing wrong and could access the servers with my website files on.

I have always updated to the latest Filezilla version and in this case have solved my problem by reverting to version 3.9.0.6 - all now works fine. There seems to be a possible bug with version 3.10.0.

I tried to fix this problem all over google. Some reason when ever I try to conenct to FileZilla my screen goes black for a good 5-10 seconds then I get a blue screen. I can't find any solution I downloaded multiple versions of FileZilla and nothing worked.

I have a local server running Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10, connected to my Win7 Pro with the Windows "connect a network drive" functionality. I'm connecting filezilla on a distant ftp host using my Network Drive on OSX as "Local Site".

Before i upgrade my Mac OSX Server to Yosemite 10.10, no issue. But after Yosemite upgrade, i am sometimes not able to get the Mac OSX Network Drive files list.

After a lot of tries, i get was is causing this issue : when the directory has more than 100 elements inside, i can't get the file list. Less than 100 elements, no issue.

Since updating to version 3906 an error message often shows up during use or when closing the program.

Hi, When browsing on my local site in FileZilla, I could not find all of my folders. If I wrote the address to the folder manually then it would work. It turns out, the folders I have changed the Icon for dont appear, and if I remove the icon the appear again.

I just upgraded to the latest filezilla version and it's broken.

When I log on to a server now it errors out trying to list the directory. If I uninstall this version and re-install 3.9.06, it works fine.

Today when I launched Filezilla it asked me to update it. After the upgrade to new version I got error connecting to the ftp server. I checked with other people and they have no problem connecting . Filezilla version is 6.1. 2015-01-07. I attached the complete error messages to this ticket. Please advice.

Something is amiss with the latest release 3.10.0 of FileZilla. I have always downloaded and installed the latest version. Today when I did that, FileZilla stopped working. Can you let me know the fix, or point me to somewhere that I can download the previous version? I am still running the previous version on my backup laptop, and FileZilla works on that one. After installing v3.10.0, every file upload attempt fails with "Could not start transfer".

Hello I downloaded the latest FTB your client and tried to link to my friend's FTP, and he does not care. The server has certified but is not valid, that is, when I go into my friend's panel appears the "https" in red. Try to fix this if I have to go back to the old version.

I use public key authentication for sftp. When files are transferred with FileZilla Client 3.10.0 file permission are not being set properly. They are being set to 000. Previous versions handled the permissions correctly.

Version 3.9.0.6 .has been working just fine. I updated to version 3.10 on my desktop iMac (about 1 year old). Now when I connect to my ftp site using Site Manager nothing happens on the right hand side - it simply says Not connected to any server, If try again using Site Manager I get "FileZilla is already connected".

I've gone back to the previous version so I am able to keep working.

Since the new update recently I am having serious issues with connecting and dropping out while transferring files to hosting server. If and when it does connect it fails after attempting to enter any other folders.

I have already been in contact with my hosting service and everything is working there.

Can you tell me how long a fix will be done and a new update as I need to upload within the next 72 hours client files to server.

After upgrading to the latest version of Filezilla, 3.10.0, it no longer allows me to download or edit files on servers.

The status claims success: Status: File transfer successful, transferred 1,017 bytes in 1 second

This behavior happens regardless of how I download the file (right click download, drag & drop, right click and "edit")

When I drag and drop, it appears in the target folder briefly, but disappears.

Up to this morning I have had no difficulties with Filezilla either when uploading or downloading to a site I have been using for year. This morning I updated Filezilla. Immediately I had a popup notice informing me that the licence to this site was not recognised. The notice allowed me to override this. However, I noticed that the check box allowing me to indicate that this site can be trusted in future had not been enabled.

The site I am trying to connect to is run by Freeola.com, and I was attempting a connection to vip4.freeola.net.

I am concerned that up to noon today I was able to use your software to connect to this site, as I have been doing for several years, and then with the 'improved' update it is now effectively useless to me.

I've just updated to the latest version of FileZilla. Now it times out everytime and I have been unable to do a successful upload. I know it's the version of FileZilla at fault, because I then tried again, on my laptop, with the previous version still installed and succeeded without any problem at all.
